The doors are expensive and they've recently just said 'ya we're not going to pay for them' to get replaced. They've played games with me for 5 months (since March) going hot and cold on finishing the job which includes getting to the point in July where I actually drive 2 hrs to a distributor they identified to verify the new correct doors only for them to go silent for 6 weeks, not place the order, and after 6 weeks just tell us its not going to happen. During a big reno-job for a 1,000 sq/ft condo the company's CEO misordered a number of things (faucets, bathroom vanity's) and cabinet doors which do not match what we already had on the walls. The time and patience I've given this company for their front office has been incredible - including hostility and hangups from the CEO on phone calls. I do no believe the front office of this organizations is capable of managing a larger job and its complexities (not to mention dealing with insurance companies and how to go back and forth on prices and costs). The only upside, I appreciated the handyman they sent out as he worked his butt off and had to constantly redo the work from his rotating cast of sidekicks who seemed brand new.

Randy Parz made several design suggestions that made the project much better. Callie was amazing with the scheduling and communications ! We were so happy that when it was done, instead of buying a media sidetable, we asked Randy to do one custom for us! _______________________________ We bought a condo near Dupont Circle that seriously needed help. We had just sold our LARGE house and moved to the Virgin Islands....but wanted something in DC for visits back North and hiding away in hurricane season. We had used a design consultant on the house and decided to try it with the condo. The only problem was that we were from NYC and didn't know anyone in DC. So we went on the Houzz website where we found an excellent review for Kiera Kushlan and Jessica Centella (Residents Understood) and interviewed both them and two other possibles. They seemed not only to have good design ideas, but were also professional and VERY organized. Our building is a bit retro and after several discussions we decided on something mid-century. After the planning and drawings, we were so comfortable that we asked if they would oversee the work while we were away for the Winter. They did so. In the end, we also re-did the bath -- which they also advised on. And at each stage, if we felt something was too expensive or just not what we wanted, they found great alternatives. Very good communication. They knew contractors (who were great) and delivered a final product that we are thrilled about. It was probably cheaper than doing it ourselves in the long run because there were contractor and supplier discounts and because it went so smoothly. Perhaps we are used to New York prices, but their fee seemed extremely reasonable. It is hard to find people with good ideas who can actually EXECUTE the plan from start to finish. This was a great experience ! Although I rarely outright say this -- I would recommend them to a friend without reservation.
