These guys are thieves. I live 8 hours from town, and was in the area for a sheep hunt. My truck broke down during the hunt but luckily my father drove his own vehicle. We finished Sunday and were now stuck there until my truck could be repaired. This was the week of thanksgiving, so I took my truck in to them first thing Monday morning in hopes that they could get me home before the holiday. At first they blew me off and made it seem like it was gonna take a week, but I'm pretty mechanically inclined and knew the fix would only take an hour or two if they could at least get the parts. After talking it out they said they could get the parts Tuesday morning and would have to pick one thing up in Carson city, lucky for me they were going there anyway for parts of another project Tuesday so my hopes of getting home for thanksgiving were restored. I showed up Tuesday mid day to find that they had just barley left to Carson city and wouldn't be back until late, but they had the first couple parts and the one guy still at the shop for some reason was incapable of fixing it and told me it would now be Wednesday morning before they could work on it. Unfortunately for me, Monday night I was informed that my grandpa was dying, and my dad had left town and drove through the night to try and make it home to say goodbye knowing he only had a couple days left to live. Now I was stuck there by myself but I was determined to try and make it home to say goodbye to my grandpa as well. After explaining all this to the guy at the shop, he was cool enough to let me have the parts and I fixed the truck by myself with my own tools in the parking lot, but just had to wait for the last part from Carson city before my truck was good to go. The project took me maybe 2 hours, I used all my own tools, all I took from them was parts and fluid. And that two hours included an hour walk into town to the hardware store to get bolts that were needed to complete the task because the guy at the shop was gone pretty much the whole day after we spoke. When the other guys finally made it back from carson city at 8:30 PM they pulled into the shop and handed me the last thing I needed. I threw it in in 10 minutes topped off the fluids and was ready to go. I went in to pay for the parts and these crooks charged me nearly 700 dollars in labor for a job that they didn't even have to touch. I had already thought to myself I would kick the shop guys a little cash for helping me out, but they not only charged me 5 extra hours of labor for the job, the made me pay the "skip the line" fee at 50 extra dollars an hour more than their normal rate. I am still absolutely irate about this instance. They took advantage of me full well knowing I was a desperate man in a bad situation just trying to get home to see my grandpa, who died thanksgiving morning. Not sure how anyone could feel good about themselves doing that to anyone. read more
