I just have to say I have never been more dissatisfied in all my days. You come in to the store and the first thing you see is a cockroach crawling on the deli meat. This year for the holidays, my family and I wanted something different for Christmas dinner. We decided to try out Ferrara's Market since they've been around for over 50 years and it is authentic Italian food. I ordered the porketta (6lbs of pork meat rolled with stuffing and Italian prosciutto) and it was absolutely mouthwatering!!! It was so tender and just fell apart. I definitely recommend this for anyone. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was fantastic. The market is now family owned as it is recently under new ownership. As soon as I walked in, I was pleasantly greeted by one of the owners who went above and beyond to explain what each specialty contained and how everything is prepared. I learned that the new owners are actually grandsons of Mr. Ferrara (founder)! The market sells several Italian products that are rarely found in normal supermarkets. They even sell beer and wine! I haven't found any other genuine Italian market like this in the area. It's definitely one of a kind! I will surely be back and I can guarantee that if you go, you won't be disappointed! read more

Ferrara's Market is the best Italian grocery store and sub shop in Franklin. They have all different types of pasta and sauce, Italian desserts(including gelato!), beer and wine, and my favorite...the deli counter. The deli counter not only has a great selection of deli meats, but they also have homemade soppressata and imported prosciutto that melts in your mouth. Fresh cut steaks, marinated steak tips, and chicken can also be found right next to the deli meats. If you're looking for a great sandwich, Ferrara's has an top notch selection of both hot and cold sandwiches that are fresh made. My favorite thing they have is the sausage. They have homemade sweet and hot sausages that are the best I've ever had. I don't know what the secret is but these sausages are tender, juicy, and have a great flavor. Stopped here on the way to a concert in Foxboro to pick up sandwiches that I've heard about. This place has been in Franklin forever and a real local's spot.Got the porketta and the sweet Italian sausage (with their "sauce"- homemade marinara). We enjoyed both sandwiches and found them a good value. It was late in the afternoon on a weekend so a little quiet in the shop, but each person that stopped in during the short time we were there also ordered sandwiches. The shop has homemade Italian sausage to buy that you can bring home to cook. They also have a limited selection of prepared foods in their fridges, including meatballs and pasta dishes. There is a decent selection of wine, Italian snacks, pasta, and other food/dried good products. Recommend. read more

Thankyou Ferrara's for making a special day even better! I was hostessing a baby shower at my house and decided to use a local supplier for the meal and Ferrara's could meet my Sunday schedule. The food was A+ delicious!!!!! Each dish (Chix Cultlet, Eggplant, Broccoli Ziti, Shells, Meatballs , Antipasto Salad) was outstanding. There were a few food connoisseurs at the shower and they went back for seconds. There was so much food and none of my guests were shy about taking leftovers. I've tried their sandwiches three times now, and they're pretty much 'meh'... the last one I got was a very simple roast beef w/ provolone, mayo, and spicy mustard. The roast beef was soooo overdone (no hint of red or pink) and was chewy and rubbery. They must not sell a lot of it, because it was old... the mayo was oozing out of the sandwich, it was nasty. Way too much... Disappointing, 'cause they carry a lot of authentic Italian foods and Italian wines. Just go next door to the Rome and get your sandwiches/subs there first. My coworker insisted we come here, based on a raving recommendation he received from a local, promising that this was hands-down the best spot for a sandwich in the area. The place is definitely half market, half sandwich shop/deli. The walls are lined with wine and beer fridges and then there are tables set up, displaying pastas and sauces. It was to me, one of those places you wonder how it stays in business. Pretty niche for a small town. But, I digress. I came for a sandwich. I ordered a small Italian, with everything and toasted, please. The sandwich was HUGE. Five dollars, too, so definitely a cheap lunch. But, the sandwich wasn't toasted and the majority of the size came from the bulky bread roll it was served on. Too much bread to the amount of fillings in the middle. I think instead of coming here for a sandwich, I still prefer the Italian Groceria shop across the street, which offers a more exciting variety of options and toasts the sandwich bread upon request. read more

Inconsistent. First time I went got a roast beef with all the fixings that was delicious. Got a chicken parm sub the next time and I could literally only taste bread. I started working in the area a few months ago and just tried this place out. I don't know if I'll go anywhere else now. These staff here are personable and very nice. The food = Dynamite. The best sub I've had here happens to be some of the best chicken parm I've ever had. Big homemade Italian bread and homemade everything - sauce and breaded/cooked chicken. What sets this sub apart is the imported provolone cheese. Insanely good. A large chicken parm sub is $7.49 and you could probably take the other half home for dinner. I haven't tried the pizza yet, but if it's half as good as their subs and sandwiches, then I expect another 4-5 star review. Cool little joint to grab deli foods, frozen (and dried) pastas and raviolis, homemade marinara, and other Italian cooking needs. Beer and wine are bonuses. Highly recommended. read more

Ordered 6 sandwiches all on "ITALIAN BREAD???????????????"at a total of $55.69. Not bad except........... 1- Roast Beef My 10 year old granddaughter opened it and said"Grandma what is this" I look at this gray and odd smelling meat and said"NO CLUE" In the garbage it went!! 2- Prosciutto with mozzarella. If you call your self an "Italian deli" you should have fresh Mozzarella. Do not know what that mystery cheese was!! Off came the Cheese. In the garbage! 3- Chicken cutlet with Mozzarella. Really... same mystery cheese. Cheese chicken cutlet dry and hard. In the garbage 4- turkey and mozzarella, Not really, same mystery cheese. Garbage! 5-Turkey and Swiss ate 1/2 very dry and that bread come on REALLY more like a frankfurter bun.1/2 in the garbage 6- Porketta not terrible BUT on that bread again !! Please you can not call yourself an Italian market just because you carry different varieties of pasta. Take some pride in your heritage you should know what an" Italian Market" should be. People please beware when you order a sandwich and it is made in a back room and not in front of you, what are they hiding!!!Obviously stale meats and horrible bread. Truley a land mark in Franklin, Mass. Hands down best italian store around, with football subs, beer, wine, pasta, and many italian goods. Ferraras Market was established in 1961, since then there is no other market that compares. Go see for yourself and check out a little part of italy in franklin!!! read more
