The meat is extremely tender and the cheese is complementary without being heavy-handed. Both the onions and the beef are cooked to the point where they're fully cooked, but not browned (that's probably a plus for some and a minus for others). Almost delicate-- including the soft, squishy fresh seeded roll-- which separates it from other cheesesteaks. I didn't finish hungry by any means, but it's important to note that this isn't the belly buster portion you see at other places. Then again, at $18, it's priced lower than ones around Boston, making it a good value and not requiring a nap after. -- The Don: A chicken cutlet sandwich that skips the red sauce and instead goes for arugula pesto, burrata, aged balsamic vinegar, Parmesan cheese, roasted red peppers, and arugula. The chicken cutlet is the star, thin and crisp, slightly moist, not noticeably seasoned, but warm, crunchy, and large enough to protrude from the sesame seed roll that's cut more like a hot dog roll than a top-and-bottom bread formation. The chicken made me like it, but the light touch with the pesto and balsamic didn't let me love it. Creaminess came through, along with the perpetual crunch. Good sandwich; just not a great one. The Classic (red sauce version, which is probably more up my alley) is next. -- Cookie: Coffee-flavored chocolate chip, both crisp and bendable, with reasonable size and pricing. What impressed me as much as the sandwiches was the professionalism throughout each experience, from order-taking to order-presentation. Precision personified, with high-quality packaging. The sandwiches are probably a 4.5, but the customer service, friendliness, competence, and little touches are what land it easily at a 5. And the prices are reasonable-- regardless of what a certain Franklin local with a keyboard and an opinion wrote more because it fits a narrative he's proud of than based on actual pricing analysis.
