After two years of concerns and disappointment, I honestly wasn't sure anything would change. Today, I met with five members of the Fairhaven team, including management and grounds personnel, to discuss the issues. I am pleased to say they took my concerns seriously and turned a very negative situation into a positive one. They explained the steps they have taken to correct the problem, including repairing and replacing sprinkler lines, addressing irrigation issues, and replacing the dead grass surrounding my father's gravesite. Most importantly, they listened. They acknowledged that the condition of the area was unacceptable and took responsibility for making it right. Losing a parent is difficult, and having confidence that their final resting place is being properly cared for means a great deal to families. I left today's meeting feeling reassured that Fairhaven is committed to maintaining the grounds and preventing these issues from happening again. Thank you to Stephanie Alvarez and the Fairhaven team for responding professionally, meeting with me personally, and taking action to address my concerns. I will continue to visit my father's gravesite regularly, but I am encouraged by the improvements that have been made and appreciate the effort to restore my confidence. Nice chandeliers, 2 screens to show videos remembering the life of the resting person. A little patio with plants, they have a pulpit so a pastor, etc, can share a sermon. I like this place. The employees here are also extremely respectful, hard working and generous. I laid my youngest stepbrother to rest here and they allowed us to stay for the entire burial process. I took note of the efficient ways they work and their professional demeanor. My father said if this was a military cemetery, they would have kicked us out due to having numerous burials. We were glad to have the freedom to stay and leave when we were ready. There was also an issue where my stepbrother did not have an orange county address on their ID or bills, but they still allowed him to be laid here. Thank you is all I can say.

Throughout the process, I had to make numerous phone calls and repeatedly follow up just to get updates and action. It should not have taken constant complaints and persistence from me to have finish this. During an already difficult time, families deserve compassion, communication, and timely service. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I hope this review encourages the cemetery to improve its responsiveness and support grieving families in the future.
