They sell the best meat (goat, chicken, beef, shrimp, etc) rotis. I will buy it at any price and will travel from anywhere to get one. I've been coming here since I was a teenager and the rotis are the best quality and taste. They make the rotis from scratch every morning to have a good stock to start but keep making them fresh throughout the day on a grill that can do 3 rotis at a time. After 37 years they know the cadence and rhythm of making them. I have had rotis far wide and nothing tastes as good as a Feroza's roti. They are in that same little place on Burke Avenue and the son (I think) and daughter (I think) are still running the roti shop. I haven't seen the mom lately and I'm afraid to ask. She's such a lovely woman. Knows everyone in the neighborhood, still remembered me after years of living away and coming maybe once or twice a year. And to my pleasant surprise her daughter (I think) welcomed me with a warm smile of remembrance when I showed up with my daughter and my niece last week to get a batch of rotis. read more

The best Trini Spot in the Bronx. I have tried others and was greatly disappointed. Try everything!! You won't be disappointed. My favorite is the Beef Roti. They would have gotten 5 stars but at times I feel like asking for more Tamarind sauce is a sin... read more

The best roti I have had in the US. If you want good trini food and snacks I definitely think this is the place to go. Great for take out! Friendly staff and affordable prices. read more

Love this spot. But today I was very disappointed because I traveled to get this good roti but they weren't open. I got there at 11 and waited until 11:30. I ended up settling for Richie Rich down the block. What are your hours ? read more

As I enter the place, the line was very long, and the services was very slow. When I finally was able to order, I asked for two doubles, palorie and a solo. I recently visited Trinidad and Tabago and had the best doubles. So When I came across this place I was really excited to taste their doubles. To make a long story short this place double were nothing compared to the ones in Tabago. After eating the doubles from this place, I had a metallic taste in my mouth. The doubles were horrible and I ended up throwing them up and out. I don't think I would return. read more

Feroza's - Trinidadian Near Me - Bronx, New York

Been going here for years. I only get roti. Curry goat is great, fish is even better.

Food feels like home cooked. Service is good. Long lines sometimes but well worth it. I am always satisfied with the food here. Portions are good. read more

UPDATE I'm back, it's now 2012. I now know there ARE chairs and tables in the back. Only a few but still, they are there. The fact this place has been in business over 20 years should tell you something. This is still the best roti I have EVER had. That is all. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The only way this place could be better would be if it was a sit-down restaurant. As far as I could see, there aren't any chairs and tables. However, it is the best roti I have ever had. And I've had some roti. The prices are great. The quality of the roti and the filling is also great. The roti texture is light, not too doughy, not too salty. The 2 train will take you there. Get off at burke. read more

"Indian" is a bit misleading. It's Indo-Trinidadian, so I wouldn't go looking for naan and biryani here. The food is quite good! read more

This place has the best curry goat, curry shrimp and curry chicken. Beware!! It's addictive. Been going here for years. I always get my curry with rice and peas. Make sure to leave a tip. read more

This was the best roti I've ever had. I'm from woodhaven and grew up getting roti in richmond hill and ozone park queens- I've had some great roti but this by far was the best! read more

The best roti hands down!!!! Nothing bad about this place. Even when u call & place it order it is ready on time for pick up.

That little old lady always has her head down, slow as hell but the food is usually good. Gosh they slow! Lol

I drive an hour to get what I consider the absolute best roti, and I've had em all over the world. The staff is always extremely friendly and the food is incredible. I love the beef roti and the doubles that just about melt in your mouth. As a doctor my time is limited, but I always find the time once a week to enjoy there home made food. The gentleman who works there remembered my name after only one visit. Great people and great food. read more

With a Trini wife we are always on the look out for great roti and Feroza's did not disappoint. We ordered three vegetarian roti, one lamb roti and a bottle of Matouk's hot sauce for a total of $27 which is extremely reasonable! And they gave us a free can of soda. The food was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend! We have three go to roti places in Brooklyn on Utica, Church and Nostrand... and now we are adding Feroza's in the Bronx which is easily accessible to I95. read more

Dhal puri is the best thing since sliced bread. Feroza's has some of the best of it that I've had in the city. Their shrimp curry wrapped up in the dhal puri is tops! While I've had better roti elsewhere, nothing beats Feroza's shrimp to curry to potato to cabbage/onion ratio. It's heaven wrapped up in a spicy and succulent blanket of comfort. Also try their chicken curry but don't have that wrapped because it's got bones. Doubles are also delicious. While I love the food, I wouldn't eat there. read more

I have been coming here with my children since 1998. The flavors and the prices are always consistant. The food is always fresh. The family that owns this place are wonderful. I just love this place, looking foward to introducing my grandson to Feroza's Restaurant Roti. To beat the lines its always best to call ahead!! I have them on speed dial :D read more

I literally only come here because its the only half way decent place to get a roti in the bronx. But seriously they are rude and unappreciative of your patronage. They have ZERO customer service. Feroza and her mother are the rudest people on the planet. And they always look unhappy, I've never seen these people smile. The place inside looks old, dirty and rundown. The doubles are gross, the roti is okay. The prices go up, but to me the quality of the food consistently does down. Queens and Brooklyn are both so lucky that they have an array of different and tasty roti shops to choose from. All we really have is this place, and other worse options around. Sigh, come here only if you really craving a roti, otherwise skip it and go somewhere where they are courteous and appreciate your business. read more

I come here frequently and sometimes the line may be out of the door but the wait is worth it. The beef roti is so tender and bursting with flavor! The ladies work hard and sometimes they engage in conversation but other times they look tired. Best roti in the Bronx! read more

As a very proud native of Trinidad and Tobago, I must say Feroza's has been doing an excellent job making roti, curry, buss up shot (aka paratha) and pholourie (those fried balls that come with a dipping sauce (tamarind sauce)). I used to live nearby on Holland Avenue about twenty years ago when I moved to NYC and I would go there when I had a roti craving. However, if you are looking for oxtail, steamed cabbage and rice & peas, please go to the Gun Hill area of the Bronx, where you will find many Jamaican restaurants that carry that type of food. A word of advice for Feroza's, stick to what you know, which is Indo-Trini food (i.e. indian food from Trinidad). They need to invest in a better dining area; it's amazing what a little paint and lighting can do to a restaurant. Also, maybe instead of trying to make oxtails and rice & peas, make some authentic trini food such as pelau, saltfish and provisions, callaloo, macaroni pie etc. But they called themselves Feroza's ROTI shop for a reason, so focus on that. I make my own curries, so I go there now for the roti skins (the flat dough with the ground split peas in between the layers). The ladies who work there are sweet but they do look a bit exhausted and maybe they need to get a well-trained and knowledgeable staff who knows about trini food and culture. read more

These people should be ashamed to call themselves Trinidadian. I went in and asked the woman behind the counter the price of a veggie roti. She then proceeded to talk to the customer behind me instead of finishing talking to me. I said I want a chicken roti and 2 roti skins. When I got home it was a veggie roti. I called to say she got my order wrong and there was no apology. The veggie roti was horrible and disgusting. Customer service is horrible. I will not return. read more

I have been coming here since 1982, and I always have a good experience. The only thing I would tell anyone new is to always ask if there meal has bones in it. I've asked around about other places and get a mixed answer on Roti's having none in them. I don't like bones in my Roti so I always get beef. And if you're not into the hot spicy sauces ask for it to be on the side so you can test it first. Otherwise enjoy!!!! read more

I went to this place to see what all the rave was about, and left highly impressed. The little ladies that own the place were so kind and sweet I felt right at home. I ordered the roti and curry chicken dish, I could have sworn my own grandmother made it straight out here kitchen. If your looking for authentic west Indian (Trinidad) food, look no further. Ill definitely be going back read more

I've been to this place a few times now and I usually get the same thing. Curry goat buss-up-shut, pholourie, and tamarind chutney. My favorite items at a Trini restaurant. I've recently tried their doubles, chicken roti, and pelau. I was NOT impressed at all. I've definitely had better, and I also wished I'd ordered something else, as did the others in my party. It was ok for what it was, I love my buss-up-shut, and since I don't want to go so deep in Brooklyn for a GREAT one, I'll stick to this OK one for now. read more

Well it definitely isn't bad but it isn't amazing either. I got the phoulorie and the chicken roti. Admittedly I was very hungry as it was about 3pm and I hadn't eaten all day so was quite excited and purposeful in my visit. I yelped and took a cab from my random Bx location. Anyway the curry chicken sauce didn't coat the chicken well enough to really be flavorful. The roti skin texture was perfect though. The phoulorie was good but didn't taste like split peas and subtle spices. It tasted only like fried dough. Don't get me wrong I like fried dough...But I wanted phoulorie. The tamarind sauce was a little light weight as well. Not a bad experience and overall a satisfying meal. Thank you! read more

The area may be a little shady, but the food is worth the trip. After a long afternoon getting my hair done at the salon across the street, I was hungry. I couldn't help staring at the sign of the restaurant, and my mouth watered when I thought of Roti. I have only had Roti's from Jamaica, Queens or from my Aunt who is from Trinidad. I keep it simple and always order beef with potato and at Ferozas it was amazing. juicy tasty beef and big pieces and the potatoes were scrumptious. I want some now. If you are in the area, definitely pass by and take some to go. Btw they have the trini favs peanut punch and the moss drink. read more

This restaurant is such a staple in my family. Doesn't matter how far we move away from the Bronx we always come back here to get roti. Line is out the door sometimes and yet I will happily stand on the line and wait. Love love love their food. read more

I use to be obsessed with Feroza's in high school. The quality of the food was amazing like 10 years ago. It's a traditional Trini restaurant with a huge variety of food. Seems as the prices went up the quality of food has gone down. I'd still eat here time to time because I respect mom/pop biz. But I don't jump on the train to go out of my way to come here anymore. The food is just decent, not amazing like it use to be. read more

Man listen. I moved from NYC to ATL 9 years ago and I STILL remember this place. BEST goat roti I have ever had came from this place and we used to go OFTEN. Like 2-3 times per week no lie. I just had to leave a review bc it blows my mind that I still remember how good this place was. Glad to see they're still around and thriving. You should def check them out. I sure wish I could :-/ anyone with a negative review is... Never mind lol read more

I've been eating at Feroza's for over 20 years, and hands down it's the best in the area! I love that it's family owned and run. The weekends tend to be more crowded than other days. And yes, they may be slow, but remember you're getting home cooked food made fresh. Greatness takes time! read more

Co-workers introduced me to this place & the shrimp roti is to die for. Service is very friendly, although not much on decor. But who cares if the food is excellent? Must try!!! read more

The roti here is the best I have ever had. I have been going here since I was young with my family. About 12 years or more. The tamarind sauce is necessary. Also the cod fish balls and polorie! The people also very sweet and respectful. read more

I've been coming to Feroza's for over 10 years and it has never disappointed me. The ladies mean business as you order your food but it's so delicious, fresh and tasty. If you never had Trinidadian food, start here and nothing else will measure up. read more

Went here for the first time last week.. I was hoping to get some roti for guest at my thanksgiving dinner. I was shocked when I was informed they dont do catering and for the holidays you're limited to only 3. I guess the lady saw the dissappoinment on my face and she gace me 4. Other than that...the roti was enjoyable. Service was a bit on the slow side but would visit again. read more

Perfect roti. Not skimping with the large, juicy, well-spiced shrimp. Cabbage and carrots in the roti (never had it like that before). Soooooo good. I'm sad that I just started eating here, so much time wasted. read more

The oxtail roti was tasty but two complaints: the serving itself was paltry for $10, no channa (chickpeas) was available, and the oxtails themselves were small and bony. The comparable spots in Richmond Hill, Queens give you more. But I may have to come back and try a different filling for my roti. Also the ladies behind the counter here, although pleasant, took their oh so sweet time and took 15 minutes to serve the TWO customers ahead of me, which meant I spent nearly 30 minutes in here to get already prepared, steam tray food served to me at 7:30 in the evening. Unacceptable. I can't imagine coming here for a quick lunch. But are you really gonna huff and puff at these kind old ladies? I think not. Really though, one should handle the money and the other scoop up the food, come on! read more

Honestly one of my favorite meals I ever had! It's so comforting you feel loved just by eating it! I get the same feeling everytime. It's so delicious. My favorites the beef roti. It's like a present of delicious! Highly recommend. read more

Food is ok... Service is horrible!! I just called to get info about placing a large order for a party... Lady on the phone said."we don't do those kind of things ok? Bye" and then hung up..... What resturaunt in the right sense would turn down a party order??? I was trying to give them business... And lots of it but the lady on the phone was way too rude and didn't want the business.... Oh well there are tons of other West Indian spots that would love to fill in a party order. read more

Great roti joint. Check out the delicious drinks and snacks, too.
