Authentic, delicious food. Roti. Ox tail. Mac and cheese. Jerk or curry chicken. You name it. They got it. Clean. Friendly. Fast. read more

Food is good a bit mild for traditional Caribbean food though. The curry is good... most of the other food needs a bit more masala.

My roti is paper thin.... for $3.what kind of rip off is this ??? Looks like I got half of the roti and some else got the other half. Update! Instead of reaching out to make things right the owner decides to attack me in a message. And urges me to drink bleach. Make sure not to piss him off if you dare to buy anything! Not that you would want too because even there food has no taste..... good luck and y'all call your selves good church people. Haha read more

Your macaroni tasted disgusting : Be make sue that it taste like macaroni and cheese and not more Ike macaroni salad. It only had cheese on the top. Please make your food out of love. If you have to learn the steps just Google it my dear. But it had no cheese but it reminded me of macaroni salad. I did not like it at all. read more

Doubles were amazing. Curry duck roti was everything. I'll go here every time I'm in Orlando

This place has been renovated. I've been here so many times to pick up food for others but never ordered. I wanted a roti so bad. I finally went here and they were closed. Even though they were closed the owner opened the shop and still let me order my food! The owners Ms. Ann and her husband are the sweetest Caribbean people. Anytime I've gone in this shop whether is morning noon or night they have the same pleasant demeanor. From the moment you walk in they greet you like they are happy to serve their customers. It is such a turn off to walk into an establishment and the person serving my food has an attitude. Like they don't want to be there. It makes me want to turn around and spend my money elsewhere. You can not serve my food from the hands of bad vibes, sorry not sorry! Gives me the impression that none of this was prepared with genuine love. And what I'm putting in my belly matters. As well as were I choose to spend my dollar. I got the veggie roti and the curry shrimp roti because I couldn't decide. And glad I did! I mixed half and half and saved some for the next day because it was plenty left over. The pumpkin chick pea & Callaloo roti is a sweet salty mix . While the curry shrimp wasn't overly spicy but just right. They pair well together so this is why I mixed the two. Was back the next week for more! read more

Doubles thick and savory light pepper. Fried chicken crispy outside, moist inside. I got this delivered and the meal was well packaged.

i absolutely love their roti!!! they make it exactly how i like it and it taste delicious!!!! every time i order my roti, they never fail me!!!! love ann's roti shop read more

The doubles were my favorite, notice how they're not in the picture because we immediately devoured them! The goat was great, the chicken was OK. Don't forget the hot sauce! read more

I wish I read the reviews prior to coming here. It painfully obvious this place is a Hit or MISS. As all the reviews are 5 stars (older reviews) or 1 star (more recent reviews). It's possible the chef has changed. Unfortunately, during my first time dining it was a definite miss. The roti skin was so thick and unflavored. The oxtail was only seasoned with sugar. Smh. Very oily and little to no gravy. I've seen this place for years and never went inside. I didn't have time to go to Feroza's on Burke so I figured why not support another small business (bad idea). My stomach was upset in the middle of the night. I could not sleep. It made me question the cleanliness of the restaurant. *None of the staff had on mask. * None of the chefs had on hair nets * I witness a glove be reused So many red flags. I would advise you to go elsewhere because a visit from the health department is needed at this establishment. Although they truly deserve a 1 star they were very polite which is important in customer service so the 2 star it is. Last, Sadly, they do not practice/enforce social distancing for themselves or their customers. In a tiny space designed for 1 had 4 customers squeezed in. They said nothing as if it were normal despite the possibility of spreading a virus. #coronacentral read more

Delicious fresh handmade rotis that go wonderfully well with Ann's chicken curry. Absolutely worth a visit.

Please don't waste your time, save your money and run. This was absolutely the worst roti and doubles I've ever had in mi life! A picture won't do it justice. read more

So I read the reviews before I went here. I wasn't expecting much. While ordering my meal I saw a guy in the kitchen cutting open a pumpkin. He took the knife and scratch his back with it then continued to cut the pumpkin. Even though that was disgusting. I proceed to order a doubles. The server brought out two pieces of thick dark yellowish orange bread. I'm from Trinidad and that is not how doubles looks. I began to eat it. I tried cutting it because it was hot. Let's just say I almost broke the plastic knife. It was hard as rock. The food has little flavor. Doesn't taste like an authentic island food. I can taste that this food sits over night. It taste a little spoil. I really hope I don't get sick. I was really hungry so I ate it. read more

They must have changed cooks because the food isn't as good as it use to be. Still good but.. ummm .. different. Nice service. I like their fried rice and boneless chicken roti. I just wish they would stay open longer. read more

How dare they serve nasty food, that looks nothing like the picture I based my order on? I brought the awful concoction back 2 minutes later, thinking there was some mistake. The owner refused to replace it, and I wasted my money? I didn't order the curry chicken, because it looked old & dry. read more

I was in the mood for some good old carribean food so i decided to come here, boy was i not disappointed. I usually get a roti but this time i decided on some rice and peas with jerk chicken. The food was seasoned very well and the chicken was super tasty definitely a local spot worth trying again. read more

Love the food here. We look forward to ordering chicken curry and veggie dishes from here at least every couple of weeks. We also call When we need minor modifications such as asking for more spice levels! They are consistent and put a lot of love into their food! read more

Yummy Guyanese Roti shop! This place has never disappointed. From the first time I've entered this roti shop up until present, the food as well as the frankly-friendly service has not changed. They are not just roti either. Mama, Papa, Mr. DJ and crew, as long as you're here, we will be there as well. I would show you pictures of our delicious, mouth-watering curry goat rotis, but we punished them completely. Not even the gravy survived. We will return soon! read more

Very disappointed, used to buy from here all the time... Both my dad and I got food poisoning from here and was very ill... either the food was undercooked or poorly handled read more

What a find! We tried this West Indian take out spot through Seamless and have since come back many times because their food is so good! The roti is perfect but I'm not a huge fan of the puri. Not a problem though coz I'm perfectly happy ordering either roti or rice. My fiance loves getting the chicken roti while I am constantly craving their curry goat. So good! The curry shrimp is a close second. I've also had the oxtail and it is delicious but not the best West Indian style oxtail I've had. read more

I found this restaurant through yelp. I am always looking for a roti shop. I live upstate near Middletown NY and there are none. I normally have to go to Brooklyn for roti. I ordered a shrimp roti and doubles. I also used grub hub for the first time, both experiences were satisfying. The shrimp roti was very good with a lot of shrimp and was like an extra large serving. I ordered 4 doubles because they usually sell out fast and by the time I get to the restaurant in bklyn they're gone. I had doubles for snack and lunch the next day. BTW doubles are two pieces of cooked round flat dough with crushed Chick peas and some kind of curry sauce. Can you say "delicious" yup (did we just become best friends) either way when I am working in Yonkers again I will order from ANN'S Roti shop through GRUBHUB again. read more

Best place to get roti! Great price food is always hot so this is ideal for a quick bite. Tastes so good!

I live in Mount Vernon and typically go to Feroza's in the Bronx. I wanted to try something closer to home. Ann's is just so so. The main problem I had was that the roti and doubles were not tender they were too thick, heavy, and oily. Also the boneless chicken for the roti and channa for the doubles was bland. Finally when I want pepper it should be savory and have kick! Their pepper is on the mild side no kick. They were very friendly here which was nice. read more

This is now one of my favorite restaurants around! I order the vegetable roti and it's incredible! The flavors of the vegetables are delicious and compliment each other very well! The roti is always cooked to order and always soft!! The portions for the price are amazing and most times i can't even finish it because it's so large!!! I have brought my friends and family some meals from here and everyone is always overly satisfied! I also love the taste of the boneless curry chicken!! If you haven't had Ann's yet you are truly missing out!!! read more

Doubles are pretty close to a POS experience. Get here after 12pm to get all the options. Chana was well seasoned. Pepper sauce was on point. Great balance of heat and taste. read more

Strolled into this roti shop after getting my nails done next door. Man have I been missing out. I'm a recent vegetarian but even if you aren't the food is beyond delish here. I had the sweet pumpkin, chickpea, seasoned calaloo in a chickpea roti. A huge plate that I could never finish, healthy and filling. Ask for extra pepper, if you like it spicy! All this for $8!!!! They offer this vegetarian option daily. My server was accommodating and very kind. read more

I ordered the boneless curry chicken roti... had it delivered by Uber-eats. After eating it for lunch I felt very nauseated and sick. I've read the reviews about the workers handling the food poorly but this was like my second time ordering from them and Ive had no problem. So I wanted to continue to take a chance. Needless to say I should've never continued to purchase food from them. I felt so ill it ruined my day, I ended up leaving work early. One time is too much so I will not be ordering from them again. read more

Best guyanese food in Mount Vernon. The food is authentic and they pay perfect attention to any requests made. The fried rice is exceptional and the goat, oxtail and shrimp curries are my fave. Don't sleep on this baby! read more

I got food poisoning after purchasing food from here. The man handling my food was coughing- I should have walked out right, now I'm paying the price by throwing up every few hours since eating their food. Never going back there! read more

Ordered again. Still tasty--this time I requested more sauce on the side which I didn't get, but felt like I needed. I hate dry chicken. Also they served the curry chicken in top of the rice. I should requested it in the side. I feel like I need to go over there in person and very carefully explain how I want my food dished out. (On the side is big for me) this time I found the roti a bit oily. But the food is very flavorful. Solid place. read more

Ordered from this place a while back with some co workers and we all got sick. I ordered curried shrimp and my co workers had roti. The shrimp had a bit a funny taste th I realized as I was eating I smelled bad. I was goingbto take it back to the store but it smelled so bad a had to throw it out the car. Disgusting we had food poisoning that whole weekend. read more

I was super excited when I found out there was a new roti spot close by but I was underwhelmed by the entire experience. I really hate to give bad reviews but the doubles were the size of pancakes and the channa and potato filling had this weird onion taste. I literally took one bite and had to throw it out. These are not your usual doubles. This needs to be mentioned because when you hear the word doubles you automatically imagine the delicious Trinidadian street food and that is not what is served here! Now on to the roti. The potato was the same onion tasting curry potato that was in the doubles, the chicken was very stringy and pink. I knew I shouldn't have eaten any of it but after dousing it with pepper I ate a few bites. Within 20 minutes of eating this food I felt extremely light headed, nausea and started throwing up. I had high hopes for this spot but unfortunately after getting sick I will not be visiting here again. read more

This is the best damn shrimp roti I have EVER had. Please do yourself the favor of trying their food. I work at the nearby health center and now Ive got my entire department hooked. Today I ordered their doubles, another shrimp roti and a dahl soup.Honestly everything is delicious! I AM IN HEAVEN right now chomping away. Prices are reasonable, shrimp in roti is large and not overcooked. Doubles have channa AND potato, the dahl soup is so flavorful, I nearly bit my tongue. I want to kiss the chef! read more

I was so excited to try the food. The food was completely rancid and rotten. I got horrible food poisoning from the bit I tried and had to throw out the rest. They would not issue a refund. Definitely avoid this place unless want to get sick. read more

I had the BEST chana and potato roti wrap here...with an order or pumpkin! OMG! Tastes like Trinidad! The roti not too big nor too stingy, it was perfectly done. They don't seem to use dal in their roti, which is fine with me because it makes the wrap messier and gives me gas. I have told EVERYONE about this place. We're going to the beach next weekend.
