This review is specifically for Dr. Mitchell Essig, GOAG (greatest of all gynos). This man should teach a required course for doctors on bedside manner. I would want him to be my grandpa if he weren't charged with the health of my hooha. New patients will need to take a beat to fill out forms as it doesn't necessarily transfer from the ZocDoc app. But the paperwork is minimal and not annoying. No wait time as I had to fill out forms and submit a urine sample. The bathroom is SMALL so leave your puffy coat and giant carryall in the waiting area. In the exam room, I was visited by a PA who recorded my vitals and health history. Then Dr. Essig came in and I shared my concerns. He actively (and without judgment) listened to my chronic neglect of my lady parts. He inquired about the health history of apropos family members before assessing my qualification for further cancer-risk testing. (He even referred me to an independent testing facility--completely unrelated to him or this practice--and gave me an estimate of pricing there should I want to pursue it.) He addressed fertility questions and explained testing options. His exam was thorough yet as least invasive as a gynecological exam can be. He gave me a referral for a mammogram and ensured his staff emailed me the info in a prompt fashion. The PA was present during the entire exam, but I would have felt completely at ease without her given Dr. Essig's disposition. I also believe that he coded my visit strategically so I would not be charged for extra services should I need to return for additional treatment. TL;DR: Dr. Essig is FANTASTIC and every woman deserves the quality of care he provides. He made an unpleasant chore effortless and not at all scary, so much so that I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I have never saw a positive result until I went to Dr Radjabi at FERNY

I arrived on time for my appointment, only to be left waiting to be let in by a nurse whom I later learned was named Jackie, who was visibly preoccupied--holding a Dunkin' Donuts coffee and texting on her phone. When she finally acknowledged me, her demeanor was rude and dismissive. She unapologetically mentioned that her train was late, as if that excused the delay in my care. When I asked how long it would be before I could see the doctor, since I also had professional obligations, she responded with sarcasm and muttered an incredibly offensive comment under her breath: "These dikes are going to just have to wait," followed by a chuckle. As someone who chose CCRM because of its reputation as an LGBTQ+ inclusive clinic, I was shocked and deeply hurt. No patient should ever be made to feel unwelcome or disrespected--especially in a space that promises compassionate and inclusive care. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge CCRM to reevaluate how their staff interact with patients, particularly those from marginalized communities.

"Patients don't care how much you know until they know how much you care" -…read more I highly recommend Dr. Weidenbaum. Not only is she an extremely knowledgeable provider with an extensive education from world class institutions, she REALLY shows you that she cares. My appointments with her represent the most human, genuine interaction I have had with a clinician in a long time. She is warm, takes her time to ask you questions and LISTENS To your responses, provides clear, everyday language to explain your conditions to you and the recommended course of care. She does not make unilateral medical decisions on your behalf, but rather engages in patient-centered care where she presents you, the patient with the options, each options associated risks and benefits, acknowledges your own individual preferences, and then asks YOU the patient which treatment option sounds best to you. If we had more doctors like Dr. Weidenbaum, our healthcare system would be a much better, more efficient and less stressful experience for us all. I hope NYU Langone has her training the next generation of providers. Dr. Weidenbaum provides flexibility of appointments- offering virtual visits for consultations and follow up visits to discuss results- and in person appointments when exams and testing are needed. I will also say, this was a "top-down" experience. Dr. Weidenbaum's CNA was very pleasant and professional - and also clearly very well trained. I am not the best patient when it comes to blood draws- not the best veins and vasovagal syndrome that results in fainting (and sometimes vomiting!) when I have my blood drawn. Many phlebotomists struggle with my labs. Dr. Weidenbaum's CNA was incredible. She got a vein and my blood collected in 10 seconds! No slapping my arm, no repositioning the tourniquet and consequently- no fainting! I wish I could go to her for the labs ordered by my other providers! Dr. Weidenbaum's administrative staff- Crystal and Jennifer are equally great. They are incredibly responsive, clear in their communication and easy to work with. I really wish the providers I see regularly at NYU Langone Health were more like Dr. Weidenbaum's team. The only reason I took off 1 star for office and staff- and I don't believe this is Dr. Weidenbaum's staff directly - is that I have unfortunately experienced a great headache of a billing issue subsequent to my visits with Dr. Weidenbaum. This is an issue with NYU Langone Health's Physician Billing Department, which I am confident Dr. Weidenbaum has no authority over. I have had similar issues when I visit other providers at NYU Langone Health. My insurance carrier has sent me EOBs (explanation of benefits) showing full payment for my visits, and. NYU Physician billing is sending me overdue notices saying my bills have not been paid. This is really not a reflection of Dr. Weidenbaum nor her team, but rather of NYU Physician billing department, which is not based in New York. Unfortunately, I do know from experience with NYU that there is always the potential for a billing issue when I go to an NYU provider. Hopefully they can resolve their issues as I would not want others to be deterred from seeing such a wonderful provider as a result of the hospital system's administrative issues.

I'm so happy I decided to go through with IVF here. Wish me luck .

I did a lot of research before deciding to reach out to NYCIVF. One of the many important aspects for me was not feeling like a number and to be able to have a more personalized experience with both the Dr. and members of the team. As soon as I called NYCIVF I felt like we would be taken care of. We were able to get an appointment within a short time frame, they looked into whether our insurance was accepted and were personable on the phone. Upon meeting Dr. Alyaa, I (for the first appt I went by myself as my husband was traveling) could tell she was a highly educated individual with confidence, faith and warmth. She wanted to get to know who we were and help us get to our end goal of having a baby. She right away put me at ease that I was not "old" (34) and that everything would work out fine. We also decided to start tests right away as there was no point in waiting. I really liked her go ahead attitude. In the end my husband and I underwent IVF and were successful on the 2 FET (no one's fault on the 1st, it just happens and is poor luck). Our pregnancy occurred about 6 months after the initial appt (very quick!!) Below are a number of reasons why I would choose NYCIVF for your fertility needs: 1) Dr. Alyaa is incredibly smart and wonderful at what she does. She keeps your spirits up during an emotional rollercoaster of a time 2) Dr. Alyaa does what is best for you and your partner and getting you to the end goal of pregnancy as quickly as possible. She will not have you go through IUI first unless she thinks there is a chance for success. 3) The team knows how to deal with insurance - this was one of our biggest complaints, our insurance company, like many can be a pain! They handled corresponding with them an insuring procedures and medicines were properly covered. 4) If you call, the team knows you on a first name basis you are by no means a number 5) The office is small and you will only see Dr. Alyaa. I never had to wait for my appt. I was always taken right away. 6) The office is really pretty and welcoming! Its location is in a nice area and the office and operating room are kept clean and sterile. 7) Dr. Alyaa responds to emails in RAPID speed, as does the rest of the team 8) Appts can be scheduled at your convenience. They are flexible to help those who are in demanding jobs and can only step away prior to work or during lunch time We will forever be thankful for Dr. Alyaa and the team. We still keep in touch and plan to as they become and amazing part of the pregnancy journey. I would recommend NYCIVF without a doubt to anyone who is struggling with fertility. It's a very emotional ride and you want someone you trust and this is 100% the place.

The clinic was warm and welcoming, and I Felt that all my questions were answered. The cost was very competitive and I felt secure in my reproductive future when I was able to freeze 12 eggs. However, this feeling of positivity changed when I decided to use the eggs 6 years later. By this time I had moved to Arizona, so the eggs were shipped to a new fertility clinic in the Phoenix area. Once that clinic received the eggs (and knowing my intent to fertilize them), they informed me that the eggs are all "granular" (all 12 of them) and that they therefore had lowered likelihood of yielding viable embryos. They said this as if I already knew it, because the embryologist at Extend Fertility had written "granular" in the notes section next to each egg. However, no one at Extend told ME this; it was just quietly written on my report. Had I known this at the time, I likely would have undergone a second egg retrieval. I contacted someone from Extend to voice my frustration about this; these eggs had been my insurance policy, so to speak, and now at 41 years old I was learning someone at Extend knew they looked like poor quality, wrote this on my report, but did not tell me. The doctor at Extend said that there is no evidence granular eggs is a significant factor to note; however, as my fertility doctor in Phoenix pointed out - if that is the case, why was it, in fact, noted? My fertility doctor in Phoenix said if he had a patient with granular eggs, he would let that patient know. I wish Extend had done that for me. Ultimately, I was left with the decision of if I did or did not want to spend thousands of dollars to fertilize eggs that had a lowered likelihood of success. My fertility clinic in Phoenix offered me an experimental procedure that was half the cost of fertilizing these questionable eggs, so I went that route, and my beautiful baby boy is beside me as I type this. So I don't type out of anger or animosity - thankfully, my story ended well. But I write this as a warning to to others that your experience at Extend might be great in the moment, but years from now when you want to actually use the eggs you froze, you might discover bad news.

I felt like my body was very balanced and my general health was improved by the time I started IVF and that was all thanks to them. Going there was also very relaxing - kind of like scheduled mediation. They also recommended herbs for my husband to take for a few months.

Where do I begin...?!?!!? Katie and Dr. Zheng are the best of the best. The staff is friendly,…read morehelpful and their goal is to make you comfortable. I'm totally giving them credit for my pregnancy. I'm a huge fan!!! After coming here for 3 months I became pregnant. My fertility Dr. wouldn't give acupuncture the credit, but I knew it made all the difference. My insurance didn't cover this but I wanted to give one last natural try before I did the fertility drug route, it was tough but I paid out of pocket. I know a lot of women do fertility drugs and acupuncture as well. I went once a week for three months, Katie and Dr. Zheng advised me to drink the Chinese herb tea that their office made, that was an additional fee, but worth it! I'm now 28 weeks and I still see Katie and Dr. Zheng weekly as I have a shortened cervix, so we are strengthening that. I'm still drinking the teas. My OBGYN freaked out that I was going to acupuncture and drinking the teas as they warned on acupuncture "inducing labor" if the acupuncturist didn't know what he or she was doing... Well thats simply NOT the case with Dr. Zheng and crew. They know exactly what they are doing, they are careful, gentle and experienced. I totally trust them! I hear plenty of women having success stories with acupuncture and pregnancy, so this is REAL people!!! Dr. Zheng and crew, in my opinion, have the best approach and years of experience. I leave acupuncture feeling calm and in this incredible zen state. I can feel the warm energy all over my body, its truly amazing. Now this doesn't happen right away, it took a month and a half or so before my body begin to accept the acupuncture, again totally my personal feeling, so I would recommend sticking with it a bit before deciding if its for you. You want to get balanced and get that body ready for a life see these amazing ladies!!!!! Thank you Dr. Zheng and associates!!!!!

If you have PCOS, endometriosis, etc., they will not try to get to the root issue and help you, they just want to push you to IVF. Outside of the questionable medical attention, my biggest gripe is with the admin. Nurses take forever to respond, procedures are not explained to you in advance, you do not have a direct line to finance, etc. I had to follow up nine times, including the day of a procedure for them to submit a pre-authorization. To make things worse, after I told them I was no longer seeing them, several weeks later RMA submitted a rogue pre-authorization to my insurance which caused a massive issue. I would seriously avoid this place at all costs. Reproductive health is stressful enough as it is. You don't need the extra layers of stress that RMA creates.

Service: Dr. Stein and his team were warm, professional, attentive, and easy to work with. The world of fertility is so complex, pretty terrifying, and sometimes incomprehensible but the staff at RMA always took the time to empathize and took the time to explain anything that seemed confusing. Huge shoutout to Tova Niderberg who was our IVF coordinator (unfortunately no longer at RMA) who helped us navigate through the intense processes of documentation, medical protocols, schedules for retrievals, and transfers. Another shoutout to Jo Anne Ndour of the Finance Team, who helped us with any financial situation. There were many times I was so emotional and anxious but Dr. Stein, Tova, Jo Anne and many others helped calm me down. RMA is a massive organization- so obviously sometimes you wait a long time to be seen, doctors can be in a rush, and sometimes a nurse would be curt and hurt you while prodding for a vein, but that happened rarely and overall our experience was very positive. Estimated total out-of-pocket cost (Male factor, AETNA Open Access Managed Choice POS 25/1000/NJ4) for 1 retrieval, 3 rounds of IVF/transfers, and all meds was around $9,166.46. - We qualified for AETNA's generous Infertility Care Program which covered more than half of the cost if you had a medical reason. - Egg/Embryo storage costs are NOT covered by insurance and are pretty steep but standard for NYC: $1000/year (the first year is included) Locations: RMA has many locations throughout New York and I haven't been to all of them besides the following: - Eastside @ 635 Madison Avenue: Retrievals and transfers happen here, large clean space and lovely staff. Unfortunately, your partner (or plus one) is not allowed during the actual retrieval/transfer procedures. - Westside @ 200 West 57th Street: Dr. Stein works out of this location. Also a large clean space and lovely staff. - Downtown @ 594 Broadway: Because I live in Brooklyn and work by Herald Square off the R/W line, I chose to swing by here for morning monitoring. I liked this location because it was so close to subway stations, and although the facility was on the smaller side was still clean and had friendly staff. (Out of the above Westside & Downtown had the nicest and most modern finishes, and obviously, the earlier you go for monitoring the fewer patients there are and faster you're in and out) - Brooklyn @ 26 Court Street: This was my least favorite location because the space is cramped and grungy with outdated finishes. It also didn't seem as clean as the other locations. It is close to many subway stations but it's impossible to find parking here. Other: - The more eggs you get from retrieval the better because the number of viable embryos you will end up with at the end after fertilization, freezing, grading, etc is around or lower than 1/5. For example, I had 35 eggs and ended up with 7 viable embryos. - The grading of your embryos can change upon thawing/freezing on the day of transfer Huge thanks to RMA for helping us bring our beautiful Sophia into this world, we are so grateful to have worked with you!!
