A++ experience with Ferny. I am a success story when it comes to their IVF treatment. What I like about ferny is their morning monitoring was at a reasonable hour, and it didn't feel like a factory in there. Instead it feels like small-town office attention with big-city modern technology, in a beautiful clean space. The location to Grand Central in midtown is perfect for anyone trying to hop in before, during, or after work. They also work with insurances to get a lot of things covered so you're not left to pay cash for every single monitoring appointment if your insurance can cover it. You'll be surprised what insurance can cover!! They're also a gynecology clinic as well, so it's nice to know they can take care of all aspects of womens health. If you have underlying issues that might be effecting your fertility requiring surgery, etc. they will be able to take care of it in the office. Every provider I have encountered there, between Dr. Radjabi, Dr. Sumkuti, Dr. Aluwalia, Dr. Harper, Eden Anonye.. and the nurses, Lauren, Kendall, the embryologist, the anesthesiologist.. to name a few, have all been extremely professional and caring. What a team. Very personalized attention. I recommend everyone come here for infertility screening, Intrauterine insemination (IUI), Surgeries like polypectomies, etc, egg freezing, and ofcourse, invitro fertilization if needed. Review for the Tribeca and 290 Madison Ave locations: I would not recommend Dr. Ahluwalia or her team at Ferny. Communication was very poor. The doctor was hard to reach and seemed too busy to explain things. Her staff ignored calls and emails and provided conflicting information. Even Memorial Sloan Kettering had difficulty obtaining clear records from Ferny related to my care, and I had to spend weeks tracking down details myself. To make matters worse, Dr. Ahluwalia's team sent me sensitive information via email that I never requested. Don't let the bad reviews scare you off -- I almost canceled my appointment after reading them, but I'm so glad I didn't. I booked a same-day appointment on Zocdoc (less than 5 hours in advance!) and honestly came in with low expectations. But my experience at Ferny totally changed my mind. The staff were kind and professional, especially Michelle -- she was so helpful, clear, and supportive throughout. Seriously, she deserves a raise. They were upfront about everything: what they needed from me, what they were considering, and what the next steps would be. Dr. Rosalie was incredibly patient and made me feel at ease as mentioned in many reviews. She took the time to listen and answered all of my questions -- and I came prepared with a long list. Everyone was generous with their advice and shared helpful tips based on my situation, and I'd recommend confirming everything with the doctor at the end just to be safe. Also, the wait time wasn't bad at all -- I waited about 20-30 minutes before seeing the doctor, which is pretty standard for most offices. I have seen an OBGYN regularly in New York City or Long Island, NY, for the past 40 years. Some have been very good, some have been less than. Dr. Hazoglou is hands down the BEST one I have seen. She listens! She is patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. My previous OBGYN had left the area earlier in the year and had not been able to help me with menopausal issues. It was time for my annual gyn appt and since my insurance changed, I could no longer go to my previous gyn doc. I got an appt with Doctor Shabani Ahluwalia and booked it a little less than 24 hrs before the slot I selected, which is definitely unheard of nowadays. My appt was at 12:30. Right as I checked in I went to the back for the first sample. Within 10 minutes I was seen by my doctor. She was so attentive, informative and helpful. I have PCOS and sometimes doctors will brush off some of my symptoms but Dr. Ahluwalia took in everything I said and provided me with facts and directions of what would be best for me. Also, I blood pressure was high when I was there and she checked me two more times before I left to ensure I was okay and steps on what to do if my blood pressure doesn't go down. The office is small but has 5 rooms for exams and plenty of staff. Overall I enjoyed my visit and would recommend this Office. read more

For the 290 Madison location: AVOID. I got tested early July and early August and never received my full results after stressing the importance of the missing result. I called, emailed, and even got retested just for the same thing to happen. I was never called or emailed back about why I never got them or when I could expect to receive them just a "we'll call and let you know" for two months straight. on top of that the general attitude that the receptionists had was dismissive. read more

This review is specifically for Dr. Mitchell Essig, GOAG (greatest of all gynos). This man should teach a required course for doctors on bedside manner. I would want him to be my grandpa if he weren't charged with the health of my hooha. New patients will need to take a beat to fill out forms as it doesn't necessarily transfer from the ZocDoc app. But the paperwork is minimal and not annoying. No wait time as I had to fill out forms and submit a urine sample. The bathroom is SMALL so leave your puffy coat and giant carryall in the waiting area. In the exam room, I was visited by a PA who recorded my vitals and health history. Then Dr. Essig came in and I shared my concerns. He actively (and without judgment) listened to my chronic neglect of my lady parts. He inquired about the health history of apropos family members before assessing my qualification for further cancer-risk testing. (He even referred me to an independent testing facility--completely unrelated to him or this practice--and gave me an estimate of pricing there should I want to pursue it.) He addressed fertility questions and explained testing options. His exam was thorough yet as least invasive as a gynecological exam can be. He gave me a referral for a mammogram and ensured his staff emailed me the info in a prompt fashion. The PA was present during the entire exam, but I would have felt completely at ease without her given Dr. Essig's disposition. I also believe that he coded my visit strategically so I would not be charged for extra services should I need to return for additional treatment. TL;DR: Dr. Essig is FANTASTIC and every woman deserves the quality of care he provides. He made an unpleasant chore effortless and not at all scary, so much so that I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

Booked my annual physical/exam appointment on ZocDoc, purely through geography/ good location to my apartment and it was an amazing experience. I am so glad I found FERNY and Dr. Rosalie. First of all, I didn't have to wait in the waiting room at all -- I filled out my form quickly, provided samples and immediately was taken to my exam room. Such friendly people in the front and back of house, especially my exam tech, and Dr. Rosalie was wonderful. I had a bad experience at Dr. Rosalie's office. I booked an IUD removal expecting to be treated by her, but another provider performed the procedure, barely introduced herself and yanked the IUD out without warning or any effort to minimize pain. It was excruciating--I felt like I was being ripped apart and left in tears. I later returned to voice my concerns. After waiting an hour, Dr. Rosalie implied my pain tolerance might be low (it isn't, actually quite the opposite as confirmed by previous doctors) and said their office works as a team, so you may not see the doctor you booked, which seems inapropriate to me. I suggested they improve communication before and during procedures, train staff to minimize pain, and inform patients if pain is expected so they can take medication beforehand. Dr. Rosalie eventually agreed and thanked me for my feedback. While the reception staff and nurse were kind, and Dr. Rosalie was ultimately receptive to my complaints, I will not be returning. No patient should leave a doctor's office feeling this way. read more

FERNY/chambers st. - gynecologist DO NOT GO THERE! I did my diligent job to make sure that they were in network-they were. But they sent my bloodwork to a lab that was out of network, which had I known, I would have declined it. They did not help me. Now I owe that out of network lab money and my insurance. A very stressful process. The next time I go somewhere else, i will ask where they'll send my labwork. Very disappointed. They only 'solution' they gave me was to pay it. read more

I wish I could leave a glowing review because Dr. Rosalie is absolutely fabulous - kind, professional, and truly great at what she does. I saw her for my annual exam over a year ago and was thrilled to have her listed as my doctor again this year. Unfortunately, when I went in earlier this month, I was seen by someone else instead. This might not have been a huge issue, but the experience since then has been frustrating. I was diagnosed with something concerning and had extensive bloodwork done. I was scheduled for a two week follow up call, which never happened. When I called the office, I was left on hold for 20 minutes only to be told that the provider was busy - despite my confirmed appointment which I took time off work for. Additionally, getting a simple birth control prescription took over a week due to repeated discrepancies on their end. To make matters worse, they billed the wrong insurance a year ago (my first appointment) resulting in me receiving several thousand dollars in inaccurate charged, which took over a month to resolve. I've tried to be patient and look past these mistakes, but the constant errors and lack of communication make it impossible to trust this office. It's truly disappointing because Dr. Rosalie, and the other medical staff are wonderful, but the incompetence of the administrative staff makes it difficult to continue coming here. I will now have to search for a new office in the midst of a health crisis - I do not recommend coming here. read more

I came across DR. Radjabi's profile on zoc doc after having a poor experience with a fertility doctor that was recommended to me. I was so lost and just feeling so down and out about my situation. My first appointment with doctor radjabi I knew that this is where god had sent me to get the proper care that I needed. Words cannot express how kind patient and wonderful Dr. radjabi is.. knowledgeable and kind and explains everything to you his bedside manner is what you need when going through such a hard situation like infertility. I then met his assistant Lauren who has literally been my rock through this whole journey. She is god sent. Lauren has gone way above and beyond what any medical professional has to go. From answering my emails promptly every single time to even replying while she is at home with her own family. She's always there ready to help and render emotional support as well. I spent a year and a few months at Ferny and because of the wonderful care I received at Ferny I am now a 41 year old pregnant woman. The office is cheerful always immaculately clean the staff is wonderful!!! The receptionist is wonderful. The nurses are wonderful! The wait time is non existent. I have been seeing Dr. Radjabi since 2019. I write this review pregnant, after 2 years of struggling with infertility. I am eternally grateful to the Ferny team. I first froze my eggs with Ferny and then years later when I wanted to start my family, I knew I had to come back to Ferny. I did both an IUI and IVF through Ferny. Through kindness and extreme patience, both Dr. Radjabi, Lauren and the entire team provided me support through a challenging fertility journey. Last year, after getting pregnant through IUI, Dr. Radjabi diagnosed me early with an ectopic pregnancy and made sure I got immediate care. He checked in on me regularly while I was in the hospital and made a commitment that he would help see me through a future healthy pregnancy. Nurse Lauren is a secret weapon - she is supportive, kind, and incredibly responsive. She walked me through my entire egg freezing process in 2019, and through IVF in 2023. She checked in on me almost daily. I wish I could I have Lauren by my side through my entire pregnancy. The nursing and support staff are diverse, supportive and thorough! I primarily used the Central Park location but liked the access to the new Tribeca office as well. This review was a LONG time coming. I first started seeing Dr. Radjabi related to infertility that my husband and I both were attributing to my husband's past medical history. Dr. Radjabi was extremely thorough with his assessment of both my history and my husband's history and we decided that IVF was the way to go over IUI. In fact my medical assessment was so thorough that I was given another diagnosis (that was non fertility related but was GYN related) that my old OBGYN could not diagnose and I had been suffering with for over two years. FERNY ordered a quick biopsy and within a week or two I finally had answers for this other unrelated issue. This is not a giant, fancy fertility clinic where no one knows who you are and you're just another number. I don't think I can put into words how attached I got to these providers. It was a long journey with lots of laughs and tears, a ton of anxiety about the unknown and everyone was there with open arms. The office is small and personable and the staff is extremely friendly and they get to know you very quickly. I have zero complaints about any of my time spent at this office and with this staff. As I believe another reviewer wrote, Lauren is GODSEND. She is one of the most kind, compassionate people I have ever met in or out of the medical field (I am also a nurse) and she is a nurse who was born to work in this field. She is so passionate about her work and her relationship with her patients- it's inspiring to see. When my second embryo transfer was successful the thought of having to eventually move my care to my own OBGYN and not the FERNY staff brought me and my husband, along with Lauren to tears and I didn't want to leave. I didn't trust anyone else with my fertility/reproductive care or my emotional well being regarding this new baby I was growing except for Ferny staff. Extremely delinquent. Radjabi neglected to give me life-changing genetic results for over 4 months after he received the report. After many months of waiting, I finally asked him to acknowledge his mistake. His response was "you have my full support." Was never able to admit his role in grossly delaying my ability to get pregnant. He omitted exam records that would prove he was delinquent. When I finally got my records and showed it to my new provider, he said something fishy was almost certainly going on over there and was concerned that he had never heard of Radjabi before. My biggest regret is sticking with this quack for as long as I did. I was a patient of Radjabi for 15 months with zero progress. New doctor's office is 10 times nicer, cleaner, much more professional... and I am finally receiving the care that every patient deserves. read more

The team at Ferny are the friendliest and most supporting staff I've ever experienced at a doctors office. After 2 years of infertility and years of unexplained menstrual problems, Dr. Radjabi explained what was most likely causing these problems at my first appointment. After conducting various testing, he ended up being right and recommended IVF. Lauren called me before starting IVF and explained all the medications to take and the process. She was also replied to emails quickly whenever I had a question. Lauren, Dr. Radjabi and the staff at Ferny are some of the sweetest most caring people I ever met. This facility just lost at least three 10+ year tenured staff members due to Dr. Reza Rabjabi's incompetence. I came to this doctor late last year for IVF treatment and in the 1.5 months of being under his care, he conducted a surgery, various tests (sonograms, pap, etc.), and started taking medication to prep for the IVF treatment. To my surprise I was dropped at a whims notice because as it turns out my insurance did not cover the treatment. It took almost 2 months for the facility to find out my insurance did not cover this treatment? Do yourself a favor and go to a professional practice that does their due diligence to make sure you have proper coverage because if they can't get the basics executed right you will end up spending thousands of dollars for nothing. Worst Part of this experience is the fact that he promised a cost-free IUI treatment to make up for their error and conveniently the nurse called me this week to let me know they do not conduct IUI treatment because they "don't have a technician" to assist with the procedure, which is a complete lie. Really you want to avoid this place. They did some of the most unethical things to an established fertility clinic with real doctors who are caring and have decades of experience. Don't be fooled by the website. You have many choices and this is not one you want to make. Look at the directors credentials. He is not who you want to see. Dr. Essig is OK but I have seen him his bedside manner is not to my liking. The unethical nature of how this business was founded would make them a no go. With all of the great clinics in NYC, avoid this one and to this place - SHAME ON YOU. BTW there is a reason there is only one 5 star review. That review was likely written by the clinic. The real reviews are all of the others. They are the stunned patients of the original clinic who know the truth about how this place was founded and the great doctors who they took advantage of. Dr Radjabi is truly GREAT! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a seasoned Gyno or Fertility Specialist. I have been going to him for ~3 years. His bedside manner is excellent, whether you are there for a medical issue or routine visit, i've had both, he takes the time to listen, explain and answer questions unlike many other doctors. I also recently went through Egg Retrieval/Freezing at FerNy. Dr Radjabi and Lauren, the IVF Nurse/ Coordinator were amazing through this process. This doctor took over the practice of my doctor, Dr Schmidt Sarosi. Every time I called I couldnt speak to her or her nurse. The new front desk people told me they didnt know when she would be back, wouldn't give me my blood test results. They also overcharged my insurance company for tests not done and sent me a bill with Dr Radjabi's name on it as my doctor. I called multiple times to get it corrected, now a month later it's still not done and I let my insurance company know they are fraudsters. I also called to get my medical records sent to me and I had to call three times before they sent me the form Don't bother with this practice, they are unreliable and unless you want to see their doctor, you are ignored. read more

do not go here! the medical assistants do not wear gloves while taking blood. i asked the medical assistant amy! to please use gloves while drawing my blood, and she shook her head no, then stated " its easier to get the vein without gloves." i had a scheduled polyp removal. i mafe sure to take off from work for this procedure, due to being put to sleep. the office decided to call me 24 hours before, to tell me my insurance does not cover the anesthesia. i would have to pay $500 up front. the medical assistants are all young, loud, and immature. they curse in front of patients while speaking about their personal life, keep you waiting 20 before answering the phones, the doctor does not sanitize his hands prior to touching the patient. he puts on gloves prior to touching you, and the touches his hsir, the ac controller, the air vents etc, and then proceeds to work. blood work always takes 2 weeks befofe results are in. the Nurse Practitioner forgot to call in my medication twice. just terrible service read more

Struggling with infertility has been so stressful, but the doctor took the time to find out what was going on and explain everything step by step. Dr Reza seemed to be friendly but rather fake, and was rushing through our appointments. He cancelled on me THREE times because the receptionist told me he had no appointments between his morning slot and my appt (5:30pm) so he wanted me to come in early. Since I couldnt and wanted to keep the appointment, they called me back the next day and said he was BUSY now and cannot make the appointment. How convenient!! He did this to me THREE times because it seems like he didnt want to wait around until the end of the day to see me when he can go do something else. That is not how you treat your patients . Pretty unbelievable. Also he gave me a prescription for generic levothyroxine, and I called to request for the brand name Synthroid because I felt better on it, and it was IMPOSSIBLE for me and my pharmacist to get through to him and get him to approve it. How is it that we cannot get an approval for such a small change? I left multiple messages for his nurse and she never called me back either. He is NOT responsive and his staff is also horrible. They are often dismissive and rude. Im not sure how come he had so many good reviews honestly. His office is ALWAYS empty. Pls do yourself a favor and find another doctor. read more

Dr. Reza, the FERNY facility / staff are fantastic and flexible when it comes to accommodating busy schedules. Dr. Reza speaks to you conversationally (no mansplaining here, folks), promoting an open forum for dialogue, encouraging as many questions you may have. I've never once felt rushed or that a follow-up element was ever missed. Appointments run like clockwork and I've never had an issue with timing. Dr. Reza ensures you are always in the driver's seat; he will provide you with an array of carefully explained and (sometimes even illustrated!) information allowing you to know all variables and options you have to work with in the decision making process. I've received hormonal consultation here, switched to this place for all my OBGYN needs and am currently learning more about fertility treatment. I've visited the office 4 times and I can say I am incredibly impressed with the facility, staff and service - on a consistent basis. read more
