Box-n-Go/My Moving Guys saved the day! Frank, the person I spoke to on the phone, was courteous,…read moreprofessional, and organized! Due to my situation, he had me booked and scheduled for two of his movers and their truck to help me move in less than 30 minutes. Paperwork signed and everything! There is a minimum of 4 hours to pay for. It sounded reasonable since my boyfriend and I were moving about 20 miles more west. The movers arrived on time and were both so friendly. A big shoutout to Sal and Henry for helping my boyfriend and I move so quickly, efficiently and for keeping our furniture safe. We were SO fortunate and SO grateful to have found Frank last minute. I definitely recommend them for any moving purposes! If you want to know about my situation, keep reading. After booking another moving company 3 weeks in advance, on the day of my scheduled moving day, the other movers canceled! I couldn't believe my ears when I heard this. However, my boyfriend and I had already scheduled this on our calendar, we knew we had to move nonetheless. After scouring and calling a few movers for "same day service" (and finding out they don't do same day service even though their website said so), I was SO lucky to have found Frank at Box-n-Go Storage and Moving. Let me tell you - after I called and called different moving companies, when I immediately spoke to Frank, I knew he was an honest man behind the phone who kept their promises. Thank you again to Frank's team for helping me move. I can't thank you enough!

LATE, unprofessional, RUDE- DO NOT BOOK!!!…read more Yes, I had to reschedule the day before, due to a last minute personal situation- I understand that was not ideal to the movers but Ana accommodated with no problem, great. 1) She confirmed via text msg several times that the start time is 7am. Movers showed up at 8am and told me they were told to come at 8am. Texted Ana and she blamed the long drive and morning traffic, obviously NOT owning her OWN mistake. 2) The movers are not very careful: a) I witnessed falling handle from a transparent container box while being transported on a hand cart, I know this happens and is normal, but the mover did not bother to pick it up. b) I saw ceiling fan/light got bumped to a side by the sofa when placed vertically to be moved. c) Usually professional movers use a big box to collect smaller items altogether, they did not. 3) Free wardrobe boxes were promised, only 3 were on the truck (I have x3 wall closets, one in each room, no walk-in closet)- only 1/5 of all clothes went in. Ana blamed me for not ordering more in advance (but she never asked or mentioned any details, while she knew I'm moving from a 3-bedroom house)- poor prepared. Given the multiple inconveniences, I inquired for a possible discount. This Ana woman got mad and rude IMMEDIATELY, saying no rescheduling fee was charged (which was never mentioned), accusing ME (?!) of MY (?!) "attitude" and THREATENING me with OFFLOADING the truck. I was appalled and replied "wow", then movers got notified right away and mentioned that I fought with their boss and started ignoring me while unloading from the truck when being talked to, not showing any sign/will to try to alleviate this situation. I quickly hired another company with the same rate the same day; whom showed up early, professional and respectful, communicated well and got the job done quickly and nicely (and had plenty of wardrobe boxes!!!). Definitely HUGE difference felt in moving industry!

I can't even describe the number of boxes, and furniture and plants and everything in between they had to move for us. But they did it all with a smile. They moved us to the new house and then went to one storage unit we had and emptied it and then moved it all to another one closer to our new home. They moved a ton of stuff into our garage. We literally could literally not move around. The guys are logistic geniuses and moved everything around to fit in the best space and opened up the garage so we could walk around to get into the boxes. It was quite amazing! I can not recommend A Friend and Truck more highly. We plan to move out of LA in two years and they will be our first call when we are ready to move!

I was particularly impressed with their handling of this very heavy table, especially since they had to maneuver it through a fairly narrow gate to my patio area.
