At that time, I was out of town. My 18-year-old and 16-year-old went in for teeth cleanings. They never called my husband or me to let us know that our insurance was outside of their network. They were supposed to call us and discuss everything before proceeding with the procedure. They told my 18-year-old that they had informed us about all procedures and payment options, but they never called us. Now, the front desk is telling me that my daughter is 18 years old and can sign any papers, even though they misled her by not informing us and having her sign the papers. My husband was out of work for nine months, and we were on Molina insurance. We had just set up our insurance and received calls to make appointments. For my dental treatment, they called me three times to schedule appointments. When I returned to the country and called to confirm, they told me we weren't covered with them, and I could not be seen. They could have done the same for my daughters. It was only a three-week difference between my girls' appointments and mine. How is it that they could see my daughters, but I couldn't be treated? They made a mistake. They didn't inform us that our insurance was out of network for Dental Designs. Now they want to send the bill to collections, even though we are not at fault. The front desk failed to make everything clear. PLEASE BEWARE OF THE SCAM DENTAL DESIGN IS PULLING. There must be many older people who don't even know they are being wrongly charged or given incorrect information. Having a 16-year-old sign payment papers is wrong. Telling false information to a 16- and 18-year-old is wrong.

Dr. Julie is amazing and the type of person who will do anything for her patients. Her practice is called Harmony Family Dentistry. It is on the east side of Vancouver near 162nd north of Fisher's Landing. It is super hi tech, super clean, and her support team is great. Here is her website. Her bedside manner immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel like you have her complete attention and concern for your well-being, but the most impressive thing is the depth of her dental expertise! She and her staff go the extra mile in making sure everything is properly taken care of before, during, and after the procedure. I have never felt such complete confidence in a dental professional until I started seeing Dr. Julie --and my teeth show it!

We called her usual dentist to see if we can make a emergency visit, but they were not able to see her and did not return any of my calls. Desperate, I called my dentist, and I was surprised that they provided a cell number for Dr. Jensen in case of emergencies. He picked up the call immediately, and after hearing the symptoms, said he could be at the office and to bring her in. How grateful we were, that Dr. Jensen was able to take care of my my mother, fixed her up, and made her feel welcome and relaxed. When no one else would see her, and she wasn't even a patient of his, Dr. Jensen went beyond to help. Including a follow-up call after hours! It's been a few years since our insurance billing issues, so I thought I should update my review…read more We haven't had any more issues with them billing our insurance since then. They have dropped some coverage with certain insurance companies, but luckily ours wasn't one of them. They have also had a lot of dental hygienist turnover the last couple of years, but they seem to have a full staff again currently. That's been tough for us because we had been spoiled with having the same hygienist for years and got to know them, which added extra comfort to an otherwise stressful experience. I've never enjoyed going to the dentist, but seeing a familiar face had helped ease my anxiety. We love the relaxing spa vibes in this office. It feels clean and comfortable, but not overly clinical like some dentist offices. They offer beverages in the waiting room, which also has a couch and fireplace, making for a cozy environment. We also appreciate that they can make a crown while you wait and watch a Netflix movie. It's nice not have to wait a week for a third party to make the crown and leave the dentist office with a temporary. The in-house crowns we're not something we've experienced before, so that's a huge plus! Overall this is an exceptional dentist office. They have a nice relaxing environment and have the capabilities of performing most dental services in-house. We would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this dentist office in good conscience and from my experience…read more I came here in the beginning of the year. Got a temporary crown for five weeks. That itself should've been a red flag. I assumed the dentist Emily Young had my best interest. I should've know at her lack of communication with me that she didn't. I told her I was aware of my gum disease and I know it's gotten worse. I expressed my concerns and let her know I wanted to get pregnant but was hesitant as I know my gum health affects the whole body. I was asked if I cared what my teeth looked like and I said no. I was then told that if I didn't care about cosmetic look that it should be "fine." As long as I kept up with my cleanings. I have deep pockets but they could clean them there. Unfortunately I was scheduled months out. Not a priority even though it progresses daily... I had gum detachment within two months of being seen here. While I was waiting for my scheduled cleaning. I was then told by another dentist how deep my pockets really are, referred to a specialist and told by specialist I could not get pregnant unless I wanted to put my life and child's at risk. To say I am hurt is an understatement. I've lost time, money and gained more dental trauma. In my opinion I say do not come here.

I can not recommend this dental office. I skipped a cleaning a year ago and when I was in the…read moremiddle of moving my home. When I returned for my next due cleaning, the hygienist told me she could only clean 1/4th of my teeth due to periodontal disease and that i would need another appointment to complete the cleaning. Feeling a bit embarrassed for missing my regular schedule, I agreed. She then spent 30 minutes capturing the depth of my gum pockets because her aide was not well trained and could not record the measurements on her own. The dentist came and looked at my teeth and said I had a cavity to be filled and would need to come back for that as well. Total time in office including dental exam and cleaning 1/4th of my teeth - 1 hour. I came back for the filling which was done very efficiently (hence reason for not giving this business a "1" ).The hygienist then spent 30 minutes cleaning the rest of my mouth. Total charge for the cleaning and 15 minute cavity = $770! I made an appointment for my next cleaning and confirmed that these would now be standard teeth cleaning. When I moved my appointment back a couple weeks I confirmed - standard cleaning. When I returned for my "standard cleaning", I confirmed with the hygienist that this was a standard cleaning . She replied that it was periodontal maintenance and that once I had "periodontal disease" I could no longer have preventative maintenance and would now need periodontal maintenance which cost $150 using the Cigna Savings Plan, while standard cleaning was $90. I told her that I had confirmed that this would be a standard cleaning and that I was prepared to pay the $90 but felt I had been ripped off on the last 2 visits and would go elsewhere if they would not agree. She said that was my choice and I left without the service. I never questioned the additional appt but feel like I was totally taken for a ride paying $770 for 15 minutes of the dentists time and 105 minutes of the hygienist. This reminds me of when so many dentists were pushing the teeth grinding mouth guards. Now the periodontal disease is the latest over charging practice that is way out of line for the minimal increase in time that they spend. By the way, in my lifetime I have had gum gaps of mostly 2-3 with a couple of 4's. This hygienist recorded 4-5 all around my mouth and reported bleeding everywhere ( I have zero blood when I brush and floss). The dentist did a great job, but it seems their practice depends upon over charging for the basics.

DA Christina, I believe is her name, is very knowledgeable, sweet, and to the point. However, the insurance verification staff could use a lot of improvement. My husband and I have ALWAYS been under the periodontal maintenance plan which is a deep cleaning every 4 months instead of every 6 months. We were on a dental plan in 2023 that had no waiting period for these deep cleaning at only $125 per visit. But the insurance staff told me this plan was terrible and that I should upgrade it because it was too hard to bill the ala carte delta dental clear plan on their end. So I switched the plan in 2024 per their instructions. Well, now there is a 12 month waiting period and my husband and I are not covered for exact treatment plan that they gave us for deep cleanings every 4 months. We need to pay $200 out of pocket for the treatment plan that we were given. And now we are paying a high monthly dental premium for no reason because what we need isn't even covered. We should have stuck with our original clear delta dental plan. Do your due diligence and call and check your insurance on your own before going here. Or go somewhere else where you aren't given conflicting information about changing delta plants/etc.
