I HIGHLU RECOMMEND PARKROSE DENTAL!!!!! No joke at all today was the happiest day I have had! As…read morepart of a 6 trip visit to fix all my teeth, 2 teeth at a time, today I had 2 of my front teeth fixed (all cavities, all black embarrassing spots removed). Look at my pic. The 2 teeth look like brand new and Dr Tieu did it all by hand! The 2 teeth look brand new (who needs veneers)! I have been to 6 different dentists where all they did was continuously pull all my teeth out and never get started with working on my teeth but Dr Tieu the first time he immediately had a plan in place, fix 2 teeth at a time to where they look brand new! I have been waiting for a dentist who would do this for me Forever but other places would stall or would pull out my teeth! I have both mental and physical disabilities and anxiety with panic attacks is horrible for me but during the entire process I felt no pain and Dr Tieu continuously checked in on me to make sure I was comfortable! Even the shot was painless with their numbing agent they put on PLUS Dr Tieu DOES NOT RUSH HIS WORK! He takes his time and never rushes he has a great bedside manner and is extremely pleasant! I really recommend Parkrose Dental! I go there all the way from Happy valley and excited to get my next 2 teeth done! Will update pics during my entire experience! Seriously happy I can get 2 steps closer each time to be able to smile again! TRUST ME DR TIEU IS REALLY GREAT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PARKROSE DENTAL GIVE DR TIEU A CHANCE TO FIX YOUR TEETH THE WAY YOU NEED THEM DONE! Thank you Dr Tieu I almost cried when I saw the difference of the work you did! Showed all my family and friends and they love my new look so far! So excited to go to my next appointment!

It's so hard finding quick dental care in Portland and was surprised when I called to make an apt…read morethey had openings right away. I went in and the first apt was X-rays and other general teeth questions (new patient).; I figured cleaning apt would be weeks out, but they got me in literally that next Monday. I do wish they would've just done it all in one go, but the teeth cleaning was less than 40 minutes. They were very good and wasn't too painful like other dental offices. I was able to get my husband in and he's had more work done and they have been great about it too. Highly recommend. Also side note, they close the office from 1-2pm for their lunches. Very nice office, clean and the receptionists are friendly and helpful.

Now that I have visited the office several times, I feel like I can provide an informed review…read more I've had an initial screening with x-rays, a cleaning with root planing and scaling (if you just shivered a little, that was the correct reaction), filled a cavity and replaced an old filling, and got fitted for a night guard. I am not a great patient; I have anxiety about visiting the dentist. It isn't irrational - I got this way after a lifetime of experiences that don't need to be recounted here. Just wanted to say I'm not crazy, I'm just a little broken. Because of this, I don't go to the dentist very often. I take really good care of my teeth and gums and hope for the best. I knew that I had a filling that needed to be replaced, though, so I've been on the lookout for a provider. I had one, but they kept saying I had a phobia and I know this might be a small thing, and maybe for me it was simply an excuse to not go, but I don't have a phobia. I have anxiety. There's a huge difference. Anyway. The office is on Sandy, in a beautiful blue house with big windows and a sign that says, "new patients welcome". I drive by it all the time, so I had many chances to be reminded and think about it. It took a year or two, but I finally called and made an appointment. They fit me right in for an intake. Great covid precautions in place, not too many patients in there at one time. It's a small practice, so you're going to see the same handful of people every time. For me, that is essential. Trust - it's a real thing and its hard to build when the office has a huge staff. The first appointment was fine, I knew there would be some poking but no heavy machinery. Every time the doctor said my gum gap was more than a 3 I died a little on the inside because I knew it meant some intervention was coming my way. Sure enough - gotta get those gum pockets cleaned out, fill a cavity, replace that filling (the one I could see was deteriorating and I don't know - I hoped would magically get better while I slept?), and get a night guard before I ground my teeth down to smooth stones. Everyone was so nice, explained things in detail, and made sure I understood the plan. I left dreading the next appointment, honestly, but at least I felt like I could make it through. The two appointments for the root planing and scaling also went very well. I'm a red head and studies have shown that we are extra in many ways, the pertinent one being that we need more anesthetic when getting procedures. I had several shots, which in themselves were unpleasant. The cleaning, though, once I was numb, wasn't too bad. I really enjoyed the conversation (my half of it was mumbled) and the time went by fast. Today I had the cavity filled and the other filling replaced and I was a MESS. Just a mess. Shaking, crying, having a really hard time keeping it together. And it was all me, there was nothing happening to make me upset or uncomfortable except for the wild ride going on inside my mind. I hate being this way, and I'm working on it. But it's hard. Dr. Agee and the assistants, and the receptionist, and even the dog know that I'm struggling and they make it as easy as they can. They wait, and they give me space and tissues, and a towel to squeeze. They tell me I can stop them any time I need to, and I did. Then, when it was time to get back in there, Dr. Agee fired up that drill and took care of it like he was working on a formula car in a race pit. The part I really had a hard time with went by in a blink, and I am so grateful for that. The nightguard fitting was so easy to do it doesn't even need to be talked about. Let me wrap up this long review by saying that they are stuck with me now. I know them, I trust them, I will come back (regularly, not just every couple of years). If you're nervous and would like to talk to me about this, send me a message and I'll be happy to describe my experience. If that helps, I'm here for you. I think this practice would be good for just about everyone, the nervous and the not nervous. These are good people providing important service in a gracious way. I'm so glad to have found them.

Where do I start?…read more When I called to schedule my initial appointment, Colette rushed me so much, it made my anxiety spike. I had to ask her to repeat herself multiple times because she was speaking so rapidly. At my first visit, everyone was kind and friendly. Dr. Hart was warm and down-to-earth. Once we delved into my oral health, I asked if she reviewed my previous records (which I had to request myself). "Yeah," dismissively. She then went into how she doesn't review previous records unless the patient has dental implants or something requiring maintenance, because she "meets you where you are." I've never experienced this at any dental/medical office before. After mentioning I had been to a specialist who recommended an extensive course of treatment, she jumped in and said, "Well, I can do that!" I was skeptical, as she isn't a specialist, but agreed since it was supposedly going to cost much less than the specialist's quote. Next, she started upselling me on a $100 "saliva analysis"...a cash-grab that turns out, won't in any way change your treatment plan. Mid-visit, I was basically held hostage in the exam room chair until signing the financial forms. They were all smiles while handing me the pen. During the next visit, when I asked how long my face would be numb, Dr. Hart replied, "EVERYONE asks that..." She then proceeded to say, "About three hours." My face was numb for six hours. At my third visit, I was injected by the dental assistant, on the wrong side of my mouth (oopsie!). Next, Dr. Hart was about to start working on the wrong side of my mouth. After I pointed out that I was numbed on the wrong side, and that Dr. Hart already worked on that said, neither the assistant, nor Dr. Hart apologized or took any accountability. Dr. Hart blamed the formatting on her screen, stating it displays the patient's mouth in reverse (and this isn't worth correcting?). I left with my entire mouth numb for six hours. At my final appointment, I had an equally abysmal experience. I was told by the receptionist that my visit would be 100% covered by insurance. Lo and behold, the hygienist, Aliesha, said I needed another multi-appointment scaling/deep cleaning which, you guessed it, isn't covered by insurance. When I replied I just wanted a basic cleaning, Aliesha left me in the exam chair for 20+ minutes. Upon return, she appeared frazzled, looked at her watch, and told me she could do "debridement." She rushed through the cleaning and scraped so hard I had to ask her to stop twice. My eyes were tearing. At the end, she told me she wouldn't polish my teeth for lack of time. A month later, I received an Explanation of Benefits from my insurance reflecting charges in the amount of several hundred dollars. I reached out to Russell Modern Dentistry via email for an explanation. No response. I sent follow-up email a week later. No response. It's now been 16 days and still no response. I've never been concerned my dental office would do more harm than good. Save yourself the heartache and go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

While I wouldn't recommend letting yourself get cavities, if you do end up needing to have some fillings done, they play great music while they're working on you, so that's a bonus. I also have a super low pain tolerance so I usually need extra numbing before I'm good to go, and Dr. Hunter was really cool about stopping to adjust when needed - that being said, the numbing needle is no joke, so don't slack on flossing! Overall a great experience, and I really appreciate everyone there.

Years ago I was informed that pretty much every one of my teeth had cavities in them and needed fillings, what never sat well with me at the time bc only a couple years prior I had only a couple of cavities that were filled. I never understood how I acquired an entire mouth of cavities in 3 years. I figured obviously this had to be true bc it would be illegal not to mention completely horrific to do to a patient otherwise no? I'm still having issues with my fillings and will always regret not getting a second opinion, taking them at their word and the possibility that they actually messed my teeth up for life for a profit.
