A good alternative to the chain pizza shops. They are a bit stingy on the cheese so if you like a stringy experience add double cheese.

There is no where in St Clair shores area to find a deli. Thank goodness was for Uncle Harry's! It…read moreis the real deal. Kim was our server and she was over the top great! They have Dr Browns soft drinks and all the flavors! The matzoball soup is amazing def 9 out of 10. The sandwiches are top notch. The meat is super fresh and the rye bread is fresh and perfect. And you can get them to grill whatever you order right in front of you. To top it all of the atmosphere is an experience. Like walking into a NY deli in the 70s. I highly recommend to anyone in the area. And worth the trip if you are not from the area.

The inside has an old-school diner vibe, which could be charming, but the overall experience didn't quite match. Staff interaction was neutral--not unfriendly, but not particularly welcoming either. My husband ordered the Lynne sandwich and I had the Adele, along with a bowl of matzo ball soup. The soup was definitely the highlight--flavorful and comforting--but at nearly $9 for a bowl, it felt overpriced for what you get. Unfortunately, the sandwiches didn't live up to expectations. The meat was piled in the center of the bread, leaving the ends with little to nothing in each bite, which made them feel poorly constructed and just overall mediocre. We were also surprised by the number of upcharges--extra for toasting the bread, extra for grilling, and even a 3% fee for using a credit card. It all adds up quickly. For two sandwiches and a shared soup, our total came to just over $40, which felt steep given the quality. It's disappointing because we wanted to like this place, but the high prices just didn't align with the food or experience. Unfortunately, we'll likely be crossing Uncle Harry's off our list.

We were greeted and seated right away. We weren't sure if there was going to be a wait since it was 6 PM on a Sunday. I got the salmon dinner. Initially, I was a little surprised by the price (over $30) since it was a sports type establishment. However, it came with two pieces of salmon and a good amount of sides. It was enough for two meals. Also got a kid pizza which I did not taste, but it looked good. Decent taper selection. The restaurant has an open feel with fun decorations and is clean. We'll definitely be back, hoping they stay soon with the good service and high-quality food.

The jalapeño queso tasted like jar queso from Meijer with two sad sliced jalapeños on top. It was cold and the chips straight from Gordon foods were very stale. We told our waiter and asked for hot queso and fresh chips and got back the same dish....Waiter said he'd come back to check if it was better and never did. Probably because he knew we'd say it still was gross. DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THAT. Our friends got the spinach queso , which was laughable. The same nasty queso we had with some spinach thrown in and same stale chips. For my meal I got the salmon club. What a waste of $20. It came as a triple decker, the top layer had the smallest piece of salmon and my other half didn't have any salmon on top. Suppose to have avocado on it, which it was minimum. And the "crab mayo" was not crab mayo , literally just plain mayo. I took it apart and ate the over cooked salmon instead. My husband got a burger which was dry and over cooked, I've never seen him not finish a burger in my life. On top of it all they "had" to put on 20% gratuity because we had 6 people in our party, ridiculous. Service was so slow for a Tuesday, when it was so dead inside. I can honestly say I'll never go here again or recommend this restaurant. Way better places to eat in SCS.

I have tried the roasted tomato basil soup and 4 of the grilled cheeses; the caprese, deluxe, French onion, and jalapeño popper. I used the soup as a dip. The mozzarella on the caprese wasn't melted much, but the sandwich still packed plenty of flavor. The French onion was a decent sandwich, but I didn't get "French onion" vibes from it. If bacon jam entices you, you will like the French onion. The deluxe features muenster, gruyère, and goat cheese. The blend of the 3 cheeses and the spicy mayo made this grilled cheese the most unique of the 4. Lastly, the jalapeño popper was my favorite. There were just the right amount of jalapeños, and having cheese melted in both the middle and on top of the sandwich was nice a touch. This one is simple. If you enjoy grilled cheese, this will be worthwhile. If not, then it's not for you.

I was a bit annoyed by the people standing in front of the counter as if that was going to get them called faster. I had to go down the aisle to talk to the lady when my number was called because some dude wouldn't budge. (Not the fault of the business of course). The staff was so nice and gave me suggestions on what to try. The service was excellent. For sandwiches, we tried the Italian and prosciutto. The meats were really good. Unfortunately, the oil and herbs wasn't on my husband's sub, and I think they accidentally put mild peppers instead of hot. 3/5 I learned you come here for the baked goods!!!! I tried the tiramisu, cannoli, and got an old fashioned donut for my hubs. I had a harm time choosing what delectable sweet to take home. The tiramisu was stellar. 5/5 I wish the front had a little less wine and a seating area to have a donut and coffee. It's not that kind of place to sit down and have an espresso, but still a very cool spot. They have an online order option which I'll try next time.

I'm not sure if these are Celiac friendly BUT they have amazing Gluten Free Chicken Tenders. They were crispy and moist, definitely seem house made. I am also in love with their potato salad. Also, GREAT RANCH. (It's the runny kind and definitely made in house) Additionally, someone in my party got the Matzo Ball Soup and said it was very delicious. Same with the Maurice Salad. It has a cute, classic diner feel--nothing recently updated, but it was clean and comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. We brought our three young kids and ordered them each a kids meal: chicken tenders with fries, spaghetti, and a cheeseburger with fries. The portions were generous and we even had leftovers, but at $10 per kids meal, the pricing felt pretty steep. We started with the bread basket and pickles, which were both good. My husband ordered the Monterey Jack chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. He first tried the chicken noodle soup but thought it had a sour aftertaste, so he switched to the beef barley, which unfortunately wasn't much better. His chicken entrée had good flavor, but it was just one thin, butterflied chicken breast. I ordered the New Yorker with fries, which I enjoyed--it was solid and satisfying. When the bill came to around $80, it just didn't feel justified for a deli/diner-style meal. Overall, the food was okay, but the pricing felt high for what you get--especially for a family outing. I might stop in again solo for a sandwich, but we likely won't be bringing the whole family back, mainly due to the cost of the kids meals.
