Were told no at first and then she had a change of heart and offered us a table outside we could have if we could be finished by her 9:00 reservation. We took it. I ordered the burger and it was excellent. My wife ordered some small round snacks and loved them. Can't remember what she ordered for her entree. Overall very good, and the waiter was very friendly and helped us w the language differences. It being Paris the employees take their smoke breaks in front of the resturant on the street in plain view of all the patrons very normal for Paris but a bit different from America. This place was our best find while in Paris! It's very small only about 12 tables so I would highly recommend a reservation. I would sit inside as they have some pretty interesting decor to look at! The food was amazing!! It's tapas style food - the price was a bit on the higher side for the portion size but definitely worth it! Try the corn and the empanadas - and the croquettes... try anything that sounds appealing to you because we literally didn't have anything we didn't love. Immediately, you notice the funky, cozy atmosphere decked out in various toys, stuffed animals and picture frames. The menu was versatile and everything looked amazing. A rare 5 stars from me, to Ferdi. This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Paris. Quaint, small and understated, this intimate eatery is covered wall-to-wall in vintage toys and figurines. You don't come to Paris, France for a cheeseburger but you do come to Ferdi for theirs. The best cheeseburger in Paris and perhaps the best of all time. It is served on the rare side with grilled onions, French cheddar, pickles and a "special sauce". This is definitely not your typical fry sauce. It is Dijon mustard based and pure...je ne sais qua...MAGIC! I've been here 3 times now and never diverted from the cheeseburger. Not only am I am fan, but so is Kayne and Kim. This place is authentic and will reiterate, understated. The best dirty martini I've ever had and to top it off...fresh churros in french chocolate for dessert. Glad I came here. So to get a table here you have to text the restaurant an see if there is availability. At first I was told that the restaurant was booked for PFW, however soon I got a second text asking the party number and time. Ferdi was able to accommodate my date and I for a 8PM dinner reservation. The restaurant itself is very low key, covered behind velvet drapes off a street very close to place Vendome. Once inside we were seated right away. Inside the restaurant is very cozy with vintage arrangements throughout the restaurant. We ordered their famous cheeseburger with a side of fries, and it was AMAZING. The burger literally melted in my mouth and their sauces are very good as well. One of the best dining experiences I've had in Paris. I have heard the burger sells out due to it's popularity but we were able to enjoy this amazing dish. Very nice part of town located at The 1st Arrondissement, if you happen to be staying at he Westin it's just around he corner, walking distance 3 min Make sure you have a verified Reservation. Even if your hotel makes it for you. I didn't realize that the Armenian massacre of the USA (I.e, the Kardashians) were enamored with this place and graced it with their stench. Let's quickly list what's wrong with this place: 1). Service sucks: had to grab my own menus 2). Good: sucks. Patatas Bravas were like American potato salad. Tomato bread was Like pasta sauce on white bread. Ok, I'll admit guys...the only reason I even heard about Ferdi was from Kim Kardashian (shameless, I know)!  She famously swore that Ferdi was her ALL TIME favorite restaurant in Paris because of their AHMAZING claim-to-fame burger.  And the ONLY reason I even daunted to visit the spot was because it is located on the street right behind our hotel and a mere 3-minute walk away.   Le hubs and I arrived approximately 30 minutes before closing and were seated right away on a Friday night.  However, the first thing the server announced is that they were OUT of burgers for the night!!! Sacré bleu!! Say it ain't so!!!  Ah bummer.  So we reluctantly ordered grilled shrimp with chips, chorizo platter, mac and cheese, and churros (since everyone else ordered that for dessert) and I must say... dinner was a catastrophe to say the least.  So much in fact that I barely touched all of the above, left hangry and continued fuming all the way back to the hotel.  Would I even deign to return on our next Paris trip for that famous burger?  Eh, OVER IT!!!! read more

I came because the burger here had so much hype, but I quickly learned that it typically sells out partway through the night (unfortunate). The location is superb near the Westin. Food was great, it does take a while for service and space is very small! We did not have reservations and were able to be seated within 20 minutes. Others were turned away so not sure of their reservation process. Recommend going early. Lots of history on the walls and great memories. We had the hamburger! Yes, in Paris. And, it hit the spot. Ferdi's was an intimate, cool, effortless experience. My husband and I each ordered the Mac Ferdi's Cheeseburger (added bacon) and it was absolutely delicious. The signature sauce oozed out of the burger and complimented the cheese, meat, and bacon perfectly. However, the most monumental moment from dinner was the specialty chicken soup that came served with half a hass avocado. Hands down best soup we've ever had in our lives. Best meal I had in paris the 4 days I was there. It was seasoned well, tasty and delicious. Our server was friendly and efficient. The dessert is a must. I sampled the churros and the honey waffle with cream and something similar to nutella but better, when you put it all together tasted like the best s'more I have ever had in my life. So craving one now. The appetizers and desserts are small -more of a tapas style. You must make reservations, they had to turn people away from the door. Yes! If you go to Paris, you must go to Ferdi. I'll tell you why....... the food is delicious, the staff are non pretentious and down to Earth, they give you more than two ice cubes ( most places gave me two and side eyed me when I asked for more. What can I say, I'm American), and they have two fans that they run to combat the sweltering heat ( Thank you Ferdi!!!). These are one of these places where you can dress up but you can be just as comfortable in a chic pair of jeans, sneakers, and a nice t-shirt. They are well known for being the best burger in Paris so keep that in mind when you plan your attire. I just want to say that while their burgers are great, I had a regular burger and my sister had a cheeseburger, they are not the best hamburger I have had in my life. So many patrons state it's the best and I wonder if they got swept into the hype or if they haven't eaten many burgers. Don't get me wrong, this burger is absolutely delicious. It's just not the best. It is juicy, flavorful, and a great practical size unlike our big burgers in America. They are served with pickles, grilled onion, raw onion, and a "Big Mac-esque" sauce on top. On the side are ketchup and mayo. You can get fries with it, which are separetely priced. They have a first service and a second service. It is important to make reservations as they are usually booked. I just texted them and it wasn't a problem. Just know that we came at eight and shortly after we were sat the tabe behind us, which was a party of 6, were sat. They all ordered the burger and they ran out after that. Second service starts at 9 and they had run out of the burger. My sister and I also shared the macaroni and cheese and the shrimp tempura. That macaroni and cheese was so good! The shrimp tempura was great! Juicy shrimp in panko bread crumbs that came out perfectly hot! They have drinks, wine and dessert as well but we kept it simple and enjoyed a great dinner. Very busy on a Tuesday night, get there early if you don't have reservations. Overall the food was good but slightly overpriced for the portion size that you get. We had the meatballs, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, and the cheeseburger with bacon. My second time here because the 1st time they ran out of burgers. This time we got the spring rolls 3.8/5, the arrepas 4 out of 5 to start. Then we got the mac and cheese and the burger (with bacon) which were 5/5 on both - amazing and worth it. It is a bit tight within the restaurant but overall great service and also great drinks. I generally don't like messy burgers and I thought this would be since they can't put the sauce on the side but it was still one of the best burgers I've ever had. I loved everything about this place. From the small and cozy setting to the decorations and the staff. Our waiter was great and quick. The margaritas were perfect and strong ;). The Mac and Cheese of course was to die for. I also had the Shrimp Nachos which I really liked. As a realty tv show junkie and a first timer to Paris it was only right to dine at Ferdi since it's Kim Kardashian's favorite restaurant which she mentioned in one of her episodes. We checked out the restaurant during the day after some free time from our tour & thank goodness we did b/c it was closed for renovations but was re-opening the next day. So we made reservations for Thursday night at 7:30pm. We were extremely lucky to have made reservations since it was booked for the next couple of days. My experience was LOVE at first bite!! I dined with 2 other girl friends and we picked at each others food. For appetizer we had the guacamole and chips and chorizo croquettes. I'm not a fan of guacamole but I'll eat theirs any day. It had a kick of spice to it that was so yummy. The chorizo croquettes were the BEST croquettes I've ever eaten PERIOD! For entree I had the spiced beef lettuce wraps. The beef was perfectly spiced, it came with black beans, corn fritters and sweet plantains. I was in fat girl heaven!! We had to try dessert since everything else was so yummy and we had our server Oliver pick it out. He brought out churros with a side of chocolate hazelnut and sugar. WOW! Even better than back at home with the famous churros from La Palma on 8 street. Now don't get he started with Oliver. He was FABULOUS, WITTY, KIND, ATTENTIVE and everything more you would want for a server. If and when I return to Paris. Ferdi will surely be one of my too priorities to re-dine at!! read more

I had a weekend in Paris and picked several spots I wanted to dine in a short period of time. We had accommodated our schedule so that we could try their famous cheeseburger at 4:30, in between lunch and dinner. I had tried to make a reservation through the concierge at our hotel and they had confirmed that they only except reservations via text message. I sent a text message and they responded "hello only saturday for lunch ! from 1:15 until 4:30 last order. it's without reservation from 1:15 to 4:30. Walk in only !hope to see you soon. Ferdi". So, we finish lunch on the other side of the city and literally walked 2 miles to get to Ferdi before 4:30. We walked in at 4:05 PM, and it took about two minutes until anybody acknowledged we were standing by the door. I asked for a table for two, and the guy inside the bar yelled "fermé, fermé!" I explained to him that I had sent a text message that morning and I was told that walk-ins were welcomed until 4:30 PM and it was 4:06! He did not believe me and asked that I show him the message. Which I did and when he read it he said "our mistake, the restaurant is closed." I've begged him for a table and told him that we only wanted to share a cheeseburger and that we would be out of the restaurant very quickly. One minute before as all this was happening I saw another table walk in and their orders being taken. This is a pure example of racism, and discrimination against Americans. I would never ever, walk into this establishment again or recommend it to anybody.... and all this frustration for a cheeseburger? Not worth it! read more

So I placed my order in with a glass of wine that I could quickly chug. The food was great. I made friends with the Saudi women next to me. The best food i had while in Paris- My family and I spent 10 days in Paris in the last week of June 2014 and was very lucky and fortunate to get a table at Ferdi. I have heard so much about this restaurant and wanted to see what all the fuss was about and i was pleasantly surprised that it lived-up to the hype. we were a group of eight and we each had a different dish and was able sample on each others food. no one in the group had a bad dish, the wait staff was also amazing and had a great sense of humor. If you are in a rush, this restaurant is not for you as one of their motto " Good food is worth the wait".
