Where can you take your car for repair where you can trust the mechanics?…read more Gustavo's G.F. auto repair always gives me the no-nonsense, honest no-b.s. explanation, no scare tactics often employed by other shops. He'll tell you what's wrong or what's not wrong, and what repair is needed (right away or whether you can wait for a while if you need to stretch it). And if repairs need to be done, he always gives you great quote on the price, way below the price quoted by others. Case in point -- just took my car to Mr. Tire's, and was told that the front & rear struts need to be fixed, front low control arms are "broken" and the tires are so bad the could fall off! (seriously?) Mr. Tire's quoted me $1246. I knew it shouldn't be that bad and brought it to G.F. for a second opinion. 30 minutes later he called me -- yes, struts needed to be replaced, ftont arm control arms have a leak but it's not bad so I can fix it now or later, and tires are absolutely fine. Total is $540. Case closed, car went to G.F.. The 5-star is perhaps somewhere around 4.5 just because the wait was sometimes long (but as much as I could, I planned ahead and dropped off the car for pick up later). But the key reason for the 5 star is the TRUST -- a rare commodity especially in this business.

Those type of photos never exist in real reviews. I gave the dealership 4 stars to be fair since I am reviewing the validity of the reviews rather than the results of a purchase. Cavaet Emptor.

I took it back to the seller to fix since they claimed they would fix the issues, but they didn't fix anything and I didn't notice until it was too late to return (my mechanic was busy and couldn't check again until weeks after). It broke down very often and after 4 months I parked it in my backyard and it's sadly been sitting there ever since. I now have paranoia that the car I have now will break down at any given moment since the eclipse broke down what felt like every 5 seconds. Bought a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT from Park Ave auto lot (same owners I believe, shamrock motors is their auto repair shop) Nov 2024. I saw one out on the road one day and fell in love so I found and bought the one park ave was selling. It was my first time buying a car so I was a bit underprepared/under-researched while checking out the car. Right off the bat the fuel tank barely had anything in it when I drove away in it so I had to fill it up myself- fine I can live with that. Brought the car to a mechanic to check it out the next day and found important structural parts of the car were poorly welded together during a repair, and the distributor was bad, among many other problems. Called the lemon law unit of the park aves county and found the lot allegedly has multiple active/pending cases against them. Brought the car back since they claimed they would fix the issues only to find after looking at the car again NOTHING was replaced or repaired!! Now, a little over a year later and I still have a beautiful V6 eclipse rotting in a backyard since I haven't had the money to repair it myself. (It FULLY broke down a month after I bought it. Fixed it myself then it broke down off and on again for 3 months. Got a different car since I was tired after the last break down in March 2025.) **My advice- make sure you get the car checked out by a professional mechanic (not shamrock motors) before buying from park ave auto lot. If you're buying the car "as-is", be EXTRA cautious since you most likely won't be able to claim lemon law due to the "as-is" status. My car wasn't sold as-is so I definitely should've returned it while I still could. My heart was unfortunately set on the car and I didn't find out the problems weren't fixed until it was too late.
