Went here to get a remote car starter for my car. Came here because it was one of the cheapest and closest places that did this. I called to set up an appointment and told them i wanted a basic car starter that only started the car thats it. I had problems with other places putting the security system on it that clashed with the factory alarm and loosing a key. They ensured i would get what i want and not loose a key. They told me it would be $250 with parts and install and I set my appointment for Saturday. I brought my car in Saturday morning around 9:15 since they said the earlier I bring the car the earlier I could get it back. The man told me that It would take around 3 hours to install once its in the garage but it was about 4 cars ahead of mines. I planned to be the whole day without my car reading previous reviews saying how long the service was. By 2:30pm i got a call saying it was ready to be picked up. When i picked it up i believe the owner showed me all the functions of the started and told me i had a lifetime warranty. My total cost came to about $274 with tax and a 6.96 "garage fee". All in all im very satisfied with their work. It didnt mind paying the extra tax because it was still less than the 320-350 other places were going to charge. read more

I was uncertain with what I wanted and they were patient and helpful. I really felt like these guys knew what they were doing and would take the time and care enough about what I wanted to do the job right. I couldn't be happier with what they did. 0 stars!!! This place is the biggest rip-off I have ever experienced! Con artists. Lied to my face. I went there and asked about a set of rims and tires for my suv. They said they would be special ordered and not to worry thT I was in good hands. They were all about collecting money from me instead of advising anf making any recommendations being that they are the ones with "experience ". I after my horrible experience found out I was overcharged by hundreds for what they sold me. They charged me $3,200 for rims and tires when I could've gotten them for $2,500 everywhere elese. They used uneven amount of spacers 3 in fronts 4 in rears. They also cut off some of my center bolt. The worst part is they gave me cheap chinese Sunny tires. Garbage!!!! They said the tires were just as good as any American tires. My truck rode rough and they steering wheel shook so bad I thought there was damage. I called them immediately, they told me to come in, in 2 weeks. Not immediately, not tomorrow or day after. That they were too busy! I then on my own not knowing went spending money at tires places getting alignments, rotations, balancing, my dealer and no one knew why it shook so bad until they saw the brand of tire. I put my stocks back on and boom, the truck rode as smooth as ever before. I called Class1 back and they gave me a run around. No apologies, no please come in, nothing! Story time! Christmas I buy an auto start (parts and installation) for my father's Ford Explorer. Next time I visit, he still hadn't had the time to install it, so I drive the SUV over and get told that Saturdays they can't accept walk-ins. Later I visit again, and he still hasn't made it out that way, so I try my luck once more. This time they tell me that the gift card expires 60 days from purchase. Once more, I'll repeat that. Any purchase you make must be redeemed in 60 days. So as not to loose a couple hundred dollars, I ask what can be done. First, they charge me a 25% restocking fee, and then argue that the wrong auto-start had been purchased. For a clerical error on the part of the original sales clerk, they were going to charge me an extra $75. At this point I'm still resigned and turn over the key. A few hours later, I get a call to tell me that they can't complete the project the way it was originally described. One key would have to be "lost" (embedded into the car door). If I were to get the key replaced at the dealer, it would cost $500+, to get it done in town is $100+. So the options they gave were to either forfeit the original purchase, or throw in hundreds of dollars more to get the car done. At this point I feel a bit abused, and more like an idiot than I have in a while. If it hadn't been a gift, I maybe would have cut my losses. My step mother argued over the phone with the company for quite some time about all this, and was met with no remorse, and little compromise. She will be contacting the BBB, and submitting letters of complaint. read more

Do you guys only do installations and customizations, or do you also do repairs?" C1E: "Oh yeah, we can do everything for you." Me: "OK, well, the mechanism in my CD player that changes and ejects the discs is broken. So now all if my CD's are stuck in my car. Is there any way you could repair it so I can get them out? Definitely recommend Class 1 Autosports :) My hubby and I stopped in to replace the audio system in our 2009 Jeep Wrangler. Chris and the staff were so helpful in choosing the right system for what we we looking for. Chris even price matched the radio from my Amazon app. They also tinted the front windows and rather than rush the job, called to let me know the audio was ready if I wanted to pick the car up. We left the vehicle for the next day for the tint and they were appreciative of our patience. When we completely messed up the radio by resetting to factory settings, Chris took the time to fix everything and get it working again. read more

I'm currently sitting in Dunkin Donuts, across the street from Class 1 waiting for them to finish installing the remote start in my boyfriend's car that they've had for 12 hours. When we first went there, we were told we had to make an appointment to have the remote start installed and that it would take "3 to 4 hours". We made the appointment for today at 9am. It's now 9:30pm and the car still isn't finished. No one from Class 1 contacted us with an update on the car, we called twice throughout the day and ended up just showing up at their location. I walked in very agitated and immediately hurled my complaints at the guy, who tried to make me feel guilty by telling me he'll probably be working until midnight and that they have 4 other cars to finish. I made a comment about having an appointment and he told me that so did the other people. Why they would overbook and blatantly lie about the time it would take to complete the job is beyond me. The guy there tried to show me the other cars they still had to complete and rambled on about other things of which I didn't care. I informed him that I work at a car dealership and don't need to be jerked around. Don't even get me started about how their sign advertises "Remote Start installed $99.99" and my total today will be $230. I will never get anything done here again. Had an appointment for 9am for what was supposed to be a "hour to an hour and a half" install time. When I arrived they just assumed I was dropping off the car and will pick it up later because they did not know how long it would actually take. I questioned the purpose of making an appointment and didn't get a straight answer... Not the end of the world I found a ride and left my car there. I called back at 12pm (3 hours after I dropped it off) and they informed me that they would call me when it was completed. At 4pm I got a call that they where waiting to have my car put on a lift because the wiring they need to access was not under the dash like they had thought, and they need to reach it from under the car. At this point It's 7 hours from when I left them the car, and my 9am appointment seems pointless. At 7pm I call to find out that my car would be ready in 30 minutes and that I could go pick it up. When I get there I'm informed that the part they where installing was defective and they needed a new one. So after more than 10 hours of having the car they accomplished absolutely nothing. A great place with excellent service and excellent work! I bought a Dodge Ram from the dealership down the street and I chose the base model figuring I would customize it myself. I could get what I want and it would cost less than what the dealer charges. I stopped by Class 1 Autosports to get some info and prices. Those guys are so knowledgeable, informative, and helpful being that I didn't know much about after market accessories. They explained everything thoroughly which helped me make the right decisions for my truck. I got a 6" lift with 20" wheels and 35" tires. They did the decals on the hood and the side of the bed along with black side steps and LED headlights. They also did the fender flares for a more aggressive look. I am getting an LED light bar on the roof and in the grille next. The price was reasonable, the service was great, and the work was outstanding. Class One Auto Sports: The sign looks like it says "Class C" and I should have stopped at that observation. Why? Because they are a 3rd-rate, low-class, shadier-than-shady operation. I got new rims put on my car. The first thing I noticed was that they didn't put the chrome caps back on the valves. They put plastic caps on instead, and they weren't even all the same color! They also didn't put the old rims back IN my car, as I requested. Then I noticed that my car had a wobble. I took it back and they said "You need control arms, bushings, struts, tie bars" the list went on. I then took it to my regular mechanic for a second opinion and guess what? My car was wobbling because these total idiots at Class 1 put EVERY ONE of my tires on backwards. Directional tires on backwards. Experts? Nay. Oh, they also forgot the hub-centric rings - which are NECESSARY for centering. Every wheel was mounted and fastened wrong! Here is the topper: I was charged twice on my credit card for the nuts and key that they didn't tell me I would need until AFTER I purchased the rims. At that point I would have asked for my money back, but in the fine print I found that they have a NO REFUND policy and the store credit is only good for 60 days, as are gift cards. Talk about shady, this is about as shady as it gets. I contacted the store manager, Joe, Who was extremely unprofessional. He blamed the double charge on his "F*$%ing computer", then began to wax poetic about how much he "hates this upgrade to his software and blah blah blah" - cry me a river. At one point he got defensive and started in with the "I've been in business for 22 years and yaaaawn". I'd like to know what these businesses are. I am sure they are varied, many, and failed. Talking on the phone got me nowhere so I went down to say hello. I dropped in, had a very loud encounter with one of the technicians, called the police, and had an in-store visit with the Green Brook PD. Joe, the manager then agreed to a refund for the labor, as I felt that I didn't deserve to have to pay for this horrible work. "Joe" then issued me a refund cheque - only to later stop payment because I "gave a bad review" online. That's a violation of my constitutional right to freedom of speech and expression, and it happened to be an honest review. This issue is still unresolved and I have filed a claim in Civil court. I have reported this sham house to the Better Business Bureau, and I'm currently talking with the Department of Consumer Affairs. I intend to do whatever I can do to bring to the attention of the public the fact that this place and these people are indeed scam artists. Only go here if you like getting ripped off. I brought my 2013 Infiniti G37x in to get the windows tinted (black car with black interior, so tinting was a MUST for me). The whole process took about 2 hours. While I was waiting, I noticed a sign at the register indicating that there would be a lifetime warranty on the tints. This gave me mixed feelings. I didn't know if I should feel good about having that safety net, or concerned that I may need it... I am somewhat familiar with the challenges involved in applying window tint (similar to applying adhesive vinyl, which I've done) and it is very difficult to remove all air bubbles and specks of dust underneath the tint/vinyl. So I sat waiting and thinking "I hope these guys know what they're doing." Once it was finished, I was extremely impressed. Not a single air bubble, crease, or a flapped or curled edge. The tint is "one with the window" lol. The only thing that bothered me was that I couldn't open my windows for 3 days after that (in order to allow everything to dry and settle in). But, I was patient and let kept the windows up for the entire 72 hours, and I'm glad I did; I'd hate to ruin such a perfect job just because I'm impatient. If you're forgetful, they put these little "bandaid" sized stickers over the window buttons to remind you not to roll them down for 3 days. That was good, especially for when I had passengers in the car in the days after that. After the 3 days were up, I drove over to Class 1 again and got the VIP car wash. The wash was better than I expected. At first glance, it looked better than when I took the car from the dealer. However, once I sat inside, I noticed that the rear windshield still had the same smudges from when the tint was applied. This annoyed me, but I think even after the no "window-rolling" phase, there is another 4 or 5 days that you're not supposed to wipe away any moisture or something? They mentioned something like that when I was paying for the tints, but I am terrible at paying attention to things like that. Either way, though, I called and spoke to "Joe" at the shop and he assured me they'll take care of anything I wasn't happy with. I was also impressed that he encouraged me to tell him if there was anything I wasn't happy with from now on. They really seem to care about that stuff. After the car wash, with window smudges and all, I pulled into a Wawa to grab a drink and I was immediately complimented, "Nice car!" from a woman passing by. I recommended Class 1 right away and told her about my positive experiences there. Oh, and I am always getting compliments on the tints. People that have tints on their cars are impressed with how well mine were applied. I will definitely be bringing my car there again. read more

I had a great experience and service at Class 1 Autosports, and am happy to recommend them! My Thule bike rack was not coming off my car. The screw was stripped, and locking nut was frozen, and another big chain repair shop, further up Rt 22, said they'd have to saw it off and destroy the rack. The Owner at Class 1 had his mechanics look at it to assess what could be done. He made sure that I understood that the rack might get some scratches, and it might take a hour or more, but they had the experience and resolve to get the rack off without damaging it. I could see that the mechanics were problem solving, with specialized equipment, and working collaboratively to figure out the best solution. Every business should have employees like this! In less than an hour my Thule rack was safely off, without any damage! The technician explained to me how he got it off, and even gave me a replacement screw and nut for free. It was a very reasonable charge for first class work and I'll be back for future work on my car! read more

Without doubt the most unprofessional company ever step foot into this place is totally the worst on entire Route 22!! Went there on a recommendation for tint job for one of my show cars and discovered that the installer ruff cut the tint film laying against the car and cut it to my paint for every single window !I went back to show them the damage they denied it. It is a hard lesson to take they were so overbooked that the car wind up getting done late so I had to pick up the car late in the day when it was dark out , other wise I would have picked it out immediately. The sad part is I bought this car for my wife after she had a heart attack to cheer her up ,while she was recuperating.. And It turns out the car it's probably gonna need to be painted because the scratches with the razor are so deep. If they would've offered something kind of a help anything except denial and the door . After looking into it I found out most jobs done their turn out bad so becareful who you trust with your car . It's a shame that now I need a paint job !Two different autobody companies said when they did tint job they cut very deep into the paint . Just ridiculous that no one at a company of this caliber would offer any help to fix the damage they caused on my car. They have my word that the public needs to be aware. TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS!!! So let me tell you about my experience there. This story stems from last Christmas, but i just read one of these reviews, and it sounded eerily similar to my story, so i figured I would share mine as well. Last Christmas, my girlfriend purchased a Viper alarm and remote start package, as a present to install into my Ford F-150 pickup truck, with a gift certificate to have it installed at my convenience. I was really busy with work so the earliest time i was able to bring it in was in February. When i tried to make an appointment, they told me that they would not honor my gift certificate, because it was from last year. Can you believe that? The gift certificate was a month and a half old, and they did not honor it because it was from "last year". I kept my cool and asked to speak to a manager, and he informed me that he was the manager, and he would not budge off his position. So to make a long story short, i got beat, or should i say my girlfriend got beat for the money she paid for the labor to install this thing. And to add insult to injury, they also informed me that i didn't have all the parts, and i had to pay an extra $75 for some other part that i needed to make it all work. It would not have been good if i stayed any longer, so i just left and never went back again. I found the manager and the staff there to be very arrogant, young, and immature. I later found out that they are not even authorized to sell the Viper brand. It's a very shady business there, and now i don't even know if my remote starter is a genuine Viper part, or some cheap knockoff they bought at some flea market or canal st. Over the last year i ran into 7 or 8 other people that have had similar experiences there. stories of them damaging someones car, and denying all responsibility towards the damage, to selling my friend 3M tint, and charging him good money for it, only to find out months later that again they are not authorized to sell 3M tint. He then took it to another tint shop only to confirm that in fact, it was not genuine 3M tint. (not to mention he had numerous little bubbles in every window.) I have yet to find someone that had a good experience there. In the end i left there and immediately went down the street to Zippos car audio, and was greeted with a completely different experience. They took me in on the spot, were very accommodating, friendly, and seemed very knowledgeable at what they do. Not to mention, they are authorized to sell Viper. I have since had a few other things installed by them, business that Class 1 will never get from me again. Also in there bio, it states that Class 1 Electronics have been established since 1979. Would not recommend Management of the shop and owner mean well; however, poor quality workers result in poor quality product/service. This shop performed a tint on two cars I owned in the past (windows and taillights), which I was happy with. I relied on this business to perform the same job on the same car I had an accident in to re-tint replacement taillight. However, due to change in the employee who previously performed the tinting, the tint peeled off the first time. The manager told me that they must have cleaned it poorly and will re-tint. The second time and second tint, the same day the tint peeled off. This time the manager said it must be the plastic on the aftermarket taillight, although the light was pre-owned OEM light that was replaced after the accident. So, the third time and this time both taillights re-tinted and both tints pilled off the same day. I gave two stars because the manager made every attempt in remedy the situation and was professional in doing so, including providing refund for the service. I was given a 9:30am apt and was told I could wait an hr for my car. I arrived on time just to be told that there was another car ahead of me and it would take another 3 hrs before they could start. If I was told this in advance, I would have made arrangements to drop my vehicle off and get a ride. Absolutely unreliable, unprofessional, and no customer service skills. Bought a 1969 Camaro from these people and WOW what a shame. Joe I guess one of the owners advertised this car as a rust free, all new panel car with a 9 out of 10 paint job. Had the car transported back to texas and WOW what a terd. Took it to my restoration shop I use to learn it has bondo, rust and the panels are crap along with the paint. The owner Joe said he wanted to make right just needed to talk to partner, next day via text said pretty much to stick it. This place is horrible, you should literally go anywhere else but here. I came here a few years ago to have 30k blue HIDs hooked up to my Nissan Altima. First they told me it would only be $45 to hook up the lights & it would only take 1 hour max. It turned out to take over 2 hours & they tried to charge me $96 when I was originally quoted for $45. How is it my fault that you didn't know what you were doing ? At first I was happy with the way the product came out but then after a few weeks the bulb started to fade & it was shining white....it wasn't blue anymore. I went back numerous times for them to fix it & their manager Chris kept saying oh yeah I'll order you a new one since you're under 1 year warranty. I had to call once a week for over a month to see if the new HID kit came in & they just kept saying "oh it'll be another week" . I drove back to Class 1 to talk to them in person then he said it'll be here a few days and then once again I never heard back from them. I eventually gave up & NEVER went back to that place again. A few months later when I was getting rid of the Nissan Altima, I wanted to put back the regular stock bulbs. When I was taking apart the HID kit all I saw was tape, zip ties, and wires hanging everywhere. Gee thanks, I could have done that myself. I'm glad they were being stingy over a $45-$96 & wouldn't accommodate me though. They missed out on hundreds, possibly even thousands of dollars for the mods I put on all my future cars when I brought my money elsewhere. They are the biggest rip off ever ! read more
