I recently visited a SmileGeneration office in my current town, Dentists of Port Charlotte, I was initially excited because I was hoping for similar service from a product of the same company. Unfortunately, they did not even come close to meeting any level of quality. I miss South Kendall Dentistry. I highly recommend that office to anyone in the Kendall area of Miami. They worked quickly and carefully and had me out within 3 or so hours of arrival. They charged $300 for X‑rays and added $170 for flossing half of my husband's teeth -- nothing more. Having been treated by world‑class dentists, including Dr. Lindsay Pankey Sr. & Jr., I know what ethical, skilled dentistry looks like. Towncare Dental Pinecrest is the opposite. Their priorities are financial, not clinical, and certainly not patient‑centered. I reported the incident to my insurance, though I doubt anything will change; the system protects revenue, not patients. If the ADA truly monitors practices like this, they should intervene. Dental cleaning and true dental care should be separate disciplines -- just as a pedicure is not the same as seeing a podiatrist.

I waited in their comfortable and open spaced waiting room and before you know it I was called in. I get nervous about coming to the dentist, I rather see any other doctor but Dr. Barbeito and staff were very kind and explained everything that was going to happen. It soothed my nerves. I took 4 xrays and was given a prescription. I was given an appointment to come back to see their specialist just as a precaution and I only paid about as much as a copay. I had a great experience here and although I don't like coming to the dentist I know they are very reliable, honest, and I won't have to dip into my savings to afford a visit.
