This place has the most excellent beer I've tasted in Iowa. It has such fun flavors and amazing IPA's. The stouts are so smooth. Also the food is to die for. I suggest the Brussels sprouts and the potato soup. I can't wait to come back to this place not only for the amazing things to eat and drink but also for the amazing owners and bartenders.

Great brewery near Ames in Huxley, Iowa. I stopped in for the 1st time and the owner greeted me kindly and then I proceeded to talk to her about their different craft beers and about their brewing processes. It was a great experience and the brewery had an excellent variety of delicious craft beers along with a great atmosphere. They also had some awesome stories to go along with their different decor inside. And their flight boards for beer were made out of old fence posts, which I found to be very cool. This place is DEFINITELY a must stop for all travelling through!

We absolutely love this place! The beers are so unique and plentiful--combined with their own sparkling options, there really is something for everyone. BUT--the unique food is SO good! Not just your typical pub fare, but interesting specials to accompany the favorite flatbreads, chili, and homemade soups, and special fave: Brussel sprouts with local Prairie Breeze cheese; truly the best sprouts we've had anywhere. Give this gem a try. The owners and staff are super friendly. Cool small town vibe. :)

My husband thinks this is actually where the best burger in town is located?? I personally got the pizza & honestly - was not that impressed. However, no points docked due to trying his burger & melting into my seat. We tried the beer mixers & they were definitely something new to try! Staff was very friendly & our wait time was little to none for either food or drinks. Would recommend!

Random search on Google led us to this very wonderful discovery. Great beer, great food. Amazing service from Pammie - so informative and super helpful. The trip was worth it just to meet her. In you are in the area, swing in and support this local business.

Fabulous beer and food. Homey atmosphere with awesome wait staff! So many choices for craft beer and farm fresh food with weekly menu. Also flights at a reasonable price!

Love!! We came yesterday for the first time. The place was great--nice decor, a bunch of different rooms, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The beers were pretty good. I'd like to come back in a few months to see if they polished up the final product. Except for their mimosa beer (mango blonde?)--that was perfection. Wow. That was a good beer! And it tasted just like--you guessed it--a mimosa. Also, they specialize in biscuits and gravy with biscuits made from the spent grains (from the beer-making process). How freaking cool is that?! What a novel idea! So we chowed down on biscuits and gravy while drinking our beer, and then, we had a thin mint cheesecake from the bakery next door for dessert. I'm 99% sure this brewery was made especially for me with three of my favorites: beer, biscuits and gravy, and cheesecake. Oooooooh man! You bet I'll be back. What a gem for Huxley, Iowa!

They have a decent inside with several little areas that are semi closed which would make this a good place for group functions. The patio outside is pretty big. There is a variety of table sizes, so large parties can be accommodated. They also have several fire pit areas for groups. The inside has 2 large bar seating options. There are plenty of TVs inside and outside in case you are looking for a place to watch sports.

I really enjoyed it and even got some to go so that I could enjoy back in KC. I am a big fan our sours, so I loved getting a flight and trying several of their options. I was a little disappointed because they were out of two that I was really excited to try, but that must just mean they are really good. For an appetizer, my fiancée loves the chips and dip. I was skeptical because how good could they be, but the chips were fresh and the dips were very yummy and unique. We both ordered burgers and loved them. I don't think of this being a burger place, but if you go, I would highly recommend a burger. They all looked so good, and I don't think you could go wrong. I also had a side of mac and cheese that I would order again as an entrée. Restaurant mac and cheese is usually pretty average, but this was so yummy. We really enjoyed our food here and would go back for burgers and some flights. We made our own 4-pack to go which I would recommend if you are looking to try a variety of their drinks!

The Smush Burger with American Cheese, fried onions, pickles, and Lua Sauce. I wasn't expecting it to be so incredibly delicious. How does this place not get recognized or have I just been sleeping because the burger is phenomenal. Juicy, great flavor, and the Lua Sauce is excellent as well. The fires were very good too. The Service was good. A minor annoyance is the 3% fee for CC. Paid cash and still got the 3% fee. Just figure it into the price of business if you're going to get charged for it either way. Just an annoyance. Will definitely return for the burger. Sorry haters I felt it was better than Lachelle's, better flavor. Just my opinion.

It is right off the trail, has free water, free live music, free bike parking, and a great patio. Add in cold local beer at fair prices, and it is pretty hard to complain. My only suggestion: please consider selling mix-and-match 4-packs or single cans to go. We wanted to buy some to take with us, but we could not agree on one flavor, so we skipped buying more and just stuck with what came out of the tap. For cyclists, bridge beers and bike beers are a real thing, and it feels like there is a missed opportunity there.
