We had gone through two wood-post fences in the past 10 years and were tired of having to replace posts due to rot and insect damage. We wanted to have metal posts but maintain the privacy of a wooden fence. Bruno understood exactly what we wanted and didn't try to pressure us into a different solution. We really liked that Bruno said we could reuse many of the old fence panels in the new fence, rather than sending good panels off to the landfill. The installation team was amazing! During some of the hottest days this year, they worked quickly and with precision. They thoroughly cleaned up the workspace at the end of each day (the installation took three days to complete). The guys double-checked their understanding of where we wanted the new gate placed before finishing setting up the posts so that we would have the gate exactly where we wanted it. I really can't say enough good things about the installation team--these guys are awesome! The finish details on the fence (putting in pieces to "hide* the metal posts on the gate and along the corners from the outside) were the icing on the cake. They added new paneling, but kept the new paneling on a separate section so that each fencing section looks coherent (older panels on one side of the house; new panels on the other). This really is the fence that our home deserves! Communication was good. The fence installation was completed a week ago yesterday. Upon inspection later that night (I wasn't home when they finished, so I couldn't let them know right away), we noticed that one post cap was not installed--easy to miss since it's one of the gate posts and you can't see it if the gate is open. We called and emailed to let them know that we still needed a post cap. Update (3 days later): They came by to install the missing post cap this morning! So very happy with the fence and process overall! read more

10/2/19 UPDATE I've no words for how well our fence came out. Fabio and team have absolutely delivered. Above and beyond pleased with the outcome, craftsmanship and our beautiful new fence that essentially wraps the final, glossy bow around our home improvement project. There's a very good reason Fence 101 is rated so well. They deserve it! Our hiccup in getting the project priced and started is now long forgotten! THANK YOU, Fabio and team!!! *** 9/5/19 UPDATE I added a star... Fabio has reached out apologizing extensively for dropping the ball. He has since provided a revised quote and we've gone ahead and hired him. He will be doing the installation Sept 25-27. I reserve the right to keep adding stars as the project progresses :) *** 9/3/19 ORIGINAL REVIEW I hate to do this because I know hard-working people everywhere are really trying to keep up with this bustling economy. In case of Fence 101, we started out strong when Fabio came out (on time and professional) to give us a quote but as soon as we asked for a revised quote that deviated slightly from the baseline, to include a higher-grade material, Fabio kept promising a revised quote but never provided one. He promised a new quote several times and by very specific times, too (i.e. end of the day, by lunch, etc) but still nothing. I honestly hate leaving this review because I'm sure Fabio simply couldn't fit us in (so ignoring my requests was the easiest way of dealing with it) but in the interest of consumer awareness, which Yelp helps provide, this was my experience and I wanted to share so others can make an informed decision about whether to reach out and/or hire Fence 101. I would have gladly worked with Fabio -- he seemed like he would have given us a nice fence -- but he never gave us a chance. read more

Cannot say enough about these guys.... Fabio was our point-man throughout this process and he was phenomenal. He answered phone calls and texts promptly and was also timely in setting up our first visit to get estimates. We decided we wanted to consider 3 of the styles his company offered and he was able to give us complete quotes for each within minutes of our first meeting. On installation day he arrived with one assistant and got right to work - laboring hard and steadily throughout the day into early evening. First removing an existing stockade fence (including extracting the cemented posts up from the ground) and then installing our beautiful, new vinyl fence. He and his assistant were neat and conscientious about their work and also our and our neighbor's properties. They needed to return on two other days - to attach the gate (which had to come after main fence settled a bit), to install an additional section on the other side of the house, and to also finish up some loose ends where our fence joined up with a neighbor's. Fabio was beyond helpful working with a rather difficult neighbor and setting their concerns at ease. He was exceptionally diplomatic and sensitive to their needs and went above and beyond for them and us on every level. The finished product was all we had hoped for and we couldn't be happier. read more

Phenomenal, that's the word I would use to describe Bruno and Fence 101. We wanted to fence in part of the yard for our dog. We had three different quotes from various companies. Bruno worked with me fairly and honestly to make the fence happen quickly. He had the best offer and was still creative to make the fence happen within our budget. We purchased a 4ft black chain link fence with four gates. Bruno was able to custom build a gate for our archway entry by the driveway. They installed the fence quickly with professionalism and he cleaned up after the job not leaving behind any trash or materials. He is a great communicator and I had many questions. I appreciated his willingness to answer my questions and keep me updated. Bruno always responded to my emails within a couple of hours. Bruno is just a nice genuine person. I will gladly refer Bruno and Fence 101 to my family, neighbors, and strangers! Beyond happy with the fence as is our dog!! -Kat read more

Truly amazing service. Bruno knows what it means to run a small business - impeccable work, on time, and reasonable priced. I can't say enough about this fence company. I called 4 companies for estimates. One sent a sales guy who was not professional at all. The other two were big names w/ big prices. Almost 20% higher than Fence101. My yard looks amazing. We had a few changes during the project and they were very accommodating. Crew was here every day and worked beyond 8hrs. We had major rocks buried and many posts took longer than expected to install. But no add'l charges were requested. The only issue was the gates were not closing properly at the end of the project. Bruno himself came out to adjust them a day after I called. I almost wish I had more yard to fence in, these guys are that good! I wouldn't waste your time calling anyone else. Highly recommend!!! read more

Fence101 was BEYOND impressive! We had a family friend who used the wrong cement with our fence and a recent wind storm blew it over and the gate wouldn't latch correctly. We were planning to put our house up for sale quickly and needed it done as soon as possible. I called and spoke with Fabio, very professional and was able to come out to my house the next day to give my husband and I a quote to fix our fence. He priced out the materials and the labor. We scheduled a day for them to come out and they were on time and sent us updated photos and video with the fence and gate when it was finished. We were able to text them with any questions and they were very responsive in getting back to us. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to put in a fence or have their fence fixed or replaced. read more

I've had a job a few months ago to replace the wooden fence around my house (more than 200 feet) to Vinyl. After careful look on the net and various contacts over the phone, I decided to go with Fence 101. I can't be happier with my choice. Fabio and his team have been extremely professional, friendly, attentive to my requests and knowledgeable. They have done a terrific job. On the top of that, their price was extremely competitive (I contacted more than 10 companies for free estimates), and more importantly they were the only one to offer a 3 year warranty on their installation (while all the others were only 1 year). Needless to say, they are, in my point of view, a must-go for fencing work in the Boston area. I highly recommend them. read more

We got our fence installed towards the end of May and are so thrilled with the quality and service. First, Bruno came out to give us quote. He was incredibly helpful. He answered all of our questions and helped us work through the type of fence that would be best for our needs. Throughout the whole process, Fabio and Bruno were very responsive to all questions that we had. The timeline was exactly what they said it would be. The team who came out to install the fence were incredibly professional and kind. We read a lot of reviews from different companies when deciding on a fence company and are SO happy that we went with Fence 101. The price was very reasonable and the quality is great! We would highly recommend!! read more

Our new 6ft vinyl fencing looks awesome! Adds additional inches in privacy height too. We are are very pleased. Must say though, our project had to be the most difficult encounter for the installers. We once had 14 of 19 trees bordering our property line removed. Bruno advised that despite stump grinding service, roots remain below ground. Evident in the difficulty Fence 101's techs had digging post holes. There were roots to Hades! Despite the challenge Fence 101's hard working installers managed to erect a beautiful fence securely and accurately. Very fairly priced for our 19 quality panels. We highly recommend Fence 101! The front office communication is expedient too. Kudos to Bruno, Fabio, and Ana read more

We were in need of fencing in the remainder of our yard. I called to get quotes and chose Fence 101. Fabio was very nice and did 2 quotes for us based on the two options were were considering. We chose to fully fence in the remainder up to our neighbors wooden fence. Gilbert and Francisco came out to do the work. They were patient, kind and exemplary workers they did a phenomenal job and checked in with me whenever they had to make a slight adjustment due to the nature of our yard. They also had very high temps up to 90° on the second and most grueling day. I would highly recommend Fabio and his team if you need fencing work done. They truly went above and beyond. It looks amazing and we are thrilled. read more

Fabio and his crew were AMAZING!!!! I knew from the first time I met Fabio that I wanted to go with him, he had some great ideas for what to do with the fence and after getting many quotes Fence 101 was very affordable. The job they did and the professionalism they showed were top notch. I will never need a new fence again but if I did they would be the first ones I call. I can not say enough good things about them, they answered every question (many questions) my 5 year old son had to ask them about doing the fence and they always were happy and excited to be there. THANK YOU!!!!!!!! AND the Fence looks fantastic, we have had so many people come up to us and tell us how nice it looks. read more

I had 4 companies come out to quote my fence projects before Bruno arrived. 1 came out 4 times and never have me an estimate. 1 came out twice because they lost the measurements and 1 never replied when I asked a question. Bruno made it easy, he quoted me that day, suggested options and delivered exactly as expected even though I was out of town on business. His price was much more reasonable than some of the big companies, and his communication was excellent. He went above and beyond. He even removed old wood garage door out back that I couldn't dump myself and charged me nothing. Highly recommend him and his team. read more

Bruno and his partner (whose name I have misplaced--apologies!) did a fabulous job installing a fence around our yard so that we could let our dog run free without fear of him running into traffic. The fence itself is beautiful, sturdy, chainlink, with several gates big enough for our ride-around mower to get inside and out. Fence101 was prompt in replying to our inquiry, prompt in giving a quote (measured the area and voila!), and prompt in doing the install. They also cleaned up all the debris afterwards. On budget, on time, and helpful in explaining options. I could not be happier with the fence or the service! read more

Fence 101 did an outstanding job! They removed my old rotting fence and installed a new wooden fence. They had a difficult task performing this work in winter weather, on a large old fence. Their work is beautiful! They were respectful of my yard and gardens near the fence as well. I was so appreciative of their exceptional customer service as well - patient (with my questions and anxiety, lol), prompt, helpful, and personable. They went over all options ensuring I was getting the fence I wanted and made sure I understood every step. I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Fence 101 did an excellent job in removing my old fence and installing my new vinyl fence. The 3 men working at my house were very hard working and particular on the installation. They offered some suggestions that I consider and were very helpful. They even transplanted a shrub to make room for a gate. After noticing a small dent on one of the panels they were quick to fix the panel. The fence looks absolutely fantastic and is a HUGE improvement over the previous wooden fence that was on its last legs! I would highly recommend them! Peter M. read more

We hired Fence101 based on a friend's recommendation who had hired them for a residential fence project. Fabio and his team did an amazing job! They did a perfect job installing a 6 ft vinyl privacy fence around our property. Fabio was very helpful showing us different options for toppers and guiding our decision. It was a smooth experience from start to finish - stellar customer service/communication, efficient/professional install, and easy payment portal. I would definitely recommend Fence101 to anyone in the Boston area looking for a new fence! read more

As a retired person who use to negotiate industrial machinery installations and purchasing, I set out to do the same to replace my cedar fence that had outlived it's life. I vetted 6 fence contractors and received quotes. Bruno of Fence 101 was one of the bidders for the job. They were not the lowest or the highest bid but my gut instinct was to award the job to them. Can't begin to tell you how pleased I was with the disposal of the old and the installation of my new vinyl privacy fence. Great job, on time and on budget. read more

Bruno and Fabio are absolutely great to work with. They are true professionals, craftsmen and partners. From the first interaction, through the quoting process and completing the project, they and their crew were fantastic. Our fence is beautiful, high quality and we couldn't believe how quickly it was installed. They pay great attention to detail and were collaborative and creative on a few areas where we needed their help. We will absolutely be using them again in the future and highly recommend them to everyone. read more

Bruno and the team from Fence 101 did an outstanding job enclosing my entire backyard with 6" chain link fence. The quote provided was the best I received from several other companies including those much closer to my home. The guys showed up to start the installation site-unseen and were able to work around all of slopes and rises that my yard presented without issue. They were always positive, with smiles and seemed to enjoy their work. An excellent experience overall. John Burke - Lakeville MA read more
