Do not visit Labcorp…read more Back in April, I was referred to a hematologist that is licensed to practice in Texas (their office is in Florida). I live in Texas. My insurance is BCBS Texas. I took the single blood test lab that my hematologist ordered for me to do at LabCorp and did it (in Texas... where I live). Months later in September, LabCorp sent me a $980 bill for the single blood test. They had billed it against BCBS Florida. I called them and asked about it. I did the test in Texas and live in Texas. Why are they billing it to FL? They said it's because my doctor is in Florida. My doctor said she is licensed for Texas and ordered it appropriately. LabCorp doesn't care. They've been hounding me for $980 for one blood test. Ridiculous. I called and they told me I could do a "Financial Hardship Request" and that they won't keep sending me bill reminders while it's being reviewed. I did the Hardship request, e-mailed it back to the place they requested. I even e-mailed to request confirmation they received my application and let them know I still got bills. No reply. It's been months. I got a bill today telling me I had 20 days to pay or I go to collections. $980 for a blood test is a scam and ridiculous. NEVER DO LABCORP.

Labcorp - Well, there is slight bruising. I'm used to huge, long bruises from labs.

I came to this ER because I had unbearable back pain. I was there less than 2 hours. They told me…read morethey needed a urine sample to be able to give me the shot for my pain. So I did that, got the shot, and went home. They charged me $8,958 for that! Just to get into the ER, they charge you $5,400! I didn't get any X-Rays, they didn't give me a diagnosis, nothing. The itemized receipt said the ONE shot (KETOROLAC TROMETHAMINE) was $1957. RIDICULOUS.

Unfortunately I wish I could give zero stars. I arrived with life threatening conditions(after being turned away because i couldnt afford it, i went to BS&W to find i was in respiratory failure, metabolic acidosis, lactic acidosis, and severe bronchospasms) I arrived, was told to sat in the front office and fill out paperwork whole not being able to breathe, then was taken to the room with the nurse and she triaged me while i was in respiratory distress, without treatment. As a nurse you do have ability to start minor treatment for patients before seeing the physician if they are in extreme duress. Ex: Oxygen. However she didnt, then shut the curtain and door and left me gasping for air and wheezing. Woman physician came in (i wish i could remember her name) assessed me and told me I would be treated and left the room. I heard her argument with the nursing staff that I was not to be treated until i paid $600 upfront because they didnt take my insurance. The front desk staff came in and said the doctor determined i was not having ANY threatening issues and was allowed to deny treatment if i am unable to pay first. I explained EMTALA to the staff, which they profusely apologized and stated without the physicians approval they could not help me. The nurse came to the parking lot when i left due to me being unable to breathe or stand and profusely apologized and told me where to go. If you are near this ED, DO NOT GO. GO TO BS&W because the incompetence of the physician and money hungry ED will kill you. I am an RN myself and unfortunately healthcare is about money, and over confident physicians who are not put in their places end up killing others. I wish so badly they would close down. I am disgusted.

I called for appointment and the lady gave me an automated hotline. That hotline is the most annoying thing you will ever have to deal with. You find locations by the zip code and choose your available time. After you pick the location and find out theres no available time convenient for you. You have to hang up and dial back to pick a new location. I did that freaking four times before I decided to cursed them out to give me an easier option. They told me the online way. Why didn't they freaking do that in the first place? I'm in pain and impatience, this place really tests your patience. it was my turn to get my blood work done and there was a vile of blood from the person before me sitting on the table. Their armband string was also out. I'm pretty sure that vile of blood was suppose to be on a rack or safe somewhere other than lying on the table. I told the technician about it and she quickly put it on the blood rack. Wow
