I do not think this owner owns the laundromat off highway 9. That one was a disaster, nothing worked, get stuff in and oh did not work, this happened three times, then to dry some worked, others did not and so I wasted money and time. I also do not like tucked away places; as you can be assaulted in them. Not paranoid, been assaulted more times then I got fingers and toes, so I am super cautious as I am a old hag now, and I cannot sustain another assault. This one is open with lots of windows and by lots of cars going by, and if under attack one can manage to get out if one has some skills to get some attention. Just saying, safety wise. I come into this establishment. I happened to be in the mood to buy a set; dryer and washer, best on the market hands down, is the Speed Queens. Unfortunately the business who sells them in town has two stars on yelp. The minute I walked in I saw Speed Queens. Now decades ago I had to use a Laundromat all the time, but I never paid any mind to any equipment. Now that I own a house, things changed. So I was thrilled to see how it cleaned my clothes before I go over the hill to buy me a set. Very nice, indeed, hot water. I realized my 30 year old Kenmore, I had gotten used to dingy cloths, and when it came out of the Queen, it was smelling nice and it looked clean. The dryers were nice and hot. Not lukewarm so you waste tons of coins and time. One complaint, was the dryer close to the wall, by the window as you come in from the lot where Goodwill is parked on the right side. Some clown kicked it in, so the coin gets stuck and it did not work. No problem, just moved it to one that worked. Damage to small businesses like this pisses me off, it hurts them. Then the soap dispensary did not work. I come with my own organic stuff, but there was a visitor from out of town, and he could not get it to work. I did not think it was great for him to reload his cloths in the car to go shop for soap. I offered him my soap. I wanted him to have a pleasant visit to our lovely town. Also everyone I met was nice and friendly. The Queens can take abuse and long hours of use, hence why so many laundromat have them. I was very pleased with the level of the cleaning job to maintain the business. I used to be a professional house cleaner so note levels of filth. It is obvious the owner takes pride in his business and I as a customer appreciates his efforts. Besides it is in such a nice location, you can sit outside and admire the wonders of Felton. read more

Coming back from a trip to Oregon we stopped here where we used to do our laundry every week when living near Felton and teaching at UCSC back in the 90s. We did all the laundry we had for the trip in one load in an hour and a half. Everything worked great. It is a clear facility. I was glad to see it was still the same as it ever was, with the same cheesy poster that says "Don't Dye here." read more

Clean and machines that get your clothes washed. I actually enjoy coming here and doing laundry because of how safe it feels and clean everything it is. The owner is there I'm pretty certain almost everyday, which is awesome because you know he cares and is making sure everything is in working order. Every machines and dryer has the option for card or coins, which again, AWESOME. It's about a dollar more than the one by the liquor store, but totally worth it, especially because it's cheaper than most places in Santa Cruz. Only suggestion I have is: keep the vending machines stocked! I know the vending machines are not a necessity because it's a laundry mat but they are there so it would be nice if they were re stocked more often. Otherwise, this place is perfect! read more

So. A little backstory. I have mild germaphobic tendencies and have never used a laundromat before because of weird fears surrounding that... I lived in Felton for about 7 months and would actually drive over the mountain to do laundry at my father's house 50 mins away wasting one of my precious weekend days off, but one day I was in a hurry and decided to embrace my fears and try this place as I needed to do laundry quickly and close to home. So this was my first ever laundromat experience. Haha. This place is actually really nice and not gross at all! Machines are clean, the building and shared spaces are well kept, and needless to say, I feel stupid for not trying this place out sooner! I really love the hanging plants (a little note to owner-they are struggling and need more water! The building gets really warm and humid so they need a little extra love!) Other than that- no complaints! Go here! read more

Great little neighborhood laundromat. The bathroom is sometimes locked, and the candy machines aren't always filled, but all the important things are always there, and always work: functioning washing machines, functioning dryers, filled change machines, and plenty of carts. Get there by 7am on weekends if you want to beat the rush! read more

My husband and I travel full time, so we have seen our share of laundromats. This place had clean washers and extra large dryers. The owner pops in throughout the day to make sure the place is clean and everything is operational. I've never had to wait for machines. Definitely recommend. read more

When I had no washer for a while I used this place, oh so super creepy, creepy people, seriously. No not everyone, but I was so happy to get my washer back when I did. I mean I know what laundry mats are like, so come on now . . . . . . it does get the job done though, a few vending machines to grab a snack and drink and a bathroom (though without sink) read more

This place is great! I needed to bring our Cal King comforter to a laundromat because it will only fit in a mega capacity washer. Came here when my regular laundromat failed me (half of their machines are always out of order). Everything was clean and in working order. It is a little more expensive than the other laundromat but I think it's well worth the extra couple bucks. It looks like they recently upgraded their equipment and the parking lot is freshly paved. All in all, a nice experience. I think I found a new place to go to! read more

I will never go to that crap laundromat again I brought in new white tee shirt and pants never used just open the packs up there and when I got done they where gray! Yes gray I said to my self what the hell! Well then I found out they use Recycle water there yes recycle when they redone the laundromat they used a waste water recycling units at the laundromat. Who in the hell wants to use recycle water on there clothes ? I can see that at car washes but not clothes thats sick and unsafe. I'll stick with the laundromat by Rite aid on why 9 they use clean water there. Again don't wash your clothes at Felton Grove laundry ! read more

Today I discovered the Felton Grove Laundry ! I used to go to a different laundramat, closer to where I live, but this is worth the extra 1/4 mile. Boy, was I impressed! First of all, it is actually pretty, having been recently completely remodeled--new floors, a sunshiney color paint, new machines, etc. and I just felt it was the most pleasant atmosphere of any laundramat I've been in! While I was waiting for my wash to finish, in came a man and his son, and the young boy was enjoying separating light and dark clothes into 2 machines. His father and I struck up a conversation, and I learned from Scott that this laundramat had been his family's business since he was a boy. He spoke with pride about the changes that had been made recently-- that the new machines had faster spin the water so less drying time was needed, and they had super soft water. The new dryers are also now more efficient so they could dry the clothes in about 16 minutes.Most importantly, he was so involved in making this place a happy place to do your wash! It is rare in these times to find a family business that cares so much about the quality of the service. I had come there to get the disgusting smell of Febreze out of some drapes from a studio, and I must say, the drapes came out so fresh and soft, way beyond my expectations. Such a nice atmosphere, friendly and caring owner, and excellent machines that do a stellar job on your wash--what more could you want-- unless maybe fir someone else to do your laundry.....but hey, it was so pleasant I didn't mind one bit! read more
