Don't come in the morning they do not open at 7am as stated. I came early on Sunday to get my laundry taken care off early got here at 7:15am still closed even though their hours are 7am -12am Monday - Sunday. Staff doesn't seem to be around but I got lucky and a regular gave me the tip that double load machines on the right have trouble spinning if you more than half fill them so I switched all the way to the triple load on the left row for my comforters. It's huge and has a lot of machines to choose from- all top notch, various sizes and each with all the settings you need (look for the size you need as cost to do your load is determined by size of machine). The attendant was busy cleaning and helping customers with a very friendly attitude. I'd go back again for the large machine to wash bed cover. read more

She broke my 20 dollar bill for coins and described the cost on the dryers. So glad to have found as we were camping at the state park near by for a couple of days. Convenient! read more

Edited to add: LOVE that this place is open till midnight. Even though I lived across town I still come here to do laundry because it matches my vampiric hours. The nighttime staff is fantastic. They work their buts off, at least the closing woman does. She's worked here a long time. Always friendly and happy to help. Hopefully she's fairly compensated. Over the last 25 years I've tried pretty much every other mat this side of the rivermouth and spin cycle (especially due to its late hours) will always have my business. read more

Clean and good machines, around the corner from OSH, Lucky, and other stores that you may visit between wash or dry cycles. Polite staff, always walking around cleaning and sweeping. Extra large washers for blankets or large loads. Coin machine on site. The bathroom is kept pretty clean. read more

I first would like to say that with the world in the state it is today, who has the time and/or energy to write up a review?? It's not like we are able to go get something new to wear, have our hair and nails done, indulge in a pampering massage before going out to a sweet dinner with the person you've been holed up with for the past HALF OF ONE YEAR!!! Yet here I find myself on a Saturday evening no less, with a little mascara on and a hint of lip gloss, mindlessly looking at other people's dirty underpants, noting the fact that a barely whitish sock had gotten mixed in with "the darks"... and to think I almost said something. I would have had I been able to make eye contact. Yes, I was spending my precious time at SpinCycle - big Saturday night on the town! Almost every washer was spinning, every dryer full. I only saw 1 dryer with an "out of order" sign on it and this place is huge! The craziest thing about it was the fact that it was sparkling clean! No garbage cans overflowing with empty soap containers and not one single dryer sheet dancing around the floor. I was so amazed as I watched people come and go - I qualified for expressing my opinion because I did fifthteen, yes one-five, 15 loads of laundry (evacuation is a b**** on trying to figure out clean from dirty). I was there so long that I had no choice but to use their restrooms and that was it for me! It was cleaner than any restaurant facility almost worthy of the 5 second rule HA HA! Spin Cycle owes its 5 star rating to the hardest worker I've seen in a very long time and her name is.... I It begins with an A,C, or S!!! I will go and find out and report back. I recommend this laundry mat. It is a bit pricy but am happy that my clothes has never gone missing here like other places. I'm not the type to wait next to my machine and usually go get a coffee while the wash cycle does it's thing. Also leaves my clothes clean and smelling fresh with Tide Pods. read more

Like a lot of capitola locals, our place does not have a washer/dryer (or even hookups!) So I have to haul my family's clothes to the laundry every 2 weeks. I've been going here for the last year after switching from another "mat" on bay ave... I always find this place spotless and clean, with most if not all equipment running and in good order. The washers accept cards! Which is the coolest this ever...although the dryers dont.. The staff is always cleaning & darting around the place keeping everything sanitized, and aside from an occasional gruff reprimand for closing dryer doors "too hard" I've always felt, if not invited, at least welcomed. All In all, if you have to do laundry, this is the nicest place. read more

Pooped in my Pants because of employee at Spin Cycle Laundry Lounge in Capitola. Yesterday morning at about 9:00 am, I walked into this laundry and asked the young employee for change of my $20 bill; I then proceeded to a washing machine and put the quarters in and turned the machine on. Within about 3 minutes, I had to rush to their restroom which is available for "Customers Only", of which I am one, to do a poop. I have heart problems from a heart surgery and I'm on several medications which cause me digestive problems and a rush to the toilet. The young employee saw me coming and quickly rushed inside and closed the door......I waited about 4 minutes and knocked on the door, then because I had to go BADLY, asked her to please hurry. There was no response after me knocking and yelling at her at least 4 more times over the next 6 minutes to "please let me in and please hurry" ......"I have to go real bad!...."I'm going to have to poop in my pants!" She gave no response at all. Did she decide that it would be funny for the old guy to wait and poop in his pants? I ended up running outside to the right of the building and pooping by the garbage cans, open for anyone to see me at the time. I confronted her inside a few minutes later when she finally left the restroom and she gave me a stupid lying excuse that the toilet was clogged and she needed to use the plumbers helper.....I told her I was going to contact her boss, but she didn't care, she said.... You don't need to use a plumber's helper for 10 to 15 minutes to unclog a toilet, and she could have just as well opened the door and explained the problem if that had been the case. Given the scenario of COVID-19 and how difficult is is to find a restroom, let alone be able to use it, that is why I do business with Spin Cycle, because they let customers use their restroom. I am enclosing photos of the employee as when I took her photos to send to Next Door, you can see that she at first tried to block me and then she grabbed my phone out of my hand and refused to give it back until I demanded she give it back several seconds later! I would ask that the owner look at their security camera and see the truth of everything I've said within.... I think it is an atrocity that someone, anyone, would treat their customers this way and I will no longer ever do business with them again. read more

This is a well cared for laundromat. Many machines accept credit cards. I would give it 5 stars, except they do not enforce the current County requirement that all customers wear a mask. Some think that wearing a mask over their ears but under their chin is sufficient. Others are not even wearing masks. Not to mention the hours are great, the staff is friendly and works hard. This one lady in particular is cleaning non stop. She's very polite and always smiles and greets me. It's clean here, cuz she is super dedicated to keeping the place nice. There's tons of folding tables that she's constantly wiping down and also free WiFi! At this point i refuse to do laundry anywhere else. Also they have a vending machine with all types of laundry supplies (not just one brand either) and another or for snacks. Thank you Yelp! So I'm from San Jose but I wanted to take my graduation photos by the beach so my gf and I came to Santa Cruz. Last minute I realized the dress shirt I originally packed was damaged so i ended up having to buy a new shirt. Now the problem was having a wrinkled shirt because of the packaging! We already checked out of our hotel so we didn't have an iron or steamer. Went onto Yelp in search for a laundromat so I could splash some water on my shirt and dry it wrinkle-free and Yelp led me to the nicest laundromat I've ever seen! This Laundromat is Great! As an employee of a nearby health club, I use this laundromat to wash and dry extra towels for our towel service. The machines are updated and repaired on time if necessary. **** STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS DO NOT USE******* I had a very long review written out but it was too long to post it so I have to make it short. I have notified all of my friends and family who use this business regularly to stay away, and I recommend for everyone else to do the same. I took my new suit in to be dry cleaned and they lost the pants. The business made no effort to contact me for several weeks, despite my many attempts to get in touch with them. I eventually got in touch with the business owner after 3 weeks and she told me she would replace my suit with a like quality suit. She flipped her story and eventually said her business "could not absorb the cost of an 800$ suit" .... That is not my fault, you lost my pants and ruined my new suit. This saga went on for almost a month (December 10- January 9, 2017/18)... I did not want anything special I literally just wanted them to replace the suit they lost, with a like quality suit. The owner of the business refused and was talking about going to court... Eventually they somehow found my pants after 30 days, so luckily I was able to get them back, but it became pretty obvious that if my pants had not been found, that I was not going to end up having the suit replaced with anything near the designer suit that they lost to begin with. At one point they were trying to replace it with a pair of pants that did not even come close to matching the jacket of my nested suit..There was no offer of compensation of any kind after a month of agony for me. This business clearly does not care about their customers, and if they can not afford the cost of losing something, they should not be in business dealing with expensive clothing. This was a terrible experience, I do believe it is a con, and they have lost thousands of dollars of business between my family and everyone I know. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!
