It basically allows you to tour the sights in the form of a game. The one I did in Philly was around Independence Hall. I had lived near Philly for a few years but had never seen most of these buildings. I will admit, it's actually very expensive for what it is; I think it was $24 for a text message-based scavenger hunt (you have to "buy two tickets" to play, which is just a gimmick to make it seem cheaper than it is); I'm sure you could buy two or three Fodors guides for that much. The whole thing took me about two hours. But other than the price, no complaints. It's a lot of fun. It also makes a good group activity.

Wear comfortable shoes as you'll be doing a lot of walking and use common sense with your clothing if you're doing an outdoor hunt. I've been to a few places in the ballpark of this before (Activate, Level 99). This place has a good amount of rooms, and a good blend of purely physical, and purely mental, so enough to satisfy any range of talents in your group, and flexibly so across rooms. Even with a few other groups in the building, we only had to wait a handful of times, and it was on the order of seconds. I came last time right after opening in October, and this time, many of the games were very much replay-able and fun with a new group! Not sure about coming back more frequently though-- I imagine that I'd have to similarly come back with some time in between or with enough new people to keep it novel enough to be fun. Some games are malfunctioning due to some unruly guests going way too hard, but otherwise, the staff are super helpful and are willing to help out to get games up and running for you again, or to give you tips on games if you're struggling to get a 100 score.
