Let me start by saying, this place is great! We stopped in after visiting the state park near by and we were tired and hungry. Everyone in my family said their food was great. But what I want to talk about is the Chicken Fried Steak (it's so good it has to be capitalized)! I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak sandwich and it is probably the best chicken fried steak I have ever had in my life! It was amazing! On top of the food the service was great - the wait staff was friendly and attentive. We normally visit the Fort Smith part of Arkansas when we come here but I will find a way to get back down to Murfreesboro as soon as I can. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The waiting time is too long and didn't expect to wait for an hour for the food. Wasn't sure what's the reason but the restaurant is not packed. The service is ok like probably you won't be ignored but don't expected to be take care of that good. and the atmosphere is fine. We ordered the basket which included the fried shrimp and the seafood basket which included more seafood. If I have to wait for above an hour for the fried dish then probably we should be notified in the beginning. Maybe I am wrong but seems shouldn't take this long to me. Super slow service!! We came in for lunch on Sunday. Our party of 3 sat down at the same time as another party of 3. The others were greeted quickly. We were not. We ordered when they were already eating salad. By the time we were served salad (after asking for it), the others were long gone. Took us 1 hour 20 minutes for a simple meal. Our order was stuck in the kitchen price behind that of a large party. Food was tasty when it finally arrived. Place is attractive and looks like live music at times. The wait staff were really friendly and prompt. The live music was nice but a little loud to try to have a conversation. All 7 people at my table enjoyed their meals. Personally, the boiled shrimp dinner was great. I don't care for cocktail sauce in general so I asked for melted better. It was wonderful. The Feed Bin Cafe Was a easy 10 out of 10 for my family and I. The shrimp, gumbo, pork chops, fried green beans, and burgers are all good. We also were lucky enough to meet the owner. He took some time to sing some country music while we were there. If great food, friendly staff, the best sweet tea, and a great owner/country singer sounds like a great place to you, your right it is. We were staying at the state park and saw this little gem when we were going through the town. we decided to give it a try and so glad we did. The service was the best i've had in over two years of sinning out. the food was EXCELLENT!!! I had the crawfish boil which was fantastic i also had a bowl of gumbo and it was delicious!!!!! We also ordered the onion rings which were very good. my wife had the seafood platter and said it was just excellent- she loved the catfish and the crab cake! i had strawberry cream pie for dessert and it was very good. if you're in the area you MUST a try this restaurant! read more

Stopped here after leaving the Crater of Diamonds Park, obviously it's the first food place you see. So way to go on having overpriced food on small portions. Not sure if there's a "Cajun" theme going on, but the po boy my fiancé (from Louisiana) had was small. I had the Natchitoches meat pies (appetizer) and they were tiny! They were $7.95! We both had a sweet tea that was not sweet, the sweetener packets didn't help much either. So we paid $29 for a lunch with not much food and not sweet tea. No napkins when seated, had to ask for some. On the plus side, we sat outside in the town square so to speak of the cute/historic town of Murphreesboro. read more

We were in town for a few days during Thanksgiving week visiting Crater of Diamonds State Park. On our last night, we trusted the Yelp reviews for Feed Bin and stopped in for dinner. The place is super cute inside and was decorated for Christmas. There was a stage up front but the live music is only on weekends. That was fine because with the excellent food, we didn't need entertainment! We were greeted promptly by a friendly server and when we had lots of questions about the menu, she called over the owner to answer our questions and make recommendations. The food was all Cajun and it was absolutely amazing. We talked to another couple who lived nearby and they said they came by a few times a week to eat there and I can a absolutely see why! We had planned on having the beignets and bread pudding for dessert, but after cleaning our dinner plates, we opted for just one dessert. We went with the owner's recommendation and got the Bread Pudding, which was delicious. If you are in the area, definitely stop and eat here! read more

Passing through from a long cold day diamond mining and we stumbled upon this gem. Really impressed with the taste of everything. Only suggestion is that the chef label and name the seasoning. So while looking for a guy to interview in this tiny little blink ya miss it town, we saw this place. They had a skeleton waiting on the bench outside so you know a good time is in store inside. In a pretty cool little corner strip off the highway, it looked a hipster trendy place you'd see in the cool parts of a big city. Freakin surreal. When u pass the chillin skeleton you're greeted with a stand by the door with a menu. The menu doubles as a warning signal that you better have brought your wallet, in case your broke and need to leave without being embarrassed. Inside is cool continues the millennium hipster theme. Loud music playing Dire Straits. Miss Thing came out and brought the most delicious soft fluffy golden bread with a cinnamon butter. Freaking fantastic stuff there. Miss Thang came back with sodas in cute little Bass mason jars continuing the hip theme. I ordered the Kelly's C or something like that. It was 1/2 pound (not really) Angus Beef with lettuce glazed onions and a fried egg and cheese. And fries. Fries looked and tasted like seasoned fries out of a bag. The burger was dry and flavorless and not a 1/2 pound anymore after dehydration of the juices. But the bun was toasted so I had that going for me. In all it was massively over priced and not very good at all. My buddy had the Catfish and Brussels and said they were terrific. So it regains a star to 3. Working nearby and found this place. Very impressed given its location, small rural town. I had been eating at gas stations which had surprisingly good food as well. The staff were friendly and attentive; service was generally good. I had the crab cake poboy and a cup of gumbo. The crab cakes had little flavor, though the sandwich was topped well. It seemed that the bun for the poboy was stale, but it may have just been under grilled. The gumbo was a little disappointing. It had a good flavor, but was lukewarm. There was way too much white rice for my taste; I would have preferred the rice to be served on the side. The prices were a little steep for the amount served, in my opinion. The decor and ambiance were very nice. The place has lots of potential! I look forward to returning once they've hit their groove!
