Sorry, but when we come in WEEKLY and buy the exact same items, yet get charged a different amount every single time & then when we finally ask for a receipt for once to discover you over charged us you want to claim we somehow hid the "extra item". You searched your database to find my personal phone number to call to yelling at us & refusing to even allow us to speak. The second we'd try to say anything you'd hang up like a child. Your manager needs some serious training on proper customer service & how to actually talk AND listen to people. Also, learn to properly label your animals. just like the bamboo I called you out on before, that "banana spider" you have in there does not carry the spider morph. it is just a plain, single gene banana. When we pointed it out to one of your associates last week when we were in, he told us "yeah, we know, but we think it has a "wobble" so we labeled it as spider too. That's not how that works! Stop ripping people off & then yelling at them when your called out on it. Your manager needs to put her narcissism to the side, as someone who has worked retail management for over 10 years myself, I could never imagine telling a loyal customer who shops at my establishment multiple times a month, every month, for over 5 years now to never return rather than just accept that maybe my sales associate made a mistake. You are a grown, beyond middle aged woman, who acted like a toddler. Learn proper customer resolution skills!

They just have a small waiting room and a lot of people getting their pets immunized. You may have to wait about 10 minutes longer than your appointment and that is nothing. They are fast, efficient and absolutely amazing to work with. Even when you have a big, big dog that is the biggest baby. So what are you waiting for, go make your appointment. It is easy and so worth it and it saves you money.

The dog desperately needs to be spayed, so I have followed the protocol online to get an appointment. I gotten online the second spay appointments open on the first of every month. I've been doing it for three months with no success. This month, I actually got through the appointment process and found an open spot. YAY!! But when I got to the last step, their webpage glitched, as it often does, and I had to start over. So, I'm that apparent 30 second timeframe, there were no more appointments left, including the one I had just tried to reserve. I immediately called and left a message, hoping they could help and the message I got was basically, "too bad so sad, have a better day." As a public service that purports to want to help manage the stray population, and care for animals, their policies and lack of willingness to help seems a lot more likely to lead to a box of unwanted puppies being left at their doorstep than anything else. We will likely help our daughter figure it out, but many are not in the position to do that. I wonder how many people who dropped off of those sad eyed puppies on their website did their best to get help in the first place?

Have been coming to this establishment since it was in its previous location. Was on a job…read moreassignment in the area and went to check out the store. Long story (and assignment), but left town with a hand fed baby African Grey parrot! Had been a big dream; never thought it would happen. Going on twenty years later, he is still doing well. He has led quite the unexpected life. He travels all over the country (and loves it.) He has adapted well to everything. Usually with good cheer and a sense of adventure. I am convinced that is due to how well socialized he was when he was little -- and hand-raised by Jo. This is such a unique place. A store, yes, but more a baby parrot haven. They are raised like children. And it shows. You would like to purchase a parrot? Not so fast. You will be kindly, unobtrusively, but thoroughly checked out. Do you know what you are doing? Getting in to? Understand the attention and resource investments? For your lifetime (likely)? Does the parrot like you? (Really, the parrot will decide.) They might refuse to let you leave with one of their babies. Understand this transaction is taken that seriously -- before you go here. Otherwise, the store itself has everything imaginable parrot related. Questions will receive knowledgeable answers. I even got my veterinary referral from Jo. It is really hard to find a good avian vet. (We're still going there. Even if we have to drive hours to get there. Worth it.) The store has everything you could need for a parrot. Cages in every size and shape. So many toys -- screened for safety. Any healthy parrot food. There are play nets and exercise trees. And ..... there are baby birds. Jo finds responsible, local breeders who maybe have one or two breeding pairs of parrots. She finishes the hand feeding at the store and socializes the baby birds. I am convinced this is why Dorian has never plucked, screamed, bitten, any of the usual parrot behavior challenges. He is a cuddly, curious, adventurous soul. Jo's Exotic Birds is a serious parrot place. Just understand that the parrot's interests are respected here. Outcomes are reliably better that way.
