This shop totally blew my mind! I dropped by on a whim because I was curious to see what they sold…read morehere, as there was a big Parrot Stars truck in the lot. I stopped in and was surprised to see how exceptionally neat and well-organized this store was upon entering. There were plenty of bird cages and bird toys, in addition to various types of bird food. Not a thing was out of place. My favorite part of this store, however, was the bird room! There is an expansive space here where their available birds are currently residing. They have a wide variety of exotic and beautiful birds here, including budgies, cockatiels, macaws, umbrella cockatoos, and so many more. There are more that one in each variety. The birds are very well behaved (save for one who was doing his thing and squawking loudly every few seconds, lol) and lovely to admire. A pair of large parrots were out in the open and one lady pat one--which it looked like it enjoyed! I walked by one of the cages to admire another bird that was chattering away and I discovered that he could wave every time I said "Hi!" How cool! This location also offers boarding for birds in case you are away for a while. They have a separate space in the back entrance for the boarding area. The shop requires you to use hand sanitizer upon entering and to wear a mask. I approve! Overall, I can tell that these are some healthy birds that have received exceptional care. I've only had budgies in the past and noticed immediately how much larger, healthier, and sturdier their supply of budgies looked in comparison to the small, occasionally sickly, ones I see at Petsmart, for example. I definitely anticipate buying a budgie here in the near future and am hopeful that all of the amazing birds here find happy homes soon!

It's a cool store, but the thing is, the bird are NOT hand-tamed. I just assumed for all their bragging and all the money I paid that the bird was hand-tamed. Hand-taming takes work and skills I probably don't have. It is also hard to hand-tame a bird after it is a baby. And it was not a baby; it was ten months old. It was not used to being held by people. It was in a cage with many other birds. I was led to believe differently. Now I have a bird who does not like people. I am not bringing him back; I am going to give him a good life. But this is not what I expected (or paid for). My advice is that you find a local breeder and get a bird who bonds with people.

At long last I found the perfect place for my birds. Having to move to Australia for work was an…read moreexciting and life changing event for me, but that meant that I had to find the right care for my little ones. A friend recommended GCCBC. They are a volunteer organization that care for and provide adoption and boarding services for birds. I have not gone anywhere else since. For my birds meeting Diane and team and the extended family of birds was love at first sight. After my travels, I noticed that my birds were the happiest I have ever found them. This place is a life saver not only for the abandoned and orphaned birds but also for for all of us that to trust just anyone our birds. I consider the place home away from home for Sona and Danae and a true gift for my family.

Honestly really sad place, probably close to 200 birds that will mostly all die still there because…read morethey are sloppy with adoptions. Had us look at birds. First one we liked then they told us someone beat us to put in an application, ok fine. They introduced us to another bird they said a little girl was interested but they told her no because they don't adopt to children. We visit the bird 3 times, they let us know he's exotic so he going to be more than a regular conure and we were ok with that. 5 hours in collective driving for us to have to call back numerous times over almost 3 months for them to tell us they did end up approving the little girl but we could still have the first bird we were looking at because his adoption fell through. They told us they would price match for us, that is ridiculous. Why would the adoption fee be the same for the "exotic" one. I'm reading his paper work it says his cage was donated with him but they asked for an additional 150 for a pre used cage I could get brand new for 110. They looked at two young girls and thought they could scam us. Absolutely pathetic, in a world where people really would just prefer to shop why would you make the adoption process like this?we tried so hard to home one of their birds and they treated us like shit. They also definitely made some comments about me and my partner. It's 2026 not good to be homophobic
