But miraculously it arrived in Maui, but bc of the return to sender note it was almost going to be sent back. Another deliver just two weeks ago. Mind you I figured improvements have been made. NOPE. My package said delivered at 10:00am. It was already 3:00 pm. Picture the front of my house. Left side has cars and two gates in the fence. Front door is clearly visible and open because someone is always home. Now the right side of the house has a narrow gate full of weeds and impassable. Now guess where the FedEx driver has delivered (thrown over the fence because the gate is difficult to open) not one but TWO separate orders with one even lying about the name on the signature required. Terrible service. Package was late and supposedly sitting on Oahu for 5 days. Customer service said they would look into it and call me back with an update, but no call for 3 days, then tracking said it would be delivered today by 2:00pm. I know it's not the fault of this particular office that my delivery was 1 day later than promised, but at least the female who delivered it on Saturday 9/26/15 in the Kahului area could've had some sort of smile; or even a fake smirk? Not even a simple "hello." I'm not asking for a butt-kissing like I'm staying at the Four Seasons, but just common, everyday courtesy. If anyone is so unhappy at their job, QUIT! If I could give negative stars, I would! My package has been sitting in this office for over a week with very time sensitive and important documents. I've called every day for the week asking why it's not leaving the facility and they just keep telling me it will come so I sit at home all day since I have to be home to sign for it and every day they've assured me it would come , it hasn't. At one point they even dispatched it and told me it would be there between 2:30 and 8:30 after waiting from 8-5 , it left the facility and went back. They never even tried to deliver it. Every time I speak with customer service they just tell me the same things and just put me on hold. read more

I've been called away before, when I should have waited for the refrigerated package to come and FedEx drivers were SO careful to make sure I got my package anyway. Two times, our driver, over the last 4 years, has come back with my package to make sure I got it. They have saved my bacon more than once. FedEx rocks!! read more

You either have to wait another dull day for us to decide when we want to deliver it you or you can drive another 40 mins to our office so we can do this all over again. Your choice sir! Gonna use ONLY UPS after today's problem getting past the FedEx phone robo-operator to reach a REAL PERSON. I live in Canada, but have my GP in the states. He uses a GREAT Virginia LAB with fantastic analysis of blood. And with my annual exam scheduled in November, we thought it would be good to draw in advance while I am on vacation in Maui. Hence, the lab sent me a kit with a prepaid FedEx label. In trying to get just two simple questions answered I discovered how poor FedEx is in customer service. FedEx is spectacularly DIFFICULT to work with if you need any special questions answered by the local FedEx shipping facility. I am trying to set up a blood sample shipment from Maui to Virginia and had questions about the time of delivery and the ice pack and whether or not they could provide any dry ice. Should I pay more to upgrade the priority of the prepaid shipment FedEx shipment label the Virginia lab sent to me? Tomorrow is Wednesday and I do not want my sample to sit over the weekend since the VA lab sent me just a small ice pack for the tirp. FedEx lists half a dozen "locations" online in Maui, but these are just drop off places. I visited one "FedEx office" and called another, but they are NOT a "FedEx office"--just drop off places--and they knew NOTHING whatsoever about the issues of shipping blood, ice, time it takes with choice of priorities to get to Virginia. They all said to go to the FedEx shipment center--which I did, but it was CLOSED, notwithstanding a webpage that said it was "open 24 hours". So today I tried to call them. But they hide their phone number, and all you can get is the 1-800 number with a recorded voice and the "always-a-hassle robo-operator". I clicked #1 to "make arrangements for a shipment" but after pushing that button the good old robo-operator wanted me to punch in my FedEx number--which, being just a one-time shipper, I did not have--nor did it show up on the prepaid FedEx label I got from the lab. After five minutes of frustration I FINALLY got to a real person and she put me on hold to see if that FedEx shipment center staffed with FedEx employees had an outside number. And after four minutes on hold the line went to dial tone. UGH--I am now stuck with giving up half a day of our vacation to go IN PERSON to Kahului to the FedEx office and get my answers that should be readily available on the phone--or online. I wrote to the lab in Virginia to cease and desist from sending prepaid FedEx labels and instead switch to UPS. I have used UPS a number of times and ALWAYS enjoyed good service and they have a REAL PERSON to answer their phones at their shipment centers. Richard Stocking Maui read more

Of course, wait at home all day for the fed ex truck, leave for a few minutes, come back home, missed the truck by ten minutes. Went to the Fed ex center before they closed thinking I could catch the truck upon its return, explained my situation to the lady at the desk. She was very empathetic, sent a message to the driver to attempt delivery again today before returning to base. Left the Fed Ex center to go back home to wait, got a call that the driver returned early not even five minutes after I left. She went out of her way to be sure I got my package today. Really appreciate the extra effort she went thru, went straight back and got my package. So thankful to this lady, she really didn't have to do it with the amount of packages going in and out of that place, she didn't have to care, but she did, especially at pau hana time. *added that last, final fifth star bc that's how much I appreciate it * read more
