The name makes it sound like a government cafeteria, but it actually refers to a small town somewhere in Australia. I'm still not sure how that place pertains to Spain, but the cafe in Sitges is part of the Federal chain, one of seven in the country. Close to the beach, this bustling cafe was just across the street from our hotel, so it was easy to start our day here.
Their "Earlier" menu was chock full of goodies from açaí bowls to breakfast plates to burgers. Jamie W had the 10,5€ Morning Vegan Burger, a Beyond Meat patty encased in a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, Spanish onion, and chipotle aioli. It came with a side salad and a ramekin of sweet potato mash (photo: https://yelp.to/5aPDsfdKx3). The meat adjacent option always concerned me, but Jamie really liked it.
The mash was quite delicious. I indulged myself and ordered the 8,9€ Fluffy Pancakes which was topped with banana, marscarpone, maple syrup, and hazelnut praline (photo: https://yelp.to/g7xNbWnFD4). Needless to say, it was a decadent, calorific delight. The 2€ Americano was the only response I had to the intense sugar rush (photo: https://yelp.to/kl7wONxiXG).
