Red Velvet at the end of Passeig la Ribera, near the iconic church and with a great view of Sitges yacht club and its beach. It used to be the Argentine restaurant Margarita and doesn't feel much different. It does a fairly standard menu del dia at a seafront price (€14). Nice at anytime but it scores highest for a great Full English for those mornings of culinary home sickness. More impressive is that it does equally good vegan and gluten free versions at no extra cost. It has a quiet beach-type feel outside with a cool stylish interior. Great place to eat or chill out.

Vegan burger, wedge fries, garbanzo bean salad.

Before you roll your eyes thinking this will be one of my dismissive reviews, I want to confess Jamie W and I had satisfying bites here when we were seeking a lighter bite for lunch and a late night latte after barhopping. It's a spacious cafe on one of Sitges' main pedestrian arteries, Carrer Marques Montroig. Beyond the lure of terrace seating, it has the added convenience of being open from 8:30AM to midnight and 2AM on weekends. Their menu is quite broad with a focus on familiar comfort foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We came here to have salads, and they have them for 8,7€ each. Jamie had the Spinach which included jamon serrano, parmesan, and walnuts (Photo 9), while I went with the Caesar which had chicken and parmesan (Photo 8). They were both hearty portions well executed. We decided to indulge and have 2,2€ Cafe Leches (Photo 6) but not before sharing a big 6,2€ slice of Apple Pie served à la mode with vanilla ice cream, cinnamon, toffee, and whipped cream (Photo 7). They're locally known for the wide variety of their baked goods (Photo 2), so we just felt a need to have dessert. On another evening, we returned to satisfy our need for something decadent yet again. FOOD - 4 stars...casual eats in American-size portions, the baked sweets are tasty AMBIANCE - 4 stars...inviting terrace seating, usually pretty busy in here SERVICE - 4 stars...pretty efficient and open late TOTAL - 4 stars...a bustling, all-day hub for light bites or heavier indulgences RELATED - Exploring Sitges? Montroig also has open air tables in the back, plus seating rows on the street front. We avoided the front since that's where the smokers sit and the smell wafts inside. The breakfast menu is extensive with every kind of egg option, breakfast style and espresso coffee choice imaginable. You'll be sure to find something on the menu. I chose the English Breakfast one and it is a big breakfast. Imagine American Breakfast without hash browns but with baked beans and tomato slice. I just got the American the next time. Both were nothing special, just basic. Friends liked their cold cereal and fruit offerings. Service was off both times as the young servers didn't come by enough, forgot to bring requested items or even forgot orders. Food took forever to arrive, and not all at the same time. We were on holiday and really had nowhere to rush off to anyway.

The staff here are super friendly and really took care of us. The price here is a bit expensive with dishes ranging from €3 - €10 each.they have a deal on where you can get a cocktail and 4 tapas dishes for €30. Happy hour happens between 4pm and 7pm daily with mojitos costing €7. Overall this was a great venue to have some lunch and a hangover cure. Go here and try out the mimosas.

We stumbled up the street and was greeted by a smiley young man telling us that the best place to go for Saturday morning brunch was Soi 33. After no resistance whatsoever, we walked towards it and realised it was the sky bar above our favourite Beach House (see previous reviews). A sigh of relief was followed by a sigh of exhaustion as we walked up three very steep flights of stairs to the roof but was worth it for the views. The brunch menu is great (and offers mimosa lovers a great deal of unlimited mimosas for €20!!!) After waiting over 15 mins for drink orders to be taken (poor given only one other table taken in the place) and then a further 30 mins for our bacon and egg with avocado sandwiches to arrive, it's a good job they were enjoyable. We ordered some sticky wings too (did I tell you we were hungover and hungry) that didn't arrive for a further 10 mins, we were far from impressed. The food was very good but, with very small slate plates to host the food, it feels a bit awkward to eat it (cool and trendy) but brunch people wanting food and HOTD drinks don't need fuss. More importantly however, people don't want to pay premium rates for venue and food and have to wait an hour for food. The staff were apologetic and comped a round of soft drinks, but nonetheless, it needs to go a long way to beat it's downstairs neighbours. Very disappointed but an experience!
