At the end of November 2023 Feather & Flour announced some changes to their restaurant starting December 2024. At that time they put their brunch service on hold to focus on a pre-fixe dinner service menu. As someone who has previously dined with them for their special dinner service I was excited for this change. Even though I love their brunch service I am a sucker for a good pre-fixe menu. In January of 2024 I joined them for their pre fixe dinner experience & it was absolutely amazing. I took my mother for her bday & she was also extremely impressed. Their menu was 3 courses for $60 with an optional beer ($18) or wine ($30) pairing add on. If you do not want to do a pairing you can order wine/beer by the glass, or one of their creative wine spirit based cocktails. I live & die by their espresso martini. It's one of my favorites in the state. The included courses are an appetizer, soup or salad, and an entree. Each category has 3 options to choose from with options in mind for vegetarians, GF & dairy-free. The menu also includes additional add ons of sharing plates, and desserts. The menu options rotate frequently with availability of product so there will always be new dishes to try. The courses were interesting, beautifully plated, and most importantly delicious. We added on the oysters with a lemon champagne mignonette, and the GF vanilla blueberry cake with lemon curd & meringue. For the first course we had the steak caprese & Brie wedge, 2nd course was a kale Caesar & tomato-squash soup, 3rd course was Bristol Bay sockeye & beef tenderloin. Menu picture included in last photo for descriptions. I think this prix fixe dinner service is very fairly priced, and we enjoyed our experience. Their dinner service is now a la carte, but definitely still worth checking out. Brunch also returned in spring of 2024 & continues on through winter. It's cool to see this spot finding their stride & providing a much needed experience in the valley. I can honestly say have never had a bad item at this restaurant, and it's one of my top 5 in south central. If you've never gone to Feather & Flour you are seriously missing out on a culinary gem. Go try their dinner service!

The water glasses look like: A. candle holders B. Aunt Edna's rocks glass C. Grandma Nancy's fine china D. All of the above On my first visit, I was surprised with all the adornments. On the second visit, I expected this, and I was still very impressed with the presentation. The presentation was only out-distanced by the mixture of flavors. Very tasty. The menu was thoughtful and told a story of the restaurant and the month of August. Very cool! Definitely busy and maybe a little "packed" but a delightful second visit.

I finally made my way to Feather & Flour and it lived up to the hype! It is so cute inside and everyone was very friendly. We started with drinks (wild rose white mocha and blackberry London fog) and the gluten free coffee cake. Both were delicious. My friend got the Bubble & Squeak and loved it. The pesto on it was amazing. I got the Biscuits & Gravy which was so flavorful. I love how everything was garnished with herbs and flowers, very nice touch. We're already planning our next visit!

Finally had the opportunity to have brunch at Feather & Flour and it was worth the drive from Anchorage. Make sure to make reservations before heading out. The menu is short and sweet with locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant itself is located in downtown Palmer in a cute converted 1950s house. There is very limited seating that provides a intimate setting. We split the espresso parfait and it was SO GOOD. The yogurt was light and fresh and it paired perfectly with the rich chocolate granola, espresso, and brittle. Everything was presented beautifully. It was a great brunch outing. I'll definitely be back to try other items off the menu.

I have been dying to go here and it did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was excellent, and the specialty London fog tea I had was delightful. I would definitely recommend this spot for brunch, and I can't wait to try dinner as well!

Without question, this was the best place my family dined at throughout several cities we visited in Alaska. Service was fast and friendly. Vibes are modern, clean, and relaxed with a touch of artistic flair. The menu, while a bit small, showcases vegetarian and vegan options, as well as carnivorous ones. Everything tasted fresh, and my husband even had the option to get scrambled eggs even though the menu listed the eggs as being poached or fried (can't remember and don't have a photo of the menu). The bread that accompanied my soup was crisp and buttery. Wished we had returned when we were driving from Denali to Seward. Next time! Also, there are some cute postcards at the front free to patrons!

Can we add another star ? standing ovations to the chef ‍ This place is amazing! I was there yesterday and it was so good that I had to go back and get me some breakfast. Yesterday I had the panini and it was very delicious. The flavor from the balsamic vinegar, the veggies just meshed very well. This morning I had the arepas and it was so good! I did add the bacon which took the dish to the next level. If you are in the are and you want some quality farm to the table deliciousness, stop by and indulge. The restaurant has a lot of natural lighting and it is very open. Make sure you have reservations as they have a small amount of sitting and they are busy.

First time here. We came in for Sunday brunch, ordered the breakfast - eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and small fruit cup. First, the water was cucumber water, very refreshing! I had scrambled eggs, they were the best I have had out in quite some time. The toast, I'm sure the bread was home made, as well as the smattering of jam that accompanied it. Servers are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Some of the finest food you'll find in the Anchorage area and the outskirts towns. This restaurant is the real deal fine dining restaurant with affordable prices. The staff is extremely welcoming and the food is hand crafted. We left full and were amazed by the extreme attention to detail the chef took to making the food unique to the area. Almost all the ingredients were sourced from the local area and the wine was out of this world. The views from the table overlook the snow capped mountains and wildlife is everywhere.

I came up to my favorite state and my friend made us a reservation for Sunday brunch. She was told it's a popular restaurant and best to have a reservation so no wait. I started with the Knik Fog to drink and although I did not take a photo of it, I highly recommend it. The mint flavor was delicious with the green tea. We got the bread and spread to snack on (and take home). The bread was delicious with a crunch to the outside. The spread had granola on top of a cinnamon spread i believe. We ended up getting two entrees and splitting them. The orange cardamon waffle had great flavor without being overly sweet at all. My favorite was the prosciutto and ricotta though. Delicious flavor and we opted for half with lox and either way you cannot go wrong. The view from the back room with the mountains elevated brunch even more.

Not only did Palmer need a place like this, Anchorage needs MORE places like this! TLDR: this is your textbook farm-to-table/twee/hipster/stark-white-walls-in-reclaimed-old-timey house brunch eatery. And I don't say that to sound dismissive. My tone might sound snarky, but it ain't meant to be. I LOVE places like this. Those are the types of places that a city like Portland (where I used to live) might have a few dozen of but...are extremely rare up here in the 49th. (the only others that come to mind are:Girdwood Picnic Club (RIP) and Spoonline, also in Girdwood. I can think of some coffee shops that tick most of these boxes but then miserably fail when it comes to food options.) So, I guess, in Alaska, places like this aren't textbook at all. I've already described the ambiance, but the food and service were also excellent. I wouldn't recommend getting what I got though. I got the classic breakfast, and it was quite expensive and quite pathetic looking (but was very tasty). Especially when compared to Abbey's gorgeous, enormous chicken sandwich. What they really seem to execute at an insanely high level is anything involving sweets or baked goods. The toast and jam, for example, were the best parts of my meal, by far! My only negative comment is that this place seems to be obsessed with having a reservation. The hosts debated for 3 minutes where to seat us (after we told them we didn't have one) and ultimately decided to seat us at an open two-top that was about 10-feet from the host platform. There were tons of empty tables. Business owners! You LOSE LOTS OF MONEY when you go (nearly) reservation-only! WHY do you do this? So, dear reader, if you want guaranteed seating here, it might be best to make a reservation.

Great food! Excellent service and super relaxing/beautiful ambience. I would definitely highly recommend this establishment. Will come back for breakfast for sure. The oysters were superb!

Chocolate sourdough bread with a cookies and cream butter/spread. Ridiculous in the best way possible.

I can't express my affection for this little restaurant. So much thought has been invested in this place and it has paid off. The chocolate sourdough bread was like the adulting version of a fudge pop tart. So good. Caprese salad, tomato soup, cocktails exceptional... support this local loving restaurant. It is a good vibe, delectable eats, and friendly service. Get yourself some of this!

Lots of booths and tables, quite a big dining room. It's not fancy. But it's always busy. It's very affordable. We often used to come for just a piece of pie, and they had a delicious blueberry pie, which unfortunately wasn't offered the other night when I was there. I don't care too much for banana cream this or chocolate chess that - they're just too sweet for me, I'm not that much of a dessert person. I was sort of hoping they might have pumpkin pie, as it's almost that time but they didn't have any. I try to have it at least once or twice in fall. I went for the least offensive option which in this case was apple pie. I went for a la mode, and as the server had trouble understanding my accent (happens a lot) I gave her my best American accent of a la mode, which made her laugh. I googled why having ice cream on your pie is called a la mode, because apparently, USA is the only country that uses this term anymore. A la mode, literally translates to in the fashion. A strange term to describe ice cream on your pie. Anyway, I don't know why I got it, as I don't really like solid ice cream, I like it when it gets melty, or to be honest, I would rather have had heavy cream, but rarely does a restaurant or cafe offer that as an option, like you'd get in England. The pie came, it was huge, and there was a half gallon of ice cream on it. I gave it to husband, and he put it on top of his cheesecake, after scraping off the whipped cream, and giving that to me. This was whipped cream from a can I believe, as it's very aerated. The pie was pretty good and nicely spiced with cinnamon, which husband objected to. He said it had a little too much in, but I liked it. One of the strangest things about the menu - which is pretty extensive by the way, are the prices. There are no round numbers, and the cents are never the same either. I assume this is because of the sales tax? Like one thing might be $4.33, then something else will be $7.59 so that when they ring it up and add the sales tax, it comes out at a nice round number? Is that right? Anyway, no complaints, you can always get a seat, service is prompt and friendly, and there's great views from the window seats.
