Taste on main - what a wonderful place to dine…read more How many times we have driven past it and never noticed it and today we were looking for somewhere different. We walked into a lovely atmosphere with live music (youth acoustic guitar) going. Slightly hipster atmosphere and lovely healthy options mixed in with your standard breakfast and light dining fare. We had full table service which is an unexpected bonus in a cafe. I had the pumpkin soup and my husband had a hotdog. To drink we had a jungle beat smoothie (kale, spinach, dates, walnuts etc ect) and a chocolate thick shake. There was a fairly long wait but the staff were very apologetic and they seemed fairly overwhelmed by the amount of people in there - not sure if it's usually that busy. The time flew by with the acoustic guitar and singing keeping us entertained and even lulled the 5mo baby to sleep! Soup was lovely with beautiful hot buttered roll. Hot dog was larger than your usual hot dog. My smoothie was insane and I loved it so much highly recommended. We will be back. Thank you.

The house made iced coffee is everything they should be. The great real coffee taste with a large scoop of ice cream on it. The service is always friendly and welcoming, the music never to loud. There's usually only 2 ppl working so sometimes it takes a bit longer to get your food. But the wait is well worth it for the quality and the service.

A long wait for poor quality food and servers who did not apologise nor check on our table…read more We made a reservation on Saturday, 7 January, for 630pm. We showed up early, there were four other tables, but they were doing a reasonable takeaway trade. It took us an hour to get our food - other tables were also delayed, and not happy about it. When we did get our food, it was awful. The frying oil must have been too cold because anything deep-fried was soggy. The lemon sauce for the lemon chicken tasted like it came from a jar - the bottom of the jar. The sambal prawns had nice prawns, but the sauce tasted like it hadn't simmered long enough. The noodle dish barely had any noodles (it was if they ran out). Neither of the servers checked to see if we had enjoyed our food, nor during our hour-long wait did they apologise or explain the delay. I brought the lemon chicken up to show we had only had one mouthful and that we weren't going to pay for it. The chef was loudly dismissive, and the servers didn't apologise, but they did take it off our bill after making us wait while they added things up by hand (their systems are as tired and dated as their décor - I appreciate kitsch, but things were tired and paint was peeling).

Only giving this two stars because we had a very ordinary experience tonight. I'm sure it's not…read moretypical and we have eaten here before and although loud has been enjoyable. We didnt have s booking so they sat us on a random table in the walkway with none of the table settings or cutlery etc, later they moved us to a nicer table. The staff were lovely and friendly (one of the reasons they get two stars) I was a bit disappointed that of the two soups of the day neither were vegetarian. So I opted for the one vegetarian main meal of lentil patty. Hubby of course had the chicken schnitzel. Now, we could not talk to each other and the baby was going nuts because it was just so loud in there. When our food did come my blood pressure was so high from all the noise I gulped it down! We were forgotten about and given no bread with our meals which was a real dampener and hubby's schnitzel came with a free hair. Good points - Friendly staff Food was worth what you pay Bad points - No bread NOISE!!!! Hair in food Terrible car park Vegetarian options limited ESP if gluten free. Had we been able to relax and enjoy the meal it probably wasn't so bad as it was I barely tasted it because I had to take the baby out of there.

We had 5 star excellent service here…read more When we walked in a lovely gentleman was there to greet us and usher us to a table - taking into consideration the little whining baby we had with us he offered us a high chair and sat us at a larger accommodating table. After a complimentary bowl of prawn crackers for hubby, we ordered drinks (wine and some table water) which came quick smart and we ordered our dinner. Mixed veg and spring rolls for me, and honey chicken and rice for hubby (baby just gets to watch on) My food was amazing and the $10 carafe of wine was very enjoyable. The whole way through we had lovely service and they checked to make sure our food was satisfactory etc a few times. The man even stopped to smile and wave at the baby. Our dishes were removed post haste and hubby was given a take away container to take the rest of his home. Now for the best part!! Deep fried ice cream - can't go past it - I will let you check the photos to decide. Over all an amazing experience - good service always wins!!

We went last night to catch up with my parents who live in the area. After a quick, and somewhat shocked, scan of the menu I noticed two things: 1. They have upped their prices to a ridiculous level at $23 for a king prawn and veg dish or $19 for lemon chicken. This is more than most places in town. I don't mind paying for good Chinese, but this is definitely not that. 2. The banquets represent the best value by far with soup, entrees, mains and desserts. The banquets start from around $30 per head. We selected the CC banquet and the nicest thing was the ice cream. The soup was bright yellow and lacking flavour. The satay sticks were dry. The king prawns in mixed vegetables were quite OK, as was the lemon chicken. On to the service. It was very good and there was always someone around to help. But unfortunately the food lets this place down.
