This place is absolutely wonderful. What attracted me here was the fond reviews I've red over…read moreGoogle for this place. So after struggling to find a decent Chinese restaurant in the berbs, I did have high expectations for this gem. Although the street appeal probably isn't anything to woo at, and inside is a tad bit dated, yet is still humble in a family restaurant kind of way. I feel it may have been the owners who were working the front of house, and they were both lovely. They clearly have been in the business a while and did a good job and making us feel comfortable, and giving us a little giggle as well. The menu had heaps of choose from. Seemed as if there were a few extra options compared to other basic Chinese restaurants, including a traditional and western dessert menu. I had the Chicken Satay dish off the chef special menu. It was amazing. The sauce was flavoursome and certainly didn't seem like out of a jar type of thing. It was served with broccoli pieces as well as a little burning flame in the middle of the plate. My partner had the Sizzling Steak Mongolian style dish and the pieces were tender and juicy, with lovely sweet and tangy Mongolian flavours through-out. The plate was also served with vegetables. I love this place. It's my new found gem. I've been searching a while for a nice place to grab some quality Chinese food, and I think I've found my stop. This place isn't anything designer or high-end perhaps, but it still possess a charming old-school look and humble home-style meals, which is something I look when dining at Asian restaurants in the berbs.

The staff is just about as friendly as you can get.. Service was quick and prices where very good. Food was good, I have had better but it's defiantly the best Chinese food in the area. My son has asked me if we can eat there again every night since trying the place. This will become our local Chinese takeaway from now on.

We had 5 star excellent service here…read more When we walked in a lovely gentleman was there to greet us and usher us to a table - taking into consideration the little whining baby we had with us he offered us a high chair and sat us at a larger accommodating table. After a complimentary bowl of prawn crackers for hubby, we ordered drinks (wine and some table water) which came quick smart and we ordered our dinner. Mixed veg and spring rolls for me, and honey chicken and rice for hubby (baby just gets to watch on) My food was amazing and the $10 carafe of wine was very enjoyable. The whole way through we had lovely service and they checked to make sure our food was satisfactory etc a few times. The man even stopped to smile and wave at the baby. Our dishes were removed post haste and hubby was given a take away container to take the rest of his home. Now for the best part!! Deep fried ice cream - can't go past it - I will let you check the photos to decide. Over all an amazing experience - good service always wins!!

Hmmn.. This is a tough one to review. I've read the other reviews and I'm not sure we are at the…read moresame place. Saying that, it did used to be better. Anyway, back to the latest visit. We went last night to catch up with my parents who live in the area. After a quick, and somewhat shocked, scan of the menu I noticed two things: 1. They have upped their prices to a ridiculous level at $23 for a king prawn and veg dish or $19 for lemon chicken. This is more than most places in town. I don't mind paying for good Chinese, but this is definitely not that. 2. The banquets represent the best value by far with soup, entrees, mains and desserts. The banquets start from around $30 per head. We selected the CC banquet and the nicest thing was the ice cream. The soup was bright yellow and lacking flavour. The satay sticks were dry. The king prawns in mixed vegetables were quite OK, as was the lemon chicken. On to the service. It was very good and there was always someone around to help. But unfortunately the food lets this place down.

But ... service as soon as we arrived was outstanding. Friendly, but professional. We started off with vegetarian spring rolls which were your basic spring rolls - tasty, not greasy at all. Wine list was quite extensive too, which is a bonus! For mains, we shared the BBQ Pork Ribs with Plum Sauce, Satay Beef and Sizzling Chicken with Garlic. My partner's 6 year old ordered what all 6 year olds would probably order ... chicken nuggets and chips. No, not very Chinese, but I guess the restaurant knows what a good kids menu should include! All our main meals were outstanding - and yes, I was surprised! Especially the BBQ Pork Ribs, which could be 'cut' with a spoon (and had hardly any bones). I swear the meal wasn't as good as this last time we visited (which was about a year ago) - I am seriously impressed, and already planning a return visit. Oh, and 3 adults and 1 child for a total of $85 (and that included a glass of wine for each adult) - well, that's even better ;)
