Marcus and his crew did an outstanding job catering my son and daughter in law's Wedding Welcome Party at the Annenberg Beach House. He was so helpful in everything from recommending the food, the beverages, the decor, etc. and stayed well within my budget. He was always communicative and just a joy to work with. I highly recommend him. read more

We just worked with Harvey and the team at Feast at the Annenberg Beach House and Marion Davies Guest House in Santa Monica (the event was Sept 23). At first when I heard I had to use the properties set list of caterers I wasn't too happy. After talking to a few companies, we decided on Feast. Keep in mind our event was only 10 days later... so there wasn't much time. We had a full day of panels and a mixer to plan - Harvey jumped right in - I am so glad we went with Feast - the event was a food blogger conference and they tend to know their food. We had a list of sponsors and Harvey seamlessly integrated all our sponsored products into the menu (thank you!). The eggplant with yogurt drizzle was the best eggplant I have ever tasted - one attendee said, "I'm a meat person, but the veggies were so hearty that I didn't even try the chicken." Because we had a produce and fruit sponsor we went heavy on produce for the menu, but from the looks of the chicken... Feast is probably great at any menu combination they can think of. The menu wasn't cookie cutter - it was thoughtful on food combinations and flavors. I don't think I met an attendee that didn't say the food was terrific. We had 100 in attendance. But what really set Harvey apart from other caterers we've worked with in the past was that the entire staff was extremely pleasant to be around - all day! And I mean all day. And I don't mean just courteous... I mean they smiled, laughed, joked, put us at ease kind of nice. The kind of folks you feel like are part of your event. Our event went from 7am-9pm. What a nice group of employees! All professional, lighthearted and really on top of things. Never once did we hear about any issues and they jumped in to help with everything! :) When our water arrived 2 hours late, they realized they needed to find a solution and didn't miss a beat until the water arrived. Thank you feast for helping to make our event a smash hit! We will keep you in mind for future events! If you're on the fence about choosing Feast... do it! They will make your event much more relaxed... it's already heard enough to do an event. Having the right caterer can make the world of difference. Thank you Harvey and please tell your team they were awesome!!!!!! read more

Feast did an AMAZING job for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah!! Marcus and his team were professional, over the top helpful and the food was wonderful!!! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!! read more

Marcus and team catered our wedding at the Marion Davies Guest House at the Annenberg, chosen from a short list of approved caterers for this venue. Food was delicious! We received several compliments from our guests many of whom have discerning palates. All ate well and many went back for seconds and even thirds. Lamb chops, crab cakes and sea bass with basil aioli were stars and the gnocchi was devoured! Tastings - not all caterers oblige or charge a pretty penny. Marcus graciously gave us a test run and it was wonderful to meet and plan with him. Work style - Marcus is extremely easy to work with and experienced to get everything done well, flexible to adjust and takes care of things in his relaxed manner. Value - final costs came within original bid, and he is good at not folding in additional costs and mark ups which I noticed with other caterers which made about a 20-25% differential in costs. It's always a pleasure to work with genuinely good, kind people and it was also reflected with Marcus' staff who were all marvelous and just contributed so well to the energy and mood for our special wedding day! read more

We chose Feast catering for our wedding in June at the Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica. They did such a fantastic job and we received lots of compliments on how great the food and service was at our wedding. We had a little over 100 guests and chose a plated dinner. We mainly worked with Marcus throughout the wedding day and planning. He was so helpful and really worked with us on creating a menu we loved. I found a unique cocktail and asked Marcus if we could serve it at the wedding and he simply said, "I'll take care of it," which is exactly what every bride wants to hear while planning a wedding. We will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone we know planning a wedding or event. read more

Feast catered my wedding last weekend at the Annenberg Beach House. We selected Feast from a list of pre-approved caterers based on the proposed menu, cost, and Marcus' responsiveness and friendliness. We were blown away by the high level of service throughout the planning process. Marcus returned calls and emails very quickly and was extremely accommodating, wanting to ensure that everything turned out just the way we wanted it. We had a tasting with Marcus about a month before the wedding and everything was delicious. We asked for a few changes to the menu based on the tasting and Marcus had great suggestions and was happy to make any changes we wanted. At the cocktail hour, Feast served a number of passed appetizers, which were all delicious (especially the blackened shrimp!) and Marcus made sure that a plate of appetizers was made specifically for the groom and me. Servers were constantly around, the service was impeccable. For the reception, we had a buffet. Again, Marcus made sure we had plates of food at our table so that we would get a chance to taste everything. All of the food was even more delicious than during the tasting -- we had chicken, salmon, pasta, carrots, and potatoes. Last minute I asked for a dessert buffet to be added and it was so delicious. One of my friends said the macarons were like heaven. I received tons of compliments on how delicious the food was and how wonderful the staff was. And on top of all of that, our bill was even lower than we were planning! Feast sold back any alcohol that wasn't consumed, so Marcus was able to buy extra and return it, decreasing our bill by a substantial amount. I strongly recommend you use Feast for your wedding or any other catering needs! They are wonderful. read more

We booked Feast for our wedding and Marcus and his team were an absolute delight to work with. We requested to have Indian food for the wedding as we wanted to incorporate part of my culture into the event and he created a delicious authentic Indian menu that impressed all our guests! We were extremely pleased with his level of professionalism and the enthusiasm shown by all his staff. I would definitely recommend Feast to anyone looking for a stand-out catering team for their special event! read more

My work has used Feast for catering a few times and every time we've received tons of compliments on the food from our attendees. Marcus and Melanie are amazing people to work with. Their pricing is great as well. read more

For our wedding we were connected with Marcus and Feast Catering through a good friend who used to work at the Annenberg Beach House. What a great recommendation! Marcus sat down with us and was flexible in working with our budget. We really appreciated this. We were able to do a tasting with him, and Marcus was very receptive to feedback. We asked for an Asian influence for the menu and Marcus and his team pulled it off beautifully and creatively. The food was delicious. They arranged a beautiful beet salad that looked great in all the photos. We had soju coconut cocktails. The wines were good too. My niece said it was her favorite wedding food ever - Marcus was so kind to ask if we wanted a special meal for the few children that were attending. They had mac n' cheese, chicken nuggets - their favorites! Marcus managed his staff well, too. They decorated the tables nicely with the linens and Feast arranged the heat lamps and all the rentals for us. All of the staff were courteous and friendly - great service. Feast assigned a special person to look out for us as the bride and groom and make sure that we had all that we wanted - seconds on the buffet, an extra piece of wedding cake, another cocktail, anything. Thank you so much, Marcus! read more

We recently held a business event at the Marion Davies Guest House thru Annenberg. We were given a list of caterers to choose from but we opted for Feast as the menu was well balanced, food looked delectable, and they offered a variety of options. Harvey, our catering representative, did an amazing job working with me on providing a menu that would appeal to our clients and also provided items off the menu that fit well within our budget. He also offered some additional items that gave the room a wonderful ambiance for our event. Everything was wonderful and I can't say enough about how helpful and friendly everyone was. As the event organizer, it was a nice finish and treat to share a glass of wine and be given a lesson on cheeses from Feast's in house chef that evening. We will definitely use Feast again in the future. Our guests rated our event top notch. read more

Feast recently catered our wedding ceremony and did an exemplary job. Our wedding was outside on the beach and the catering team only had access to a very small prep kitchen. They made it work and brought out incredibly delicious food. Our guests could not stop raving about it! Before the event, we had two tastings with Marcus and Chef Aaron, and they both worked with us over the course of a few months to create the perfect menu. On the day of, everything was executed beautifully and Marcus went above and beyond by adding chai to the menu because rain was forecasted and he thought our guests would be cold. This kind of thoughtfulness and attention to detail made us feel truly special. Thank you to Feast! read more

I recently attended a business networking holiday party catered by Feast. Harvey and his team were so professional. I loved the food presentation, every dish was fabulous!!!! I especially enjoyed a conversation I had with Harvey at the event. He explained his philosophy about food and catering. Harvey has a very strong philosophy about working closely with his clients to create an entire food experience that is perfect for each unique event. If you are looking for the BEST, most professional, most excellent catering team- Feast is not only your best choice but your only choice! read more

I attended a party for Disney at the YouTube space and the food was mediocre. Rubbery carrots, all sugary drinks, cold white hamburger buns, burnt burgers, few healthy options, and lots of paper waste. Disappointing food quality. read more

Harvey and Feast caterers provide delicious, creative cuisine. I have enjoyed several events where they have provided the feast. I have recommended them to several clients and friends and all have been impressed. I strongly recommend Feast. read more

I've worked with Feast twice now and the food and service they provide are absolutely wonderful! The detail of the food presentation and the flavor is everything you would want and expect in a caterer. They pay careful attention to the small details in everything they prepare and this care is evident in the flavor, appearance, and quality of the experience they offer. I highly recommend Feast and Marcus is wonderful to work with! read more

I highly discourage using Feast to cater an event. There is much better quality service and food in LA, the food was no good at all. Unfortunately, the food was not worth the cost, we had bad reviews from our dinner guests as well. We ourselves were very unimpressed with the food and service. We were overcharged for food, drinks and rentals we did not use OR ASK FOR and they charged our account several times without being authorized to do so. I suggest if you do use them be very persistent about what Marcus and members are adding to your account and charging you for because they will try to throw things in that are not necessary to your event to get your cost up. Untrustworthy and terrible food. Embarrassed to feed guests such low quality food, especially after how much we paid. read more

This is a tough review to write. I had an event in March at the Annenberg Beach House and chose Feast for the catering. I was really pleased with all of the planning we did with Harvey ahead of time. On the day of the event, his staff was amazing -- I was very impressed with their helpfulness, professionalism and friendliness. The food looked and tasted excellent -- but here's my issue: we had what was essentially a buffet/food stations, and a lot of the food was set out in very small bowls so that guests didn't feel free to help themselves. This was inexcusable for something like a crepe station where there was a bowl of berries and no more than about a couple dozen berries in the bowl at any one time. That's good for three or four people before the bowl would be empty and then my guests would have to wait for it to be refilled. Not only were the portion sizes very small, but they ran out of food! (Literally -- as the host, I didn't eat right away and when I finally did go to get a plate, I was told that nothing was left except a small bowl of salad and the breads. And food service was still scheduled, per our agreement, for another hour.) But perhaps my biggest complaint that I want to share is a "buyer beware" concern: while we finalized our contract and confirmed our guest count with Harvey beforehand (he even sent a "Contract Confirmation" four days earlier which I told him was perfect), afterwards he sent a revised invoice that was substantially higher than what we had agreed upon in advance. He then proceeded to tell me that the "confirmed contract" was still an estimate and that he had way underestimated his labor costs. I was shocked, especially since we had discussed the staff in detail several weeks earlier! The hours of my event didn't change; many guests even departed earlier than expected due to rain. In fact, NOTHING changed except for his bill after the fact -- and his numerous excuses for why, none of which were justified or even made any sense. So if you choose to use Feast and don't want surprises after the fact, be sure your final contract does not still say "estimate" on it. read more

WOW! Harvey Slater and Marcus are a great team. I called them two weeks prior to my event which happened to be my wedding. Mr. Slater not only had suggestions on a venue, as I was undecided, but then assisted...no, arranged completely, a myriad of details including referral to an incredible florist, who I hired three days prior and did an astonishing job. He also helped coordinate a beach wedding where we rented carpeting and chairs so that my bride could walk down the aisle in her four inch heals without stumbling through the sand. In short it was exquisite. The food was amazing, starting with the appetizers and going through every course of the meal. My guests raved about how they went back for food three and four times! Better yet, all this was done in less than 2 weeks, and all along the way there were suggestions made on ways to keep the budget in line. They saved me over $1000 on beverages by having us supply the drinks and they brought in a bartender. They also saved us money by suggesting a buffet, ands then arranged it i such away that it still had a high class feeling. My guests could not believe that we pulled this off in two weeks, as they had all received invites by email no more than 13 days in advance! But it felt no different than weddings that have had a year to plan! I owe that all to Feast. We are still all talking about the event and can't wait to have another reason to bring Feast on board. Don't delay call these people today, their food and service are top drawer. read more

Similar to Babette's review. my company was hosting an event at the Annenberg Beach House and had less two weeks to get everything together. After speaking with several caterers we decided to go with Feast because their food was amazing and perfect 1-to-2 bites for our cocktail party. Knowing we weren't going to be utilizing a lot of seating space, having delicious food one could eat without having to use utensils was crucial. In addition to the food and bar menu, we got most of our rentals through Feast as well (lighting, heaters, candles, etc). Leading up to the event and on the day of, Marcus took care of everything and was a complete pleasure to work with. The staff was also amazing and extremely helpful. The setup was beautiful and the food could not have been more perfect for our event. Even though we only served stationary/passed appetizers, our guests were more than full and satisfied. I am very much looking forward to working with Feast again the future! read more

Beautiful and tasty food, lovely presentation! Harvey and the whole team at Feast run a fantastic operation ! My friend and I are quite picky about food, and in fact considered all the possible caterers available to us before deciding on Feast, and this was the right and BEST choice! Guests at out event were even asking "who did the food?". From the moment we asked our first questions until our event was over, we had a very pleasant process! Customer service was way above our expectations. I can't say we were the easiest clients Harvey has ever had, but he was accommodating throughout the process. Every time we contacted Feast, we received a prompt reply, which really helps when you are trying to plan an event and are making dozens of decisions about every little thing. They have great menu suggestions, or can go with client's guidance. Also, their serving staff and bartender were hard working and pleasant. Highly recommend this catering company! read more

We are so glad that we chose Feast to cater our recent wedding. From the very beginning, Harvey really listened to what we wanted. Unlike so many of the other caterers we looked at, who seemed to just hear "wedding" and give us their standard wedding menus, Harvey and the Feast team worked with us to develop the casual, fun menu (not "Wedding Food") we were looking for. All through the planning, they were responsive, helpful, and so easy to work with. There was no "upselling" - yes I'm serious! Harvey coordinated easily with the staff at our venue to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff on the wedding day was absolutely fantastic - we didn't have to worry about a thing! Most importantly, the food was delicious. Many of our guests told us that it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. Oh, and also importantly, our final total was spot-on what we got for an estimate. Thanks Feast! read more
