We also tried the chicken empanadas which were easily some of the best we had. We ended up making a second order to go. We also ordered the El Nacional which had scrambled eggs with chorizo, avocado, sweet plantains, refried beans, pickled onions and bread with crema and cojita. The Detroit style packs a flavor profile and consistency that is unique and tasteful. The toppings were plentiful and the pizza was well-made. My biggest point of contention is the value. An 8"x10" cheese pizza is $18.50 and 6 finger length garlic cheese bread sticks are $13. Both should be just over half this price. For that price, I would take Pi-Napo or Lampo for quality and value, any day. For the steep price, not matching the size and volume, will likely not return but definitely worth a try during unique occasions.
