Delicious sandwiches and salads! I love trying all of the great samples they have, and they always have good specials. Definitely come here for lunch. read more

FEAST IS FANTASTIC!! We use them every week for picnics for our company, Blue Ridge Wine Excursions. They have such a broad variety of cheeses, both local and exotic, and their meats are delicious! Everything is always fresh and is of the highest quality. Our customers rave about the food we pack on our wine tours, and that is largely due to the superb quality of Feast's products. We are customers for life! read more

I've only been once but it was so good! I went for lunch and had the turkey, Brie, and raspberry jam sandwich. It was very tasty! I would go back for sure read more

This little market is an amazing gem in Charlottesville! They have tons of tasty foods - cheeses, hummus, jams, meats - it's a foodie paradise! And there are lots of samples so you can experience the offerings. The pimento cheese is incredible as are the sandwiches - perfect to eat there or take away on a picnic. Definitely worth a visit - you will not be disappointed! read more

Seasonal grilled cheese was amazing. It had a butternut squash purée and I added bacon! Heavenly. Can't wait to go back.

Never make a trip to Charlottesville and not visit Feast! Quite a gem! I love all of their local offerings and their staff is so well versed and always helpful. Soups bad salads are fabulous! Great place to buy terrific wines and cheese that is divine! Wish there was one closer to Charlotte! read more

Delicious spot for lunch! I also sampled some of the cheeses and they were super yummy. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location and parking make it an easy spot to go to. read more

One of my favorite lunch places in town. I had one of the best sandwiches ever the chicken salad melt is delicious. It comes with choice of salad and I chose the white bean which was yummy. As it is also a gourmet shop you can nosh before you eat! Win win!!!! Absolutely worth a trip! read more

This place is incredible. Fresh and local food. Very creative dishes. It's not that expensive. Everyone who works there is nice and smiling and makes you feel great. It's also located right next to some other great shops. read more

Great suggestions as always. My daughters got their Mother's Dya gifts here. Great stuff, but it will cost ya..... just they way it goes.

Consistently good food at Feast. I love the vegetarian staples, as well as the seasonal options using local produce. Food is always fresh and filling. However, food preparation can sometimes be inconsistent (too much sauce/pesto on sandwiches, not enough cheese, etc.). Staff is always pleasant. read more

Great choices, but seriously overpriced for the portions you get. I ordered a french onion soup and it was tiny, with only a little bit of cheese. I love the selection, but I wish the prices were better. read more

Wonderful local place to get a delicious and unique sandwich. On the pricey side, but well worth the occasional splurge!

If you find yourself near Charlottesville don't pass up the opportunity to eat at Feast. The sandwiches and soups are really good. They also have a specialty market that has some really good cheese and meats. Great find. read more

Best house-made hummus ANYWHERE! Pair it with one of their baguettes and a bottle of wine, you've got yourself a wonderful picnic!!! All kinds of yummy goodies at Feast! read more

FEAST! is wonderful! I had a ham, goat cheese and plum panini and my girlfriend had the local chicken salad. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The market was small but well stocked with artisan items, local meat and produce as well as condiments, sauces, pasta and snacks. Very cool place. read more

What a great find! I always wondered what was in that big purple building on West Main Street! I've been to Orzo, but never wandered to the back of the building, but so glad I did. They have such a creative lunch menu -- never though of putting figs on a chicken panini! I loved grazing while I waited for my order to be ready -- chips, dips, cheeses -- all kinds of goodies to temp you to try something new. read more

Really good because they give you your food really quick. There grilled cheeses are very good to eat. Also they have tasting stations!

I used to enjoy going shopping at Feast but not anymore. The general snippy attitude especially in the deli cheese department made me stop going. General reluctance when asking to taste something was not pleasant. Now I am happy to report the discovery of the most wonderful little cheese shop inside Millie Joes cafe, Flora, where I will buy my cheeses from now on. Here cheese is handled right and tasting of utmost importance. Feast has a lot to learn. read more

4.5 stars? Apparently I've gone insane or the food bar had been lowered. This place is a wannabe Taste of the Hampton roads area, but does a poor job of it. Don't get me wrong - the food was decent, 3 stars worthy, but no 4.5. We had the tomato soup, which left something to desired. Essentially just blended tomatoes and not much flavor. The bread did not seem to be made in-house. The sandwiches were okay. I had a grilled cheese with strawberries, which I enjoyed fine. My husband had the tuna, which he said was okay. We also ordered the pimento dip... As a pimento dip or as we call it "sassy dip" aficionado it was sub par. It was clearly made several days before and it was hard as a rock... It broke the chips. Beyond that the flavor was just okay. Do yourself a favor and next time you're driving through Newport News, Norfolk, or VA beach stop by Taste and prepare to have your taste buds rocked. read more

Dropped by from out of town on a visit to the University with my family. It was good to see this sort of deli and food in my beloved C'ville. The deli selection and service was very good and we decided to grab lunch there. However, the soup was lukewarm and there was a fly (at least it was local too) in one of the soup bowls. We got another soup but no one seemed particularly fazed by it. Nice foodie fare concept but the fly definitely dropped it down a notch. read more

This is probably my favorite quick lunch place in Charlottesville! Between the speciality foods they sell from cheese to chocolate and their extensive lunch offerings you can never get bored! Also, it's located in the cutest little warehouse type market, definitely recommend checking out the flower shop and Albemarle Baking Co. for a post lunch dessert! read more

The food during the lunch hour is consistently inventive and excellent. The setting is comfortable. Very enjoyable.

I love Feast! They have a great selection of cheese and are very helpful when you are deciding. The lunches are great too.

I love Feast to an embarrassing degree. The knowledgeable cheese staff always points me to something new (and expensive :-( ) that I suddenly cannot live without. The seasonal grilled cheese and seasonal salads are typically delicious, and the soups are fantastic. The chicken and fig sandwich is always good, and so is the ham and goat cheese. Basically, everything is really, really good. And really addictive. And the people behind the counter recognize me now; I need to get some disguises. read more

Tasty flavors and very fresh. Good pick for a whole-foods approach to eating. Will be back if in area.

Both my nieces were thrilled when we gave them gift cards from Feast! It's a go-to fav for them in Charlottesville.

I love this place, even though it's expensive. It's like a special treat--not something to be done every day at lunch. The sandwiches and soups are great. read more

Had a great ham and goat cheese panini! Also enjoyed some wonderful apple cider! Yum! Already looking forward to going back!

I recently went to feast on my lunch break and was hard pressed to find a price for most of the items in the grab and go section, so instead I decided to order a sandwich. I got the chicken salad sandwich and ordered it to-go, but they didn't seem to get that part so I had to wait around for an extra couple of minutes while they boxed up my food. I know feast has usually got a great selection of local things that are very fresh and gourmet taste, so I paid an additional 1.50 for a side salad... I just didn't know I was paying extra for bugs. Luckily I ran out of time to eat the salad on my lunch break, so after removing my salad from the fridge, I count at least 8 aphids and 2 or 3 fruit flies that awakened and started moving their cute little legs. The salad had been sealed at feast and I didn't open it until the next day, and since the little guys aren't floating around our office, I know they had to come from the restaurant. I guess if I liked to eat bugs I'd be fine with it... Considering there was nothing else but salad dressing that came with the salad, I really don't feel like I got my money's worth. The chicken salad was great but there was lettuce on the sandwich and now I'm concerned because I didn't think to check that for creepy crawlies before I had it while driving back to work. I have worked around fresh foods at Whole Foods Market and I know even with packaged and shipped foods it can be tough to get all the bugs off, especially if it is raw food with minimal processing. But It can be really frustrating as a customer having to pick through a dish trying to find pieces of food that don't have a teeny life clinging to them. Some bugs, like fruit flies, love fermented foods, so even if they are on a clean food, if you eat one... you have no idea where it has been. It may have flown from the trash to the salad, or from a piece of rotten food elsewhere and then trapped in the sandwich, who knows! They are flies. That's what they do. When buying something under the guise of "prepared" food such as a salad, you tend to expect that some of the work has been done for you as far as pest removal. The salad is now on my desk looking like a little terrarium and I am quite uncertain as far as how to proceed...I suppose I will just liberate the flies at the end of the day and try to remember not to order a salad from feast on a warm day. Way cheaper just to make your own, and you can check for bugs while you make it!! read more

Foodie's dream, and top of the list for even those less discerning! Great cafe (call ahead to order, take out, or eat there). Love their plentiful samples -- I often try new things (red onion jam -- oh my gosh) because of them. Instant party -- wine, cheese, nuts, delightful and creative crackers, dried tart cherries, chocolates and caramels. And great staff from the owners Kate and Eric to the folks behind the register. Also have excellent gift baskets and holiday gifts. read more

I had the turkey, cranberry and brie panini -- it was very good. I would recommend it. The shop itself had delicious looking cheeses, meats, and prepared foods. I would go back again for a delicious, casual meal in C-ville. read more

Love Feast! Perfect for lunch or a quick bite to eat. I've always ordered sandwiches (specifically the caprese variety), but the salads look great as well. I love that they always have samples out and invariably end up purchasing some of the sampled items. read more

The only reason Feast doesn't get 5 stars is because it is very expensive. However, it is worth it bc the sandwiches are great and other food throughout the shop is delicious. I recommend the roast beef sandwich with Feast pimento cheese. read more

Feast has great cheeses, local produce and italian proscuitto. I really like their new panini's: chicken with fig preserve spread. So yummy. The only downside is that it is so so expensive and the portions are not that large. I guess it is a good thing to eat a smaller sandwich with a side salad but it does not always seem to be worth the $15 that I spend everything I go. Still I go about 3 times a month.. it is worth it for the samples and a good cheese panini.. I just make someone else pay:) read more

Discovered this gem a few years ago when in Cville for a marathon - adorable, cute, great food, good location, easy parking etc. We have since made it a tradition of returning to Feast every single time we return to Charlottesville. read more

Feast has amazing food. My personal favorite is a mozzarella tomato and basil sandwich-truly wonderful. and the sample cheeses are always paired with amazing jellies and jams. overall this place is great. unfortunately the store has very short hours, and when it is opened the parking lot is packed so parking at staples is the only option. also as everyone has said it is quite expensive. other than that it has a great location and really just a good earthy fresh atmosphere. read more

Had the Turkey Brie and Cranberry Panini. Great! Also had a molasses cookie which was delicious as well. Cool restaurant/grocery with great healthy selection. read more

This is our standard place to go to lunch on Saturday. The sandwiches and salads are great. I particularly enjoy their prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich and the seasonal grilled cheese. Speaking of cheese, their retail selection is incredible and the staff are extremely helpful. It is perhaps not the most economical place to buy food in Cville, but one does get what one pays for. read more

The food here is fantastic. One of the best sandwiches in town, and I love the sides it comes with. A bit pricey, but I think it's worth it. Great for grab and go, and they also have seating right beside it with a jug for you to get water. read more
