Recently went here and felt like it was a bit scarier last year, but was more of an experience this year. I don't remember it being so "theatrical" but the entire thing felt like a theater performance which kind of took away from how scary it was supposed to be. I loved the set up of this attraction because it feels like its own little amusement park. There's a bunch of different areas to go to for each walk through, there's games you can play for free and also the option to buy tickets/tokens for some, there's snack stations, merch, 4D experience, pumpkin picking- lots to do besides just go through each haunted experience. Overall I would say if you're looking for a good experience and more to do than just walk through something scary I think this is the perfect spot. Definitely not the scariest one but a good option. read more

The haunted houses were very ok, nothing special. I like how they had 3 in close proximity, so you could walk to each one. It is in the middle of a field so there are porter potties. However, it is a cute location to come with friends and family during a nice fall night. This place also has food/drink/gift stalls, and lots of photo spots. read more

The haunted houses were amazing the whole surrounding was awesome we had so much fun the actors were amazing they really knew how to give a scare I just couldn't stop laughing because my kids were just screaming for their lifes in the haunted houses. Plus I took a couple of pictures and yes your place seems to be haunted that's a plus read more

Soo much fun and scary ! I will go back again! Food and T-shirts for sale, food trucks too

Dang. Ngl bruh, this is one scary haunted house. My body literally had a fight or flight response when I first walked in, and I mean, I'm supposed to be saying it's scary, but suffice it to say, it's hella scary. The actors stay in character the whole time, which is also scary. read more

This is the same company that runs Factory of terror. What harmed the haunt more is forcing people into groups of 10 or more. And poor timing. While FOT was topnotch and left me wanting to do it again. This one kinda felt lacking in many departments. Madam Guillotines: Theme: 4 Scares:2 This is where you redeem your tickets and is the first haunt. The first part theaming wise was quite good, But then mid way got extreamly repetive with the Guillotines. It felt kinda lacking there. Also due to the poor group spacing and the amount a group behind me caught up.. (one of there kids grabed onto my bag...Didnt like that. But it was a good set design, How ever because of the issues previous stated the scares didnt feel effective. Black Cat theater: Theme 4 scares 3 This one was quite good and sort of saved it form being bumped down, Good scares and theming though the actor timing where off. They would pop out a bit to late at times and one window was kinda broken spoiling the scare. How ever they committed a sin of reusing a theme in another house. (There two clown zones in the attractions in separate haunts.while tetchily Madams is jesture still kinda the same.) SLasher 2: Theming 3 Scares 2 Insane asylum with multi zones, need I say more. We got the asylum with some excellent set design and some good scares, But then junkyard, Swamp and Christmas? Yup Christmas! As some examples, The return of the spirit Halloween shock prong returns. (seriously stop that). The scares felt very lacking due to being shoved in with a larger group. And this was majorly disappointing and mid. I was hoping for Krampus to show in the christmas scene but the scene lead nowhere. (And one of the doors kinda spoils the magic of haunting.) Ate some food though its overpriced, no prices on the food either. (Fried ppj and Koolaid totalling $35 Dang bro). Sadly this is why I gave the haunt the star amount you see (the kids behind me wher enot part of the issue just a peeve.) read more

Had a blast The people/actors was great that did there job I was impressed and let me tell you that's not a easy thing to due. Seeing my family have fun and being scared at the same time was great . The lines moved pretty fast, and everything was kool ,police was present, so the vibe there was definitely A+ for me thank you fear town and the crew u guys rock.. read more

I have been coming here for years and love it here, i've given good reviews and recommended this place to friends but.... this year unfortunately wasn't the best. They did interactive bits for the first two houses but they were boring. Not many scares, mostly just standing and waiting. They also grouped like 20 of us together which took away from the scares as well. I feel like they are trying to change things but this place was good the way it was. The last house with the clowns was the best. Fear town please go back to the way it was years ago with constant scares in the woods and different scenes it was amazing! read more

Oh god this place was awful this year. Instead of one 45min-1hour haunted house theres 3, 10 minute ones where half of the time you are in some dramatic cringey cut scene where the workers act in front of you. It is atrocious. This place used to be so good too. read more

Best haunted house for your money! 45 minutes long, 3 different attractions, great actors, you can't go wrong. The costumes and make up are awesome. Love this place. read more

It was an awesome experience to be here! I saw it online and just had to check it out! Me and my lady like to go to haunted houses so we chose to go today October 15 2017. First you get tickets of course, then you get set aside for at time to enter the haunted house in 30 minute increments. This is the best haunted house by far! It is 40 minutes of sheer fear and excitement! I don't want to put spoilers in but you will really get your money worth!! You do enter with at least 8 people lol so don't get scared!! read more

Cool little haunted trail to walk through around Halloween. It gets a bit busy and so because of that, when you are ant-lined into a trail, and you can hear the surprises from people in front of you... The creators really did a great job and all the volunteers and zombies did a nice job. read more

One of the best haunted houses I've ever been to. I love that you get to experience a haunted house and a haunted walk through the woods. The decor and actors were on point and a lot of fun. I don't get scared easily but I did scream quite a few times! There are a lot of jump scares which are great. They do have "extreme fears" where the actors are allowed to touch you, I think that would have been a lot scarier for me. Either way, it was lots of fun and quite long as well! About 30-45 mins depending on how busy it is. Mist haunted houses I've been to we're about 20 minutes tops. I feel like you get your money's worth here. We also bought our tickets online, so we didn't have to wait and to line up and received $2 off admission. They have popcorn there to snack on and fun games as well. Can't wait for next year! read more

30 minutes of being scared in the woods don't mind if I do! I had no idea about this place until my fiancé told me about me, so we went. This place was great! The line does get really really long , so they do offer a speed pass for 10.00 extra per person I recommend it. This is what we did because there was no way I could wait that long. The scenery for this place was amazing. And it being out in the open in the woods was really scary. I cannot believe how well they did this place! The lights were directly in your face so you were scared without any warning. The actors costumes were amazing all very very scary. I really enjoyed the props and everything, I have never been to a place like this! This place is nothing like the haunted houses I'm used to. They even used the trees to add props it was just crazy I can't even explain. The price was worth it! The only reason why I give this place 4/5 stars was because they have to divide the people up better , because I should've been scared more but since the groups were so close it made it like impossible to know not what was coming up. That's the only problem otherwise I love this place. read more

My favorite haunted house in rhode island. Been coming back for a few years now, especially for the first weekend of November they do the full contact extreme night !!! Only down side this year i would say, is the fact that they let you in with groups of 6-8 and they don't give enough time between each groups you end up meeting up with other groups and ruins the experience. I hope they figure that part out! Maybe set ticket times for a certain amount of people. Hoping they fix this by the extreme night !! read more

Let me just say this was the lamest hunted, whatever you want to call it, place I've ever been to. 45 minutes of walking and crawling, yes I said crawling, through a maze that looked like a junkyard with random characters jumping out and screaming at you in an attempt to scare you. My wife got the tickets because she read Fear Town was like the best haunted house in New England. I do not know how this place earned that title because it was just stupid. There were 2 parts on the walk where we had to crouch down, like duck walk and almost crawl on our hands and knees. I mean WTH really? I am 6ft and my son is 6'4. Not an ideal set up. The characters weren't in the least bit scary. And honestly, just jumping out and yelling "raaahhh" is pretty lazy, especially considering the price of the tickets. Waste of money, waste of time and extremely disappointed is my description Fear Town. read more

Easily the beat haunted house I have been to and most likely the best nearby the Providence area. I recommend looking for tickets online as they are discounted. They pay very close attention to detail with their haunted house and it definitely adds to the experience. I recommend going with all the family as it is set up as a little village and there is plenty for the whole family to do. Great work to all the staff working. read more

This was a big waste of money, which is dissapointing because it is set up pretty well. Finding the place was even a little difficult. We ended up originally down done weird road because we didn't see any kind of entrance sign as we were approaching. One we parked the lot was drenched and I walked through mud to get to the front. The one plus side forever is we were parked in the front. The whole time was practically standing in lines. While waiting, we had to sign waivers and stand in line based on group size, which is normal and only took 15 minutes since we were at the front exactly at 11. The probablem was inside... While it kind of had a cool set up, there was too much light but in a way that was blinding and giving me a headache. I don't know whether or not they were sorry on staff or it was because something happened that was taking up the staffs time but it seemed deserted for the most part. There were random things in mask but nothing scary and they weren't doing anything either so it didn't even seen like they were trying. The last major problem I had was the lines in the haunted house... Why did I pay to walk through a haunted house in a line for an hour and a half..... Just an all around dissapointing experience and I definitely won't be back. Update: spoke with the people who runs the haunted house and they took time to fully explain what went wrong. It was well appreciated read more

The length and creativity of this attraction is off the hook. There were definitely tons of scares but it needed more actors. I have never crawled through any part of a haunted house so this new feature was interesting. Kinda of creepy in its own. Great experience overall besides the long line to get in. Shout out to the actors because they were some of the best I have ever encountered. But I wish there were more of you!! read more

So much fun! Lots of jump scares and creepy characters and scenes. Things were run really well. Would definitely reccomend.

I took my 11 year old daughter here. She and her best friend had the best time, they loved it and that made me happy. I have never been to a haunted house and these are my thoughts. Real life is way more scary than this. I mean, would I remember where I parked my car, my car remote battery was dead, how the heck was I going to remember where I parked in that big dark field! We are outside in the woods with a triple EEE outbreak for goodness sake! Will one of us contract triple EEE? Is there poison ivy out here? Do these people even know!? Do they even care? Scary stuff people...scary stuff.... I think this is great for kids....but my daily real life experience is way more terrifying than this will ever be. read more

Sooo we went on a cold night. I got to say it was pretty scary my friend that was walking in front of me screamed every time somebody jumped out. I got touched a couple times and it freaked me out! In a good way. And at the very end there is like three or four tunnels and then they separate you and put you through a tunnel, And it's so dark you can't see where you're going. But when we made it to the end and got out there was food stands and things to buy which was pretty cool and then they had like staged set ups that you could take pictures. Oh I almost forgot in the beginning they take a picture of you and your friends in a scary scene, and at the very end you can buy the picture if you want. I would definitely recommend it it's a really fun and scary place! read more

My mom and i love going to as many haunted houses as possible throughout October and decided to focus on some MA attractions this year. We chose Fear Town based on the good reviews on yelp and on Facebook and were extremely disappointed. The actor wearing the gas mask in the barrel scene was using some clicker device to startle people as they walked past by reaching their arm out and clicking the device close to the person's head. While doing this, that actor actually hit my mom in the head as she was walking by. My mom stopped and told the actor that they had hit her and this person did nothing but stand there. I get that you're in character, but it's still possible to apologize. If you can't see well enough to guarantee that you won't accidentally hit someone, maybe you need a different scare tactic. There's a section in this haunt where you, literally, have to crawl through a small, pitch dark tunnel. Nowhere on the website, on the warning signs posted or in the 'welcome/rules' spiel does it state that there's a claustrophobia-crawl tunnel. When I asked the actor at this scene if there was a way around the tunnel, she pointed in a general direction and just screamed 'GO'. It's dark, I don't work here and I have no idea what you're pointing at. You can have actors in a haunt who are scary but also helpful, she could have teased us for being wimps but still SHOWED us a way around the tunnel. I've been to enough haunts with claustrophobia bags who are UP FRONT about it and have a walk around with a helpful scare actor. FYI - I have no idea if there was a way around the tunnel as my mom and I just went through it instead of holding up the line. If you are claustrophobic or severely afraid of the dark, this tunnel is NOT for you. The regular bad: The parking lot sign is small and unlit. I saw a handful of 'midway' actors, none of which were entertaining or creepy. The walk-through the attraction itself was closer to 25-30 minutes than 45, but maybe on a busier night that's different. The structures and buildings are severely lacking in the detail department, there's nothing scary or creepy about plain plywood and a few dilapidated chairs if there's no other ambiance to go with it. There's a lot of empty space throughout the walk and not nearly enough actors to fill the space. Most of the actors were sub-par and quite a few did nothing but stand there and stare at people. While the tickets are cheap enough, save your money and spend a little extra on a different New England haunted attraction more worthwhile. read more

This was such an amazing experience! I was so scared at first, it was one of my first times in a haunted house. The wavier stated that I could die, but I soon realized it was incase you trip or hit your head & fall. Not because of the actual haunted house. I paid $19 dollars for a 45 minute adventure through a whole town of screams! The scares start right away, & don't stop until the very end. There was crawling, walking up sideways, squeezing through tight places, & scary props all around. It brings you through multiple houses & the woods. Even has multiple guys with chainsaws at the end. The wait wasn't long at all! I waited 10-15 minutes at the most. The actors & owners are so passionate about what they do. Towards the end of the 2018 fear town was the scariest for me. The guy at the end was up in my face & pushing me back as I was screaming. It got to the point where I had to push him away, but he wouldn't. Other than that, there were a bunch of other little activities you could do, souvenirs, food, & people in costumes chasing you around before you enter. 10/10 recommend this place, it is worth the money. read more

The scariest thing at Fear town for me, was the line. Yes. THE LINE. We arrived at fear town at approximately 7:30pm on Saturday the 29th. We waited in the "payment" line for twenty minutes, then we waited in the "Disclosure/wetakeyourinformation line" for five minutes. We then waited in a line until 11pm.. That's right. We waited in line for THREE FREAKING HOURS. THREE HOURS OF HORRIBLE LINE WAITING. WITH REALLY LOUD ROB ZOMBIE MUSIC PLAYING. THREE HOURS OF REPEATIVE ROB ZOMBIE MUSIC AND A GROUP OF FIGHTING KIDS CONSTANTLY BUMPING INTO US DUE TO BAD PAR---. .. *ahem*.. I guess I got a little carried away. So yes, we waited in line for 3 hours, for a half hour attraction which was OKAY. There were a lot of missed opportunities for the actors to try to scare me, but maybe I'm just really hard to scare. ( I am a bit of a hard ass at times. ) If you happen to go here and you see a large line--- Just turn around and go somewhere else. (Yeah, you -could- get the speed pass, but the "speed pass", really isn't that speedy.) read more

Lots of haunted houses are too tame but this was pretty weird and rough - loved it. In NYC I am so tired of places being too afraid of getting sued and paying for a slickness - not here. The fear town was a fun and, surprisingly, pretty long. We got the extended fun house thing for like $10 more and it was surprisingly worth it too. If there are better ones than this, I would love to go. read more

Great experience and worth the money! Best local haunted attraction... went to factory of terror, and fright fest at six flags as well but had the best time here! read more

This place does a seriously great job. They put a lot of effort in, and it shows. This isn't some ten 'minutes and you're done' place with cardboard up. The work done is pretty intense, and it takes a good 45 minutes to go through the entire haunted house. Well worth the price of admission, and cheaper than many haunted houses of much lower quality. Give them a try! read more

Yes while this was 30 minutes long and it was only $21 per person for the walk though. Is was no good at all my daughter girlfriend and I decided we would not be coming back here again. I have no idea how it got so many good reviews. I say don't waste your time. read more

This place is amazing. First off their ads are correct, it's 45 minutes long, and well worth the price. The actors were dedicated and very hardworking. I was surprisingly shocked to see that the sets and props were as detailed as they were. The originality really shines at this attraction as there are no stereotypical movie monsters; yet they tell a story with their original character throughout the walk. Throughly impressed! read more

So scary! It said 45 minutes I definitely didn't think it would be that long, totally thought it was a marketing ploy. Boy was I wrong! This is by far one of the SCARIEST things I've ever been a part of. I felt like I was in a scary movie, my heart was racing the whole time, I was sweaty and my poor boyfriends arm paid the price. One of the parking lot attendants said if I came back November 3 and 4th that it would be even scarier bc the actors would grab you- YEAH NO THANKS! I need to live to see another day and there's no way I would if that happened! I would most definitely recommend this to others read more

This is by far the best halloween event I've ever attended. It is worth the wait in line. The costumes and scary makeup on the actors looked horror film worthy. The haunted walk you take was creative because part of it includes being outside and walking through the woods. Totally go! I think it is too scary for young children, I recommend older teens and adults only. read more

This place is definitely not what I expected. There were moments where I was scared, but majority of time I wasn't. There is a 45 minute haunted house where you walk through and you are literally on top of one another. While you're with your group of friends another group is right in-front of you which makes it less scary. Since everyone is so close you know what's going to happen next because you can hear/see them react. There was many times where I caught myself and my group walking for minutes without anything scary popping out or happening. Some of the "actors" are barely in character which also makes it less scary. While walking around the whole site the workers are dressed normal so you don't really get that haunted feel because there's only one worker dressed up & walking around trying to scare people. My group and I also tried "The Possession" not scary at all! Such a waste of time. Would not recommend this to a friend there are many other haunted houses that are better than this. read more

First off, the work and effort put into this trail is unbelievable. The props, the details, actors, it is spectacular. The characters were incredible so good at what they do and also very comedic at the same time. The whole trail is about 45 minutes long you go from scene to scene each with a different setting and characters, so you definitely get your money's worth 100%. It was so fun and spooky lots of screaming! They also stop you occasionally because you end up meeting with the group before you if you go too fast (I always walk through these so quick!) which is nice so you don't just trail behind the previous group the whole time. Will definitely be back again, 10/10 recommend! read more

The customer service was great, the haunt was very long, but that's about it. Actors were below average, and the set design was very uninspired. Decent place to go if you're easily scared, otherwise, wouldn't recommend. read more

The haunted house trail through the woods was worth it. It had a lot of good scares and the actors were great. We went on a Saturday night and purchased tickets for 7:30 pm online. We had to wait in line for about 10 minutes but the line was much longer later at night. The only problem with the trail was that they put you together in groups of eight, and if you're not at the front then you probably won't get a lot of jump scares because you already know what's coming. The Witch Hunt wasn't really worth it... it lasted about 10 minutes and was really just people acting and talking to you. The trail is definitely worth it though, and lasted about 45 minutes. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Extremely disappointing. First off, they don't have groups spread out enough to the point you can see the "scares" coming in front. Every-time you think it's a good opportunity for a scare??? Nope, no scare coming. It's pretty much a long walk thru the woods with loud noises and nothing else. Find another haunted house to spend your money on. read more
