We moved into a house that had a contract with FE Moran. Not only were we heavily pressured by FE Moran to sign a contract as well, we were pressured by the previous homeowners. Apparently if we were to sign, the previous homeowners wouldn't be charged cancellation fees (which I've heard are not cheap). FE Moran texted relentlessly and when asked for a brochure of services offered, I was sent a shiny marketing page that had no information about their services. Not a fan. The previous homeowners maintained the security service our first month in the house. The steam from our shower set off the fire alarm. We shut the alarm off within 30 seconds. Nevertheless FE Moran gives us a call. I asked to cancel the call to the fire dept but the woman said that due to "martial law" they can't do that. Martial law has nothing to do with alarm systems. Pressure sales tactics, little information on the services provided, and no knowledge of the laws governing their business. Solid 1 star. read more

He also said that they want their customers to be a good fit to the company. I almost feel bad for the previous owners of my home that used FE Moran (in which by the way, now uses a new company). Well people if you are the fit they're looking for, good luck with that! BTW: I told Todd that I would take him up on that offer and use another security company. Winning!!!! I canceled my land line on March 31, 2017 and informed FE Moran of my decision to cancel so there was no way for them to monitor my security system. They continued to bill me and finally sent me to collection and put a ding on my credit score. They were very rude to me on the phone when I tried to inform them that they couldn't monitor my security if it wasn't hooked up to a land line. Very rude company and rude people. Use Simpli Safe instead of wasting your money on this outfit. read more

Our alarm service started out with TNT Alarms when they were bought out by FE Moran Security Solutions. Our contract was up and we were not going to renew because the monthly service fee of 51.99 and we needed to trim some of our expenses due to my husband being furloughed. Their sales associate in charge of their contracts talked my husband in resigning a contract for a 38.00 monthly service fee. We are now 3 months into the new contract and FE Moran continues to take the 51.99 +tax out of our bank account. My husband has called several times to get it straightened out but continues to get the run around, no returned calls or promises that it will be fixed but then the next month the same amount is deducted again. read more

Their monitoring service seems on par with other companies I have used. However, their customer service is poor. I had an issue with the alarm sounding randomly and called for advice. I was told I would need a service call. When the service man arrived he seemed quite surprised that he had been sent because all the system needed was a "reset." He left after less than a minute in my house, telling me the call center employee should have advised me to reset the system. When I received a $142 charge I complained to the company by email and never got a response. They appear to be more focused on getting billable services than on helping the customer. read more

we have been with f.e. moran since 2005. We were with Grosse Pointe Alarm when Moran bought them out. Moran's system is very "buggy." When the wireless goes out- they won't know if a burgler breaks in. But when I open the cover to reset the system, they know about that. We are having supervisory alerts on 3 wireless contacts 2-1/2 years after they were put in. I tried to call on Memorial day 2018, when we got 1:30 am supervisory alerts, and tried to get moran for a half hour and never got through. Moran is the perfect example of a large, national company buying a local provider and then screwing them up. Hey comcast-you've got some competition for worst customer service in America! read more

First off I called Monday June 8th 2020 and talked to the Lady that answered the phone I asked when my contract was up, She told me that I had been with them since 2012, which is right I moved and they moved the service for me which was OK and I continued the service, Why I was gone on Vacation my alarm was going off and my Stepson had to reset it I didn't even get a call so I calm down and call and Talked To Lenny on Monday June 8th and asked about a door bell and camera for outside He told me it would be 99.00 to install and raise my bill 7.00 a month and he said I will send over a contract and he told me my email he would send it to me I said yes that's my email. so I waited on the Quote , So now it"s Tuesday June 9th I sent a email asking about the Quote he said he was going to send over, Then I sent a email Tuesday morning asking about the quote .So I waited till 2 pm and called and told them just forget it just wanted to cancel the service and Lenny said well it will be 931.00 to stop the service cause I sign a new contract, I told No I didn't, I signed for them to move the system No one said anything about another three years To move the system Also Lenny said I didn't know that you wanted me to send the quote over I said yes I told you okay he rattled off my email I said that's right well Okay I will get it over to you I said great. Never came , When I asked to talk to the owner he told me that wouldn't help I said if he owns the company it wouldn't help? He said I would need to go up to someone higher up in his department Really ? he said they will call me. we will see if they can even do this, My power has went out no call, my alarm has went off no call's who is watching the alarm system's , Now shame on me for for not reading what I signed But when you been with a company that long you wouldn't think that they would try to mess you over That's putting it nicely , Don't waste your money or energy on this place, You will regret it , They were A great company before but know WOW IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY After further working with FE Moran I sign a new agreement with the company I was wrong and it was a misunderstanding the corrected the problem and made it right Thank You read more

We have had FE Moran for over 8 years, we've paid $50.00 a month that entire time. We have had many issues including the most recent one was garage doors not showing they were closed or alerting us 20 mins later. I've left many emails and also voicemails and never got a call back or any type of response. Today we got a message informing us of our upgrade options but never received anything about our issues. I spoke with Lennie and he informed me that they were going to 5g in December and we needed to upgrade to be able to still receive monitoring service, and if we didn't pay for the upgrade ($298.00) we wouldn't have any service but we would still have to pay $50.00 a month until our contract was done next summer. Or we could sign another 5 year contract and get a discount on the upgrade. This is ridiculous especially because we have given this company over $5000 over the years. To be told we have to spend even more money for a service that is everything except professional is a smack in the face. read more

Absolutely the worst alarm company. I would have preferred to give them 0 stars. Our original alarm company was bought out by them, so therefore, we didn't have a choice in going with them. They are extremely difficult to reach/deal with and they make it even more difficult to cancel service. read more
