The charges

I really didn't want to go in, but I have no choice but to do so. first and foremost this is not even an itemized list your charging me all kinda of fees and putting $955 when it should of been itemized with the price of whatever you're charging me for. Regarding the blinds I just paid $450 for faux wood blinds for my new home it was about 7 windows, and your charging me idk how much on that $955 for some flimsy cheap blinds yall put on, of course they going to get damaged they are CHEAP. I looked on amazon they are about $14-28 per blind bf. now yall wanting to charging me for the cabinets? I know yall not gonna replace the whole cabinet yall going to paint over whatever the adhesive tape pulled off the old paint. I had child locks the back of the lock was adhesive tape so I understand ripping the lock of might have pulled the paint off, this house still has cabinets from the 1990s nothing has been upgrade in this house.. what yall do is the landlord special and paint over some old cabinets... paint is $40-60 a gallon and I know yall not going to use a gallon to paint over 3 cabinet doors. nothing wrong with the closet doors they were in good condition I actually removed them so they wouldn't get damaged... but yeah go ahead and charge for putting back some doors lol cus nothing was damaged in that closet, another bogus charge. Lastly I paid $138 to get the drain fixed in the kitchen, which I told Nicole that I never even use the right side of the sink that's where I had my dish rack. Whoever fixed it didn't do a good job. So now they are recharging me $300... Regarding the utility's I don't have an issue with that bcus they say they suppose to be billing me every 3 months for utility's which I think they were consistent in the beginning then it stopped at one point they charged me 6 months in utility's which was over $1000 I'm glad I had the money at that time to make such a big payment. But that's where management dropped the ball. All I know is the owner of the property was fighting with the city regarding the water service and had nothing to do with me but I did use the utility's that's why I don't care about that charge, And all the other charges it's literally wear and tear. I'm not complaining about carpet or cleaning fee that's a regular standard charge , but now the $955 is bogus to me and some chargers on there is wear and tear. Honestly I had a good experience with management I never had issues and if I ever needed something fixed they were consistent, but I think once you move out everything changes. I already knew I wasn't getting nothing back, I had chucked it up as a loss along time ago I actually expected to get 0 back atp they should of kept their $14 I'm just glad I'm in a position in my life where I didn't need this deposit for another place or depended on it. Honestly now I know why they have a 2.4 rating and everyone on here saying the same thing when it comes to the deposit this company should actually be investigated. I'm giving yall a 2 rating bcus like I mentioned management was always nice... but I'm guessing it's their job to get the most money they can.... lol

×××SERIOUSLY BEWARE××× I have put in a work order a month ago, got halfway fixed. Going on 3 weeks Friday(in 2 days). I have beams that are exposed with a toilet lid missing, no bottom shelves in the kitchen. Ive called a few times in regards to the unit being finished and Always get is half ass responses!!! "I'll call you back" No one ever does I have to call them, like its my job to make sure I have a decent rental for my three year old. The lack of motivation to fix my unit is very concerning and shows their real interest in how they treat the tenants, Im very dissatisfied with FBS.

Being a first time landlord, I have no experience in knowing how to screen tenants, knowing the rules, etc., especially when my background is not in the real estate and rental business. Having a busy work schedule also means that I won't likely be able to attend to the tenant's needs in a timely manner. This is where Good Life fills in the gaps for me. The team at Good Life during the onboarding process has been super helpful and efficient in getting the property ready, whereas it would've taken me ages in trying to do it myself. I was assigned Andrei as my property manager and it's been a great start. He has been open, transparent, professional, and great to work with since the start. I recently had an online shopping shipment mis-delivered to my rental property, to which Andrei was instrumental in helping to coordinate the handoff between the tenant and me. Even though Andrei is my primary contact, I can see that they have great teamwork. On one weekend, I had a question to which I received an out-of-office note from him. But rest assured, another team member stepped in that day during his time off to help with my question. Good Life also has a great online portal for me to see all the documents and tax information. Their services have impressed me since the beginning, and I look forward to a great relationship moving forward. Keep up the great work, Good Life! I highly recommend them!

This place is the worst! i was notified in the beginning of January this place would be available…read morefor an in-person tour around February 10th. So comes around February 9th and i have yet to hear from them regarding the unit i was inquiring about to rent. So i emailed them again and received no response from the lady name "Lisa" whom I've been emailing back and forth about the unit that was available for leasing. Since i still had the unit saved as my favorite in the app, on Apartments i decided to message them there to see if ill get a response about the unit.. to my shocking surprise waiting around for that unit to be available, it was no longer available for renting! instead they asked if i was looking to rent the studio or the 1br.. in this case no! Then they have the audacity to text me and say they have a 2br unit available at their Grossmont location!! This is unacceptable!! Who the hell want to move to Grossmont!? they are the worst leasing company ever to work with!! My recommendation is either view the unit on the spot or look elsewhere.. if u get the run-around from them like i did.. dong even bother.

Borderline discriminatory tactics used when reviewing applications. Another person mentioned…read morethat, too...maybe more than one. There are strict guidelines under the FEHA outlined under the CRD. The rental agents may want to review those on detail before the CRD does. I lived there....it appears that some people never got call backs after handing in their application fees and their applications. That is strange, also, because an applicant is entitled to a copy of everything a rental agency finds out about that applicant. Anyway, move on to a place that respects you. This is NOT AN ELITE PROPERTY AS IT CLAIMS TO BE.
