After ten years with another irrigation company I tried Fazio-Traina which charged a fraction of the price for service. Unfortunately, the technicians failed to blow out the system properly when shutting it down last fall. When they turned on the system this spring several key and expensive components were broken and system was inoperable, requiring major repairs. Rather than replacing certain broken components they simply removed them, leaving a functioning but far inferior setup. Adding insult to injury, they charged me for the repairs. Lesson learned; I've gone back to the other company. read more

We've had Fazio-Traina servicing our building for at least a decade, and our experience with them has been a mixed bag. There have been times when we wanted special work from them and they gave us the run-around and wasted our time, not unlike some of the other reviewers giving one-stars here. Just recently, though, we got a team to come out and do a couple hours of adjustments to our system, and they were actually pretty good about it. So, I guess if your expectations are set low enough you could give them a try, and you might be pleasantly surprised. read more

We made an appointment to have a service repairman assess what we needed on our existing lawn sprinkler system. We needed to move one of the sprinkler heads on the front lawn about 4 feet and that was the extent of the service call needed... The technician that arrived informed my husband that the total cost would be $195. My husband asked him if there were any additional costs, to which heresponded no,that that was the total. When the bill arrived it's in excess of $330 because they charged for a new sprinkler head which I'm not sure we even needed and the $75 service call which for other repair situations is usually absorbed into the total service call if you go forward with the work required. We knew from the start that we would not spend $300 to $400 to move one sprinkler head a total distance of 4 feet it literally took the gentleman 20 minutes to complete the work this Is absurd and we will never use them again read more

I found Fazio Traina to be very efficient and reliable. They installed a 3 zone system for me about 6 months ago. They came recommended by my gardener of more than 20 years. I found their prices competitive, and their workmanship excellent. A +. When I needed some of the heads adjusted they were johnny-on-the-spot. Ditto when I messed up the automatic timer "just a little bit". They sent a man to my house immediately. When I messed up the timer "(just a little bit") for the second time they were able to talk me through a re-set over the phone. (Now I'm an expert). They offered to stop by, but I told them it wasn't necessary. Service, A +. Today, while looking for their number on the internet, I noticed some poor reviews. That's what made me write this review. Anyway . . . I found their number and called them to have them turn off my system for the winter. They were at my door within 5 or 10 minutes. My system is off, drained, flushed with air, whatever. All's good. Again, an A+. I would recommend these guys to anyone. They really know what they're doing, and they do it very well. read more

I was recommended to Fazio by my gardener recently and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with my experience considering some of the reviews I have read. The girls in the office have been nothing but nice to me and have tried the best they can to accommodate me to the best of their ability. Working as a secretary myself I understand how difficult it can be to deal with clients especially under certain circumstances. In regards to the service (since my install in July I have had one issue but no system is perfect) the guys have come within the 2 hour time frame they schedule in and were in and out quickly and efficiently. With pricing, you get what you pay for and with my experience and the experience of a few friends who also use Fazio, it is worth it! Keep up the good work, will continue to recommend. read more

They just installed an irrigation system in our front and back yards and did a fantastic job! They came after we'd landscaped and some of the job required them to remove flowers we'd planted and they did a great job putting them back in place. Very professional, arrived on time, and quoted an extremely reasonable price. Highly recommended! read more

Run away!!! not worth the headache.... had an appt for an estimate and when i called asking where the tech was i was told "he already went to your house and did the estimate" i found it very unsettling to hear someone was walking around my yard without even ringing my bell or notifying me. felt like there was a peeping tom or something. i also didn't understand how someone could do an estimate on someones house without even talking to the home owner to find out what they wanted done. all of those should have been enough of a warning sign to run away, but i didn't listen to myself. i decided to give them a second chance - only cause they were the only company i knew of. after weeks of calling and leaving messages, and sadly taking it out on the poor girls who work there. (i never felt worse for someone then the people who worked in that office) i was half taken back and horrified to find out this unprofessional technician that walked around my home without me knowing he was there, was in fact the owner!!! seems this man is 1) never in the office 2) scared to ring door bells 3) scared to pick up a phone or unsure how to use one. since i never once talked to him. it was always a game of "hold please" as the girl would call him and relay a message, like a game of telephone you would play as a child. after almost a month of calling to find out how much the system would cost i was told a much higher number i expected, and didn't even know why since i still at this point was unable to talk to anyone as to what would be done to my yard. i was told to email all my questions since i clearly had a lot. (i found this part funny, this "tech"/owner didn't know how to use his phone but he could answer emails on it) none of my questions got fully answered but i kept getting told to pay in cash. after being told to pay in cash the red flag finally went up. I'm used to companies offering a better deal if you offer to pay cash, but to be told you have to pay cash sounds VERY shady. what was even shadier was when i drove by the store - it looked empty and as if it has been closed for years. i see the trucks all around, however i do not know or trust whoever is in charge of them. save yourself the headache and run away..i have since found another company - they aren't the only ones out there after all! read more

Scheduled for a tech to come out and check my sprinkler system. They told me it would cost $75 for a service call. I thought it was high without even knowing what the problem is, but I agreed. I scheduled a few appts; one with regular technician, one with lead technician, and one with an owner. Its been weeks and I haven't gotten a callback. They only started to listen when I was getting very agitated over the phone. It should not have gotten to that point. They need to work on customer service, communication, and truthfully saying if they cover the services they suggest. I was told they know well systems for sprinklers, but they do not. They would rather say yes they do, but did not come through at the end. read more

No stars. Yelp made me use a star to post review. They should not be in business. Stay away. Your lawn will be brown. They want to install but they do service. The parts are inferior. Like the other review says, the women who work here are the best part. They are courteous and professional. The managers could take a note from their playbook. We have used Fazio-Traina for 3 years now and we are going elsewhere. I called them to repair a broken head/line that was flooding in one spot. The guy came (without knocking...so I never knew he was here...seems to be a pattern of theirs) and claimed to have fixed it. A week later the flooding was so bad that dirt was massing on the sidewalk so I had to turn off the system. I called FT to find out what happened. They never apologized only said that it was their "best" guy so he must have done the job right. I asked if they would send someone again to look at it with me to make sure they fixed the right one. Now they are saying they won't send anyone until we pay for the service. Why would I pay for a "repair" that either was shoddy or performed in the wrong place? It's like they are holding the sprinkler system hostage. There are other companies that have better reviews (and better prices frankly) so avoid this one. Wish I'd done my homework sooner. read more

I interviewed a number of companies. Based on poor reviews, they where the last people I contacted. They where the best. Called to make the appointment. They came right over (Brooklyn). My plan was to think about it first, before making any decision. The owner (Frank) gave me complete confidence- "This is what we are going to do". An army of guys show up- Did everything they said they where going to do-I was not around to fully supervise. I asked for a few changes here and there- No attitude, they just did it. read more

Great in Scamming money out of folks! they install systems that break twice a season---then you are charged for opening closing maintenance fixing ---you end up paying four times for nothing! they created a model of getting 500 yearly out of your pocket ( that BESIDES the installation that cost in the thousands.
