I am glad I found these guys! I moved into new home last year. The previous owners were oversold on a system by one of the biggest outfits in the area. The amount of overlap and redundancy was obscene. I wanted to move, add, and remove heads. The work was done right and on time for reasonable price. J&A Sprinklers came to me recommended by friend who has used them for years. The woman in the office was friendly and got right back to me. I needed a new irrigation system setup for the house, and the installation went smoothly. The communication, installation, and follow-up were executed flawlessly. They even updated the system for me, free of charge. What I appreciate the most about them is they were honest and pointed out an issue with one of the heads they installed, promised to change it, and followed through the next day. This is not a company I would ever do business with again. Initially, had them come to check/open the sprinkler system. A month later there was a problem. They said it would be another service fee ($65.00). The worker, John was rude and nasty. The next day, the system was not working - they said it would be $225.00. You all know the saying "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me". They are not reputable, honorable, nor do they stand behind their work. Don't use this company I made an appointment and waited almost a month for it and they didn't show up and then claim they did. If they had my dog would've been going crazy and I would have known. The woman who answers the phone picks up and says hold on and leaves you on hold for literally 5 minutes. I had to call back 3 times. How they let her represent them is beyond me as another reviewer posted. Her manager wouldn't come to the phone. Now I am stuck. read more

Do not use J & A Irrigation. They cancel more then they actually show up. Not accommodating after they cancel. Once they canceled on me 4 times to turn my sprinkler on. My lawn died in the meantime. Called for irrigation sprinkler service and was advised to replace irrigation timer. After technician Julio left I reviewed the receipt which read" system fine, customer complains about everything" well if the system is fine then why are you gouging money from my 90 year old grandmother to replace the timer? Crooks! Shame on you! What does she complain about? She doesn't even speak English. read more

I hired J & A last summer to install a new 360 degree sprinkler in my front lawn. It failed to cover properly, and they returned to adjust the head. It still didn't cover properly, but it was the end of the season. This year I made the mistake of calling them back. I had to pay for the adjustment. I returned from the hospital to find the grass next to the curb to be 95% dead. When I contacted J & A, I was told that I would have to pay for a service call. I asked that the owner call me to discuss this, as I was not willing to pay three times for the same service. Of course he never called. There's an obvious reason why J & A is not a member of the "Home Advisor" network. Home Advisor screens their contractors to verify that they are reputable. read more

UPDATE: I just want to follow up with a new review on J&A. Upon speaking with the owner, we were able to amicably and professionally work out what we both felt was a fair solution to my initial problem of being over charged for a service. He absolutely agreed that there was an over charge on my bill and I fully understand that this can and does happen. However, the outcome does not always work in the consumers favor. Well in the case with J&A, Jack was more than willing to adjust the price and stated that he did not want to lose any customer let alone one that has been loyal thru the years. Oversights happen and Jack did the right thing and therefore I in turn needed to update my review. I appreciate a company that cares about their customers as well as taking accountability so THANK YOU! read more

I've been using J & A for the last 10 years. They installed my system and maintain it. I have never had a problem with them. Same lady always answers the phone, and always the same guys come back for maintenance. Their prices are equal to what most others charge. read more

I am so disappointed in this company. We had our sprinkler installed and they did a good job with that, but as previous reviews state, they seriously overcharge for the services. They give you an appointment time window and have been no call:no show, not reliable at all. Wouldn't recommend this company. read more
