This is the only happening place around…read more I highly recommend it. 10 Euro cover, but then you'll get a ticket for a free drink, which costs at least 7, even for a Red Bull. I think it's just to keep deadbeats out...which they are very paranoid about. Anyone not holding a drink (unless they're on the dance floor) gets accosted by security, and that's weird to me, but nothing that should stop anyone from having fun. It gets packed. The hip hop and trance is blaring. Everyone I talked to was excited to kick it with a couple of Americans...because I guess we have a reputation for binge drinking. An IRISH guy told me so. It's a gritty Irish pub by day, and a booming, bouncing club at night. Seemingly the only hip place within a 2 kilometer radius, and that's why it draws an awesome crowd.

Three stars for the music alone…read more I loved it. The music was such an eclectic mix of goodness I couldn't believe it. They played a wide variety of new hits both American and French, and a lot of great older stuff too. Literally everything from House of Pain to Hanson (YES, Mmmbop! I saw French people dancing to Mmmbop!), to Sinatra's "New York, New York" mixed with Jay-Z's "New York", which was fantastic! Two stars lost for: 1. WAY too crowded. I got stepped on/fallen on several times.Granted I have a pretty low tolerance for large groups of drunk people, but it was too much for me. 2. Drinks were way too expensive. I paid seven euro for a vodka cranberry that looked like it was in a kiddie glass, and I couldn't even taste the vodka. AND it was "Ladies Night" and cocktails were supposed to be five. Last time I checked cranberry juice + vodka = cocktail. That being said, you don't need to drink to dance to that music. I would go again when I'm feeling up to the crowd.

It was Erasmus night so it's perfect for thieves, they like to take advantage of foreigners. It is Paris so you have to be careful anywhere I guess. Just sharing my experience.

As a preface, I'm an American (Texan) who was studying abroad in Paris over the summer…read more I LOVE LE MIX. All of my friends who came with me (guys and girls) LOVE Le Mix. We went on 5 different Thursdays - and had a blast each time. It's an international club so you can get these flag stickers showing which country you're from....yes, most people lie and pick a way cooler country, but it's in the spirit of things! The music has a lot of variety. Top 40, latino, random europe stuff - all of it has a fast beat though. It's definitely a dance club on Thursdays so if you're into house music or trance, this place is not for you. I have never been to a club where I liked music THIS much ANYWHERE in the world. That's saying something. The drinks are pricey - but they are the cheapest in any club we found. 8 euro liquor drinks, 5 euro beer, and 3 euro shots (we obvs only got shots ha). The reason I dock a star is because the bartenders had some serious euro-tude! We asked for water and he asked for 5 euro. That's a little much. Overall, I am writing this review so the next confused American girl can find it and know YES, I will have fun here! Because you will...everyone does. It's loud, it's exciting, it's PARIS!

Seriously one of the best clubs I've been to, especially for its size…read more I went on a Monday night and had a great experience in almost every way. (1) The prices are unbelievable (or were in Monday night): no cover charge, 1€ bag check, 6€ for what I think was an entire liter of beer, 3€ shots. Even in Spain that would be a bargain, let alone the middle of Paris. (2) The hours served me really well. I'm always happy to find a club open on weekday evenings. Things were already moving at about 10:00 (very early by European standards). (3) The people were partying! When I arrived there were only about a dozen, but the dancing was very on. Some other clubs seem to wait until the room is packed and the people are drunk, but these people were at it from the beginning. It was almost entirely guys and girls in their early 20s, possibly a couple more guys than girls at the time, but not a huge disparity and possibly a fluke. (4) The music wasn't great but it did the trick. Bunch of over-popular US songs (mostly rock and some hip-hop) mixed with some French numbers. No real DJ work going on but hey, it was party music and it had the people moving. All in all, this is a gem. It's almost certainly a local spot mostly unknown to tourists, which is why it's so subtle, so underpriced, and so concentrated with local energy.

I wanted to love this place, I did. Especially when I heard about it through a friend of a friend…read morewho was actually flown to Paris to spend 3 months helping David Lynch himself design and execute the space before it opened. So, of course, we simply HAD to go check it out on our trip to Paris. Anything David Lynch is part of, I want to see/experience. However, it did not deliver. Sure it was dark (it's a crazy 4-6 stories below ground), but it is mysterious & chic? Well, given that those with a membership can enter from 6p-11p and enjoy it privately and the public can enter after 11p and the public that lines up beginning at 11p kinda ruins the whole vibe, the answer would be a hard no. We arrived and on one side was a line for the dreaded "bottle service" - those willing to pay hundreds and thousands of €, to sit inside a velvet roped area inside the club, Gross. Strike one. We got into the line on the other side, where the bouncers were acting like it was a cross between Studio 54 and an exclusive rap club. They were hassling locals, making them sweat to get in. Then, when it's our turn, they immediately recognize that we're non-locals and speak English to us. They were actually cordial, but said "Good evening sir - - €25 each!" Ugh, strike two. After descending into the cavernous space, which is actually pretty cool, you quickly realize it very small and the seating is all bottle service/"VIP". Then you also realize the crowd is not the hip, creative cognoscenti of Paris, but rather the Parisian version of frat boys and sorority girls, that have zero interest in art, culture and likely have zero idea who David Lynch is. Strike three. Am I glad I went to see it, sure, but I think we stayed 45 mins tops. Ugh.
