I had a great experience at Fat Duck Tavern. I ordered a Caeser Salad and soup, both were fantastic. I will be back for a date night!

We returned for Father's Day and we were seated immediately without a reservation, though I think we just got lucky so I don't recommend this. We all shared the warm olives, the croquet poulet sandwich, the fries, the quiche lorraine, the chateubriand, the roasted beets, and the strawberry ice cream. It was all a hit, and when a 3.5-year-old and a 22-month-old are enjoying your food without any coaxing or help, you know it's fabulous! My husband got some cocktail and I got the phony Negroni mocktail. Service was great and the atmosphere is chic without being uptight or snobby at all. We all left really happy. I still dream about that sandwich. I'd love to go back and try other things on the menu. I'm sure they knock everything out of the park. I am hoping Le Mazet will be our special occasion restaurant.

When we arrived we were seated at a beautiful booth. The interior is gorgeous here. Our server was fantastic I wish I remembered his name! He suggested some great items. We started with their steak frites and I cannot rave more about it! First this plate is definitely shareable. Among myself, my husband and young toddler we destroyed this. My daughter was eating so much of this steak and so were we! It was sooo tender and we loved the gravy on top. The fries were amazing and when they were drenched in that gravy it was chefs kiss! What really brought it all the together was the salad paired with it- it was light and refreshing and the dressing was so good! For dessert our server suggested the chocolate custard so we got that and a berry handpie. We ate both and kept saying "oh my god" with each bite. My daughter especially loved the chocolate custard but my husband and I loved both equally! We immediately said after our meal how we have to come back. We cannot wait to try other menu items and their cocktails next time. We are huge fans and will definitely be back!!

Came here on Halloween evening after a wedding for our friends!…read more We had the back event room set up and started with an appetizer tray platter of shrimp cocktail, and Oysters with all the fixings. The servers were also passing cornbread with delectable chipotle butter and chicken skewers We then had a lovely 4 course meal! I started with Bella Bella Wings Crispy double fried wings, fried garlic, atchara, Pinakurat vinegar, calamansi. These were very good and the dipping sauce had a nice vinegar kick Crispy Brussels sprouts, whipped herb crème fraiche, pretzel crumb, mustard vinaigrette, kielbasa was the next plate served. I LOVE the crispness of the brussel when cooked to perfection, almost like crisps For dinner, I had the Bella Bella Half Chicken which was a fall cassoulet with Young Farms heirloom beans, root vegetables, duck bacon and chicken sausage. I was a fan of the chicken but wanted to try something new. I had to bring my dinner home at this point because I was so full and wanted dessert. For dessert we had a Tres Leches Tiramisu; Mascarpone, tres leches soaked lady fingers with cocoa powder. My wife got the Salted Caramel crème brûlée, and it was to die for! Both the deserts are very good. Overall, the Laurel does their job perfection. The servers make sure that everybody had everything they needed and kept coming around and checking on the guests. There is parking around back, so it's only a short walk to the front

The crab was delicious and tasted fresh. The fries were good. Huge portion. They were perfectly seasoned. The Kinilaw was so good. Very light and I loved the touch of spice. My stepdad got the burger which was massive and boy was it tasty. The Bella Bella wings were good too, and were paired with something similar to a papaya salad. Lastly we got the pumpkin olive oil cake. I was intrigued because it sounded fall festive. It was so good. Similar to carrot cake however I wasn't a big fan of the sauce with it. It was a tart almost apple-like sauce made from Roger's Orchards. Everything was served family styled. Every entree was very delicious and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, they don't mess around with the serving sizes. Almost every dish had a bit of a kick (of spice) too. I almost wish the menu would signal when a dish had a bit of a bite because I can usually handle my spice, but these dishes definitely snuck up on me. I was a little confused by the art on the walls as they were French influenced, however the dishes were several blends of cultures including Thai, American and Filipino. Overall, this was really good. You can tell they make their food with love and everything is very intentional. This place was also very busy on a Friday night but not overly crowded, there were absolutely no waits for our food.

Can a restaurant be this good consistently? All the yes…read more I recently went back for a quick lunch and was floored by how good their pastas still are. I had the gnocchi with sausage and broccoli rabe and I wanted to eat it in mini bites to savor every morsel. It's just creamy and melt in mouth delicious. A little salty, a little savory, just a little slight bitter of the broccoli rabe that just works in the best way. Service was professional and attentive. Treva remains a standout in the Center and a must visit for anyone. Top tier.

To the point where trying to get in to the table my purse knocked over a water glass and it smashed. I'm not large either. Anyway. First time here I felt my dish was much better. I had the Branzino and it was great. This time I had the fruitta de mare and the sauce was extremely bland. Dish felt dried out. Not enough variety of seafood either. Mostly mussels and calamari. Was presented in a weird dish too. I did not care for it at all. They gave me gnocchi for gluten free pasta. It was fine just sauce was bland as mentioned. My boyfriend loved his Orrechiete and it was very good. I will say from the mozzarella bar we had the burrata and the tomatoes were flavored beautifully and the bread also looked quite nice. Bf said it was great. Giving Treva a 4 for last time it was great and everything other than my entree this time was good.

I chose to get the veggie burger with fries and my boyfriend got the outlaw burger smashed with eggplant fries. The veggie burger was made in house and excellent, but definitely needed two hands and many napkins to eat. It was the perfect amount of spicy. The fries are shoe string and crispy and delicious. They also had fantastic, soft gluten free buns which is rare to find. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger, too. He also loved my fries (typical) and his fries. My boyfriend also got a strawberry milkshake that he said was excellent. I had a strawberry mojito and it was STRONG but good. Definitely made the drink worth the money. The only thing I didn't like on the plate was the pickles. The waitress said they were made in house "bread and butter" style but they kind of just tasted like honey. I'm a pickle lover and these ones did not do it for me. The resturant itself was comfortable (with their own parking lot which is rare in West Hartford) but I didn't love the layout. It kind of reminded me of a church community center with a bunch of tables in a basement and not the best artwork. Compared to other Max locations, this one's decor was a little lack luster. I also did not love that there was a charge to have my fries prepared in a separate gluten free fryer. That being said, this was a solid, higher end burger restaurant with a unique menu and plenty of non-burger options.

We were initially quoted a 30-minute wait for a table, but ended up waiting a full hour. I…read moreunderstand that wait times can be difficult to predict, but being off by 30 minutes is a pretty significant difference, especially when you're dining with hungry children. Once seated, we received our drinks in a timely manner. My friend briefly stepped away to use the restroom, so she texted me her food order. The server came over just two minutes after she left, and I placed both of our orders. We actually have the timestamp to confirm when the order was taken. After waiting 40 minutes with no food, the kids were understandably crying because they were starving. At that point, we had to ask for a manager to find out what was going on. Rather than acknowledging the excessive wait or offering an explanation, the manager told me that we had only placed our order 20 minutes earlier, essentially suggesting that I was exaggerating the timeline. She then assured me the food would be out soon. When I asked what "soon" meant, she told me another 10-15 minutes. So even according to her timeline, we were expected to wait another 10-15 minutes for pancakes and eggs after already waiting 20 minutes? And in reality, we had already been waiting 40 minutes. Mistakes and delays happen. I understand that restaurants get busy, and I don't expect everything to run perfectly. What made this experience particularly frustrating was the lack of accountability and the manager's dismissive response when we simply asked for an explanation.

Lots of good options on the menu, clean and well decorated, and our party of 6 was immediately sat at 6 on a Saturday night. Service was very slow and the food came out in waves. The waitress said they got slammed and while it had gotten busier, they seemed like they were filled a normal amount and let's be honest it was a Saturday night, it's when a restaurant should be at its busiest. We had a number of mehs about the food but these were the main ones. My mom's salmon salad came out significantly after everyone else's and included a few items she'd asked for on the side. She did say the salmon itself was excellent. My wife and I both ordered truffle fries but neither came with them (not sure if we were charged or not). I'd ordered a side of blackberry bbq sauce that sounded excellent but it never materialized and it seemed too bothersome to ask. My Bodega Chopped Cheese sandwich was absolutely terrible. I can allow for some creative freedom in cooking but it was terrible execution. A dry hamburger patty cooked in full cut into a few chunks, and thrown on a massive roll with a slice of raw cheese over it. I've been wanting to try these for years and there were no photos of this dish on here, had I seen it I would have ordered something else. Maybe we caught them on a bad night or ordered wrong and I hate leaving negative reviews, but I don't think I'll be coming back.
