Tucked away in a strip mall , adjacent to a bank and Jewel Food store, is a real solid choice for Mexican food. Steak burrito dinner was excellent. Big pieces of tender steak and good beans and rice. Chips were above average, crispy yet not greasy. One word of caution, the Margaritas were not good. Really not good. They are cheap, but it is obvious they are using the cheapest booze they can find. Choose something else or stick with the food. Despite the bad margaritas, we look forward to trying more items on the menu. There seems to be a lot of choices for Mexican in the area, but this place is a standout. We will be back...soon! read more

Tried Fat Burrito Saturday pm. It was busy and crowded so we ordered food to go. I ordered the regular burrito, pork with no sour cream and my partner ordered the chile relleno burrito. The service was fast and friendly enough, they were very busy. Food came out pretty fast. I wasn't thrilled with my burrito though. It was super wet, almost like it had spaghetti sauce inside of it. The flavor was okay, but you could not taste anything except for whatever sauce they used. I am used to West Coast burritos where the pork is usually carnitas and there is salsa in the burrito. This was not carnitas, and they had told me that when I ordered. However, I have never had a burrito that was so liquid inside. My partner enjoyed her burrito. The only thing she didn't like was that there were not enough beans. I would order differently and try to find an open table so I could eat in next time around. I think Fat Burrito has promise and I want to try it again. read more

I really enjoyed this place. My husband and I stopped in to order togo. He always orders a giant burrito and they delivered. Reason for the 4 stars is he said the flavor was lacking. Food is excellent! But DO NOT order from a delivery app (Door Dash, Grubhub, etc). They do not have any agreements with the restaurant, so the menus don't communicate. The owner himself told me you must call them directly and pick up your order. Otherwise the delivery app people have to go in and order it for you, and according to the restaurant staff "always get it wrong and you get the wrong order." This is what happened to us. I ordered $40 worth of food, however the door dasher ordered 4 $2 tacos for a total of ~$10. I'm guessing they pocketed the remaining money for themselves. Fat Burrito told me there was nothing they could do because my payment was handled through DoorDash. We learned our lesson and will only order directly through Fat Burrito from now on! read more

I love this place im from NYC my boyfriend is from DF (mexico city) born and raised and he said Indiana tacos are superior than those of new york. I agree. He said they taste more authentic. Wow! Super good! I wish I would have thought about taking a picture of my husbands meal. He got the fat burrito with steak and chorizo. Best chorizo I've had, probably, ever. I ended up eating quite a few bites of his meal and not finishing mine(I got tacos. Although very good, I regretted my choice). And not to mention it was HUGE and covered is queso sauce. We sort of accidentally stopped here during our travel from central Wisconsin to southern Indiana. We checked out the reviews and it seemed great. We like non-major chain restaurants, and decided to try here. They have three locations, all within about 15-20 miles of each other. Great service as well! read more

Fat burrito was so good when CP didn't have any other Mexican food options. Their prices have gone up and their tacos have gotten smaller. Not so sure if its my favorite Mexican restaurant any longer. With many quality restaurants coming to CP, fat burrito should be on notice to compete, I personally use to order all the time. I stopped here on a whim a few weeks ago. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this turned out to be a hidden gem. The servers are wonderfully friendly and things move pretty quickly in terms of service. The food has massively large portions, and it is so good. I've lived in Texas and Southern California, so my standards for Mexican food are pretty high. I've really struggled finding some good Mexican food in the area, but this is really authentic and well flavored. I tried the fat burrito, and it lives up to its name! I got three meals out of one burrito. The next time I came, I got the taco salad. It had so much meat and other things on it. It was really delicious. Solid place, good food at a good price for the portion you get. Of course like every other Mexican joint, you get chips and salsa when you sit down. The chips were... well they were chips. The salsa was great though, just a bit of spiciness and they added some fresh chopped cilantro in it which set it apart from some of the other similar places in the area. I ordered the Chicken Burrito with Spanish Rice, my lovely companion had ordered the Steak version. Burritos are pretty giant - even for the regular sized ones. Stuffed just the right amount so you don't have some sloppy mess on your plate after the first bite. I thought the chicken was delicious and the other ingredients in the burrito were perfectly proportioned to each other. I got a couple bites of the Steak Burrito too, also absolutely om nom nom good. Spanish rice was OK for me but, nothing too special. It was a good accompaniment to the burrito though. Service was good, food came out fast and hot, the restaurant itself was kinda small, but it seemed like the majority of the patrons were getting take out. This my favorite spot right now. Hands down. You have to try the puffy tacos. It's like an in between on a sope and a tamale. You won't regret it. You might regret not getting more. All really good with great flavors. I've also had the tampiquena. This is probably the only thing I wouldn't order again. It was delicious but overpriced for the serving they offer. The rice and beans are just average but really I can't think of anywhere I gush over rice and beans. Maybe I just don't really like rice and beans...
