I Doordashed from this place for the first time a few days ago and I honestly, with how well priced everything is(especially for doordash) I didn't have super high hopes. But let me tell you, expectations were met. I ordered the quesabirria tacos and beef nachos. Both things arrived incredibly fresh and well packaged. The portions were just right and the flavors were well done. I know that it may seem like a trivial thing, but my sour cream and guac were still cold on my nachos when it arrived lol. That makes a difference to me! Thank you for a lovely meal! I will absolutely order again! If you live in the area, give them a go! I think you'll be a repeat customer like myself! 10/10 read more

My favorite taco place Consistent in quality and flavor My family each has their own favorites but for me, the carne asada tacos simply can't be beat Portions are great Price is fair read more

I've been coming here every Tuesday for 3 years. Carnitas tacos for $1.50 on Tuesday. So delicious. The only thing I've had here that I found to be average was chips and salsa (which are not free btw). So skip the unlimited calories of free chips and just get the tacos. After the carnitas tacos which are my favorite, I recommend the grilled veggies taco. Also they won the 2023 taco cook-off In Laporte Indiana. So there's that. read more

My fiancée and I order from here frequently and th4 food is always on point, the service impeccable, the staff is always friendly (even as busy as they were earlier) and the food is always done on time! I've been going here for years and just wanted to boost that review rating!! Ty for all you do! read more

Soooo good! My bowl was supposed to be steak and it was ground beef. Still really good as always

I would give this place 4 stars based on the several times I have eaten. It is standard Mexican dishes fairly authentic. This place has good quality steak for its steak tacos. Not gristly or improperly cut up. Its grilled chicken tacos are also good, but not really grilled, they are sautéd on a flat iron grill, so they lack the taste I was looking for. However, good quality white meat as opposed to random chicken. The ground beef tacos are nicely seasoned. The pico de gallo is fresh and refreshing (but the last order we got was WAY over salted, likely a new chef being trained---- they need to taste this stuff before it goes out) the refried beans and rice are standard stuff for most restaurants (again this last experience was over salted- the owner should taste test each batch). They offer flour and corn tortillas but I think they are pre made as are the chips.... I wish more places understood how they would stand out with homemade tortillas and home made chips. read more

Secretary would get tacos for us on Tuesdays. Wife and I went for dinner in. Long wait and was not worth it. Furnished poorly. Not a comfortable experience. Have not returned. read more

My go to Taco joint. Friendly staff, great Mexican food at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is not impressive but the place is always clean. I will keep coming back. read more

The owners are amazing and the food is always great. I have taken many friends there as well and nobody has ever been disappointed.

This place is pretty good! The burrito had lots of meat and was very flavorful! Everything is decently priced and the portions were a nice size too. They have $1 tacos on Tuesdays and $4.99 burritos on Mondays. I can't wait to come back to this place again. read more

I really only come here for the pastor. It's the best! Would of been a 5 star rating but they don't give enough hot/mild sauce. One for 3 tacos, and charge for chips and salsa. read more

Ate via door dash mine and my wife's food was awful steak taco dinner and a torta dinner. I will never eat there again

Friendly service, food was very well priced for what you get. I ordered the taco salad with carnitas - very flavorful and I could eat that shell all day. Hubby got the Barbacoa tacos, which he loved. We also got the chips and queso - which was good, the cheese was a little soupy but flavorful. We will definitely be back. read more

This place is horrible from a burrito point of view little meat no flavor all beans and expensive! Let's go into detail Meat big chucks, no flavor, little tough Beans too watery for a ritto no flavor Cheese is cheese can't screw that up They forgot to add cilantro I asked for Tortilla was sub par and thin and flanky The burrito had a lemon-y flavor to it which was gross There are other places to go for a ritto I wouldn't suggest this place and should be closed my end of this year or beginning of next read more

Great food and always had pretty good service. But, i really wanted to share that today the gentleman that took my order did a great job and read back my order, and the young lady who gave me my order had such a pleasant smile that seems to be rare at restaurants read more

Recently moved to the area, I am from Chicago I have to say this place has good tacos I haven't tried anything else but it was a good fix.

So far the only local place I've been where the Al Pastor tacos have pineapple as they should. The tacos were good - not super amazing, not bad - i'd eat them again. The chips were not very good. The salsa was decent (I had the mild which had a little kick to it but not enough to scare my kids away). read more

I for one have always been picky when purchasing Mexican food. I've grown up with homemade authentic Mexican food. But, the food is good. Tends to be really greasy and is soaked with grease depending on who's cooking that day. Overall, it is a good place to eat and get tacos and quesadillas. The tacos are pricy but the quesadilla is worth it for the size they give you. read more

Best tacos I have ever had! We eat here almost weekly! Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

How this place has 4 stars is beyond me. The only good thing I can say that is positive is the salsa was good. Beans are bland, rice was dry, chips where bland, and the burrito was terrible. I ordered an Al Pastor burrito. It was under seasoned, or you might say not seasoned at all. There was almost no flavor in the meat or the burrito itself, the meat was mush, and the only flavor was overcooked liquified pineapple as if it sat in a slow cooker all day and was microwaved. I actually threw it away after a few bites because the blandness combined with the mushy texture was so unappealing. I would rather go to Taco Bell. Al Pastor is typically slow cooked, you can do it in a slow cooker, however you are not supposed to cook it into mush and it should be broiled to add a nice crispness. Maybe find some salt for the food too... read more

I don't know why this place is rated so highly. Yelp let me down in my search for good Mexican fare. The serving staff was friendly. However, the steak tasted like hamburger meat. The hot sauce couldn't save it. Edible, but I have to think there is better Mexican food in Portage. Perhaps just an off day? Perhaps not. read more

Quick, friendly and tasty. This was our first time trying Tocayos and we were pleasantly surprised. The counter was friendly and the Mexican style tacos and enchiladas were delicious. We'll definitely return. read more

no stars. their employees are very nice but the food is microwaved and never fresh. it tastes so nasty. I spoke to a manager before and he was extremely Short and blunt about everything. Didn't even know if their food has certain things in it as I'm allergic to a lot of basic foods. read more

I had not been to Tocayos before but they came highly recommended from a friend of a friend. We used them to cater an event for about 65 people last night and I can't say enough good things. Miguel and his staff were fantastic to work with - very informative and the process was simple and professional. We had everything delivered and it arrived exactly as ordered and a few minutes early! Most importantly it was delicious. We would absolutely use them again! read more

Best tocos we ever had. I used to work in Chicago and I have had some excellent ones. These are definitely the best. Also, they have Barbacoa and Pastor! That's not easy to find and it's amazing. So whether you live in the area or are passing though, this place is a must try!!! (Our favorite is corn shells with any meat and combo of Mexican and American toppings). read more

Yum! Carne asada tacos here are the best, so are the elotes. We also enjoyed chips and salsa with our order and portions are generous. All the employees seemed very COVID conscious and wore masks and social distanced at all times while we were picking up the order. We got takeout but it looked like the restaurant was very clean and the tables open for indoor dining were spread out. I'll be going back for taco Tuesday! read more

Man these are goods tacos. I've got the beef in flour tortilla and my girlfriend tried the steak in flour. They are both great tasting. I like the beef better. I literally went to this place 2days in a row and twice in one day, it's so good. I like Mexican style better than American but both are great. I believe this place has only been open for about a month now. It's in a pretty good location and really close to home for us. It was really clean and the walls were painted bright green, which made it seem bright. I decided to try to taco salad with grilled chicken, side of queso cheese, Mexican corn and a bottle of water. They fry their taco shells, which makes for a super crunchy shell, but it isn't the healthiest. The chicken had a lot of flavor. The best part about their taco salad was the portions of everything. Many places like to just load on the lettuce and barely give you any cheese. These guys had the proportions of cheese, lettuce, refried beans, chicken & sour cream. I love Mexican corn and this place did not disappoint. At first I was wondering why they only filled the bowl half way, but then I realized that you needed room to mix the mayo, butter, parmesan cheese and chili powder into the corn. If the bowl were filled to the top there would end up being corn on the table. No one wants that! My husband ordered the enchiladas and was confused by another review taking about how they weren't authentic Mexican style. He loves Mexican food and enjoyed these tremendously. It was only our first time, but we will be back. read more
