Not here--just do not carry it even though the Nob Hill in Gilroy does. Weird. Maybe I got off on the wrong foot here. On my first visit I tried to find the customer service desk to request a membership card to the store, but not only could not find a customer service desk, but could not find any store employees (except for one person frantically trying to check out a long line of customers). There were a number of people restocking shelves, but none of them were store employees--all of them worked for name brand companies that make the products that go on the shelf. I had to go to the Gilroy store to discover that Nob Hill does not use member cards (like Safeway), they think you can do this on a cell phone and later I found out that I could sign up online via my Chromebook and just use my phone number, but no one at the Morgan Hill store was there to answer that simple question. Because there is no member card for Nob Hill and the selection of items at this particular store seems limited, and items I frequently buy are not carried, I rarely shop Nob Hill at all and when I do want something in their ad, I go to the Gilroy store. Prices are about the same as Safeway, more than Walmart or Smart and Final or Target. The shopping center where this store is located and the parking lot is laid out strange and I just did not find it a pleasant shopping experience.

On my most recent visit, I picked up some pan dulce, including a classic Mexican cake with pink frosting that brought back childhood memories. Soft, sweet, and perfect with coffee. I also loved the pre-made goodie bags they sell. I grabbed a Hello Kitty goodie bag with snacks, socks, and a toy, plus a "Brain Rot" bag filled with plushie keychains, a Fruit Roll-Up, gum, and small toys. Both were thoughtfully put together and fun. The taco bar is another highlight. Their tacos and burritos are really good, and the taco boxes are a must. The box comes with a generous amount of tacos arranged in a circle with chips, making it perfect for sharing. You can also order sides like beans and rice. They have a variety of salsas directly from the taco bar too! They also carry a wide variety of traditional Mexican chips, candy, and snacks, which is perfect if you're looking to fill a piñata -- and they sell piñatas as well. Since I live in Morgan Hill and the market is also here, it's an easy quick stop whenever you're craving food or want to visit an authentic Mexican market without going far. It is larger that any other Safeway I have ever been to. Everytime I have been there both the store and the parking lot have been very full. They seem to staff better than some stores and the store is clean and well laid out. Some of the hectic vibe of the store and the parking lot has to do with the heavy traffic for Trader Joe's, the CVS pharmacy on the corner and the Walgreens on the opposite corner, the other stores in the strip shopping center, traffic loading onto and off the nearby freeway at Dunne and other issues outside of Safeway's control.

My family tried the chili verde burrito, quesadilla, carne asada and carnitas tacos. You have a choice of homemade corn tortillas which of course is a must. Yummy! My favorite was the carne asada tacos. They had a decent salsa selection and fixings for tacos. Everything looked fresh and tasted delicious. My family bought masa to make tamales from the butcher counter and the dried chili, hominy, and other fixings from this market. They are well-stocked with tamale, menudo, or meat selections for your next party! The produce is fresh and they had a store representative cutting fresh fruit for purchase in the produce area. For a period of time, I was getting my wagyu steaks from Costco for a stellar price per pound when it was in-stock, but they stopped carrying it for a year and a half so it was time to find someplace else to get my wagyu fix. I decided one day to check out this carniceria after walking home from the local farmer's market and lo and behold, my precious wagyu strip steak was staring back at me whispering to buy it. You bet I bought the steak and on a whim too lol. It even came with a certificate of authenticity and a very nice paper bag! The market inside is very spacious and it's clear to me that they keep their store pretty clean as it did have a bleach-like odor. While their primary focus is selling various cuts of "elite" meat, they also offer a selection of marinated protein, and accoutrements. After securing the goods, my husband grilled that baby up and we devoured every sliver of medium rare goodness.
