Beau, the owner, visited us and gave an estimate that was very competitive. Throughout the move process they had very good communication. Before the move, we packed up most of the things ourselves, but Phoenix offered to have some of their office staff pack up the fragile items like dishes and art work on an hourly rate. This really helped! On the day of the move, they were on time and they brought in 10 people to pack the van and get us on our way quickly. When they moved us, they did not consolidate and transfer our things to another van, our things stayed in the same van until it reached its final destination. When they unpacked, they were very professional and efficient. To summarize, we had a great experience moving with Phoenix Express and I would highly recommend them for anyone to move with!

They did not shrink wrap all of furniture so when his helper Mike stacked a short bookshelf and my nightstand on their dolly and it fell, the nightstand was damaged to where one of the drawers is not operable, will not open. He promised multiple times he would take care of the damaged item. That was 12/14/24 and it is now 3/6/25. Now he is not communicating with me, did not respond to my calls, stop responding to my text messages. I did not want to provide a bad review so I waited and waited and waited. Now I'm just mad and disappointed. If I had read his company reviews and BBB complaints before I scheduled my move with Ken, I would have spent my money, including the tip I gave, else where. For some reason, this time I was assigned movers who seemed to have absolutely no sense of urgency. They moved extremely slowly throughout the entire process, to the point that even the leasing agent on the 1st flr commented on how long they were holding up the elevator and potentially damaging it by just having it ait idle and open. Even after that, there still didn't seem to be any urgency to move things along. What was especially frustrating was that instead of one person going downstairs to grab the next item while the other continued working, they seemed to insist on waiting for their partner before going back down. Then they left the dresser just siting outside instead of bringing it in ehich added more time instead of just doing it the first time. My bf was helping some as well because we had to hurry things along. There were several moments where the process could have been much more efficient, but they simply lacked the urgency and teamwork I had experienced with this company previously. The biggest disappointment is that I KNOW what good service from this company looks like. The first two times I used them, I had the same two movers, and they were absolutely amazing, efficient, professional, and constantly moving. If I had those same movers again, I would gladly pay the price because the service was worth it. Unfortunately, these last two movers completely changed my opinion of the company. It's not even about the price. I would rather pay more for good service than pay less and watch a move drag on because there is a lack of urgency. My advice to anyone using this company: take pictures and videos throughout your move, especially when you notice things that appear inefficient or careless. I say this because the company may tell you afterward that the movers worked efficiently, but I have personally experienced what efficient service from this company looks like--and this was not it. I still believe this can be a great company, which is why I'm so disappointed. I went from recommending them to people to seriously questioning whether I would ever use them again. You know how apartment moving goes.. some times, your unit isn't exactly how you imagined it to be and there are corners and curbs you don't expect to be there on the day of the move. WELL! That's exactly what happened with our huge a** couch. They twisted it. They turned it. Nope. Nothing was working. They brought the couch all the way downstairs and Jonathan had this idea to remove the door to create more leeway. And what do you know.. it worked!! I was literally looking up apartment friendly couches and was planning on putting our current one in storage/selling it lol. Thankfully we didn't have to do that because I love this couch. To do what they do.. in this Texas weather.. I applaud them. I'm so glad we got such a great team (even the agent who booked our move was extremely professional and got back to me in a timely manner, main reason why we booked them in the first place!) Will definitely be moving with them again next time.. maybe in 2 years haha.

We got 2 young guys who didn't seem very well trained on best moving practices nor were they very well prepared in materials. They didn't have any mattress bags nor enough saran wrap to protect our mattresses or headboards. Luckily we had bags and bubble wrap left over from our last move so we used that. They were also going to use the dirty moving blankets to wrap our mattress but we asked them to use saran wrap, which they did but they ran out of saran wrap and left half of our mattress exposed during the move. When moving our consoles and couches, they also packed them into the truck so that the 4 legs of the heavy furniture would bear the brunt of the traffic movement. When we first moved out here, the other company took the legs off and laid the furniture on the side, effectively spreading the weight across the entire console instead of focusing it on the legs. I had to ask them to do the same thing because I didn't want to risk ruining the furniture. When it came time to move the mattresses into the new house, they dragged it over the mud and ripped the bag, and if we hadn't caught that, they would've brought the muddy mattress bag inside. I hate to micromanage but I feel like if I didn't, our furniture definitely would've gotten more damage / mud / dirty than it should have. The young guys seemed to work hard, but they were woefully untrained and ill prepared for the move.
