We are retired and meticulously maintain our vehicles. Oil changes and tire rotations every 5000 miles. Have done this for the past 40 years and our vehicles hold up well. We have been going to Fast Lane Quick Lube for about the last 4 years and have had about 15 oil changes done by them. They are the only place that has done the oil changes on our vehicles. We only had one bad experience in the past- they did not replace oil drain cap. Luckily we noticed the drip while we were at the Speedway just across the street and went back and they put cap back in. They were apologetic. No harm, no foul. About a week ago, we went in to have and oil change done on a Saturday. They could not get the filter off and asked that we come back Monday and they would have a torque tool to help get the filter loose. No problem, we said. We came back Monday and with some elbow grease they were able to get the filter loose (they were the ones that over tightened the filter in the 1st place). We had the oil change done and were on our way. A couple days later there was an oil spot on the drive. I took the vehicle back in. They replaced the filter. We were on our way. Last night, I noticed oil on the drive again. This morning I went back in to Fast Lane. They looked at the filter and saw that there was oil leaking from it again. I asked the tech if this was common. He said no- that he does not see this as a regular problem. He then corrected himself and said, well maybe I have seen this sometimes because you have a cap that holds the filter in place. Sometimes there might be an issue with the cap holder that holds the filter in place. There could be something wrong with the filter holder. They replaced the filter and I left. I then called the Toyota dealer here in Canton and asked them if they had a filter cap holder in stock. He said yes, so I drove over and picked one up. I asked the Toyota man if this issue is common- he he had seen it when the cap is over tightened. I paid for the new cap and went back to Fast Lane. This is now my 5th trip in a week to have an oil change done correctly. I asked the tech to replace the cap with the new one I just purchased at the Toyota dealer. He said that he would now charge me for a new filter. I was incredulous, and told him that I was having to come back repeatedly because of his mistakes. I refused to pay for another filter and left. Mistakes happen. I've had a hundred oil changes done in my life and never had a filter over tightened. But I understand that stuff happens. In this case, the business was unwilling to fix their mistake without charging me. I am left with the the cost of a new filter cap, the cleanup job of the 4 oil stains on my driveway and the cost of having someone else replace the oil cap. Sometimes things happen. But when the business that caused the issue refuses to stand behind their work, that is a problem. Word to the wise, take your business elsewhere- these guys don't make good on their promise to give you what you paid for and if they make a mistake they'll charge you to fix an issue they caused in the 1st place. read more

Don't waste your money paying a premium for this glorified oil change facility. Michigan law does not require business performing "minor repair services" to have licensed technicians. Quick Lane utilizes Ford and Lincoln branding and markets that you are getting a better level of service but in reality you are not, you are just paying more for the same service you get at any other oil change facility at a higher price. In addition to getting sub standard service their service staff is unprofessional especially Osman Javed. The manger and service writer refused to repair the damage they have done and informed me they no longer want my business. If they do something wrong on your car expect the same treatment. For years I myself trusted this facility to perform light maintenance on my vehicle foolishly thinking the premium I was paying was getting me a better level of service. On my last visit, I discovered the truth. They are not using state licensed mechanics, and even if they claim they are training their employees properly as lube techs they are not, they missed a crack in my exhaust, and improperly installed my air filter after inspection. Upon return they completely broke the air filter housing. On that day the only people working on the service floor were 2 minor children, not even a licensed technician to supervise them. I am an ASE master certified technician and a professional technical trainer, I know what a right repair is in the auto service industry and right repairs are not taking place at this facility. read more

Stay clear. I changed the oil there in Jan 2022 using Groupon instead of going to my regular place (big mistake). They up charged me $20 from the Groupon price. Fine. They did not top off fluids or check tire pressure. Did not reset oil change indicator or even provide the next service sticker, I had to ask for it. When I drove off the hood was still partially open, and had to pull over to close it. I actually posted a negative review back then, thought I got over it, but they are apparently the gift which keeps on giving. I took it recently to my usual oil change place, my brothers mechanic shop, and he couldn't get the filter off without breaking the filter housing. It was waaaay overtightened. It took him half an hour to remove it, cussing the entire time about the idiots who don't know how to properly tighten the filter housing. (master certified mechanic 20+ years). Never, ever again will I go back to these incompetent shmucks. read more

My low engine oil light came on and I was nearby this location and pulled in today to have it looked at. I was a little low on oil. The folks working here were friendly, took care of my low oil situation and fluids, and even fixed a small chip in my windshield to prevent it from turning into a linear crack. I've visited many of these oil change establishments please make sure to check you fluids after. My coolant was empty and had to spend more money for a radiator flush. Came here with a groupon for an oil change, there was a slight up charge for synthetic oil but that's okay. Guys were friendly, quick, we were in and out in under 40 minutes including a call to our insurance to fix a windshield chip (they did a very small one adjacent to the chip at no charge), gave us free bottles of water and an air freshener. We didn't need the tire rotation that came with the groupon so they banked it for us for next time. Overall very impressed, we will be back. read more

I just visited Fast Lane Quick Oil Change for the first time because my oil change light came on. Eddie and Hoss checked my oil and told me that I didn't need it changed for another 1500 miles. They even topped off my fluids for free! They easily could have charged me for an oil change and I wouldn't have known any different. I called yesterday about a good time to get an oil chance and the guy told me that anytime 8-10AM today (Wednesday the 31st) would be best. I showed up at 8:30 and have been sitting here for 10 minutes and it's apparent that nobody is here. I would understand if there was a sign about being closed on NYE or something, but there isn't and like I said, I called yesterday and was told to come at this time. Been coming to this location for years, but over the last year service has gone down to the point where I will no longer be returning. Prices are comparable, but more times than not they do not have all the oils in stock, so they will try to up sell you. Main complaint is that they have a 20 point vehicle checklist, and they will give you paperwork at the end that reads that everything was checked and is okay. But they do NOT do any of it. They do not check the tire pressures, they do not check the air filter, wipers, etc.... These checks are supposed to be built into the overall price, but they do not perform them. Just change the oil and get you out. Some people may really want that, but I want a vehicle check. read more

Went here for an oil change on my truck and my wife's car without an appointment on a Sunday afternoon expecting to be there for a while. Was able to pull both vehicles right in and didn't even have to get out of the car. Very quick service and all of the guys in the shop were really polite. I take my Porsches there. I take the oil, filter and crush washers. They do a great job, let me go down below to look at the underside of my car and are very careful. They charge me $16 for about 20 - 25 minutes of work and disposal of 8 quarts of old oil. That is a DEAL! Note: I do have a Porsche 996 Turbo that they declined to work on. That's ok. Would rather they decline the work than tackle it and cause a problem. read more

I've been bringing my classic cars to them for their yearly oil changes for about 5 or 6 years now, and have always been happy with the service, friendliness, and quality. I've never had a drain plug stripped, and in fact started going here because the place across the street did strip my drain plug twice. They recognize me when I pull in, and seem to have a low staff turn-over rate which to me equates with experienced workers. I recommend them when friends ask where to take their cars. read more

Just wanted to share our experience at Fast Lane oil change place on canton center at ford road. On December 17, they changed the oil on my car. The technician forgot to tighten the o-ring and oil filter. By that evening, I had no oil left in my car. We were stranded in Belleville and had to have the car towed to the dealer to assess the damage and took a taxi to get home after waiting over two hours for the tow truck. It has now been ten days. We have tried to contact the owner daily. We have faxed over the paper work for the very expensive repairs and cleaning the dealership had to do and expected reimbursement for the hundreds of dollars it has cost us. The owner has yet to contact us even though we have contacted them daily and submitted all paperwork documenting the situation. We have been going there sixteen years and to be treated like this is despicable. All the owner needed to do was apologize and reimburse us what he owes us. We were very lucky that no one was hurt and the engine was not destroyed. The owner and the company should be ashamed of themselves and how they treat their customers. Just wanted to vent as well as warn you about their gross negligence. I would like to give it zero stars. read more

When I had my oil changed they stripped the threads out of the drain plug and didn't tell me. I found a pool of oil on the garage floor and went back to get it checked. They spent two hours removing the plug, damaging the oil pan at the same time. I was told they had fixed the problem, but it started leaking again within a couple of days. I then found out that they had replaced the steel drain plug with a plastic temporary one which would not have survived to the next oil change. They have refused to pay to replace the damaged oil pan and I will now have to take them to small claims court to recover the cost. If they had told me the plug was stripped in the first place and agreed to pay to go to a proper garage to have it repaired the whole problem could have been avoided. I would never trust them to work on my car again. read more

They have very friendly staff that makes me feel comfortable about things that need to be done.
