If I could give this place zero stars, I would!
THEY BROKE THE HEADREST ON MY Mercedes!!!
Now I have to replace it, because I can't just put it back in place...If I am lucky I can get a second hand replacement part for $150 on Ebay.
I came to this place many years ago and it was a decent experience at that time...On 8/1/2024 I was around the area and remembered this carwash. Even though it wasn't that dirty, but based on my previous time and the convenience, I took a u-turn and decided to wash my car here a second time...Big Mistake! I should've kept driving...
I give them the car and when it's ready for me to pick it up, the headrest was separated! (I will update with pictures). When I asked the guy who gave me the car "what happened?" he took his sweet ass time to look for someone to come and talk to me. Eventually a second guy, who appears to be the manager or part of the Fasching's family comes to me and asks "What's up dude?" (Like a little professionalism wouldn't hurt, clearly the first guy had already told him there was a problem). I showed him the head rest and he attempt to push it back in. I had to tell him not to do that, there were obviously broken and cracked pieces (plastic)...he did not listen. He then proceeded to pretend that he was going to find out what happen with the guys who took my car in (the guys who vacuum). He brought a third guy with him, and immediately the third guy started to talk to me in an aggressive/defensive manner and proceeded to tell me "we have no reason to touch your car there, it was obviously broken already and that's why it popped out!"
I asked him to describe to me mechanically, how exactly that would happen...he had no answer and just kept repeating the same thing. The head rest will only pop out in the event of a crash, it has a sensor. To open the headrest you need to know what you're doing or be a MB mechanic...otherwise it was forced, especially judging from the broken plastic pieces.
I assume that they tried to bring the seat forward to vacuum or finish cleaning and they did not know how and then tried to force the seat by grabbing the headrest, then broke it further by trying to force it back in...it is fine if they didn't know to move the seat, but then they were supposed to come and get me and ask me how to do it.
I asked the Manager acting type of guy..."Are you guys saying that between me handing you the car and you giving it back to me, while my car was in your custody, the headrest just popped out because it was already broken?"...he said "yeah, sorry dude!" (again with the "dude" talk).
Unfortunately, this is the second carwash where I have experienced this type of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability, and worse where they immediately get aggressive/defensive. I see others complaining about their cars not being vacuumed...consider yourselves lucky. A couple of reviews mention cracked windows, I feel your pain.
Usually I like to wash my car personally, that way I clean it to my expectations, but sometimes for the convenience or time I have done the carwashes...not ever again, I have learned my lessons.
