Today I came in for something I had ordered online. I was directed to this short, fat, bald, man who immediately turned angry the minute asked for his advice on how to use the product. For this guy to get so angry so fast when asked for a simple response, makes me wonder how he still has a job. Honestly, I can only assume that unless this guy has a record of being so prolifically rude to every customer that walks thru the door that this guy is a grade A homophobe. I know homophobia when I see it. Ive lived with it my whole life. But I called him out and told him he was rude and that I could have gone to Home Depot but I want to support Feinsod's in the shadow of a superstore. When I said I could have easily gone to Home Depot but chose not to he screamed to me "THEN GO TO HOME DEPOT!" I hope the management of this store is ok with losing a long time customer at the cost of supporting an obvious hater. Good Bye Feinsod's I'm off to Lowe's. I tried to support you.

I was recently shocked to find out how poorly this company treats its long time repeat customers…read more Over the last deacde, my family has spent nearly $10k framing art for our home and for gifts. No more. Not here. I have always paid 1/2 up front and 1/2 upon pick up. Yet, when I returned to claim my framing this time, I was informed that the store had made an error and the total bill had increased by 35% from roughly $1,000 to nearly $1,500. I had been telephoned 3x in 24 hours by the owner, reminding me that my framing was ready to be picked up. Not once, in any of those telephone conversations, did he raise the change in price. He left that to the employee behind the counter. I was given no choice. I also run a small business and do understand that employees make errors. When they do, our firm owns up to it immediately and the customer NEVER pays for our errors. Our average price point dwarfs that of Creative Framing, so mistakes are quite costly. As for the "honesty, integrity and loads of creativity" that Creative Framing advertises on their web site, I guess one out of of three is about par for the course!

I have to admit, I was a bit hesitant at first, as I was accustomed to taking my art to my picture framer in Manhattan who always did incredible work. Upon entering I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted warmly by the young man behind the counter. It turned out he was the manager of the store and had over 25 years of experience working as a professional picture framer in New York City. The manager had excellent design and color sense, was very patient and made sure I was aware of every detail of the custom framing process. My custom framing job turned out great and I'm very confident that my valuable artwork has been properly preserved with acid-free materials and museum glass. I found my new framer!

It pertains to their HOME SERVICES division which I used to clean and restore my cedar wood roof. They were at first very nice and repsonsive. After the fact, I discovered they did not use the proper treatment or restorative process, In the end I got poor workmanship that did not last the test of time. To make matters worse, they had zero interest in rectifying their poor job. Stay away from these guys!

I can't think of a time I've visited when I wasn't approached by a salesperson offering help. The store is well stocked and immaculate, and they can even do repairs on some household items. In fact, I brought something in for repair last week and received a call just a few hours later that it was ready for pickup. And this kind of turnaround was on a Sunday! Prices are reasonable, and certainly reasonable enough to keep me out of Home Depot or Lowe's. Weed & Duryea saves me the trek and the annoyance.
