I don't understand that part, if I can't see, I should be able to let the doctor know right? Well it was less than 5 mins that I was in the chair. I understand that new employers hire new employees but there are no familiar faces at all, I miss all the old employees, they were always so nice, caring, and welcoming. These new employees look like they are still in high school. One of the girls did not know if she was charging me right. I will be taking my business somewhere else.

I came across the Reedley Optometric Eyecare Center through some research showing Dr. Tajiri was at the forefront of studies on Vertical Heterophoria, which I may have or something similar. While Dr. Tajiri has retired, Dr. Byran Eidal studied under him and now runs this center. Dr. Bryan Eidal was kind enough to review my eye history and give me some great suggestions on tests to do and what may be my problem (might be oil glands plugged up or other form of dry eye and/or horizontal problem and may need vision therapy). And he was honest enough to recommend that I can have these done around me rather than travel the 400 mile/8 hr roundtrip from LA. They were really flexible with the schedule (same-day basically right away). They did it for free, even though I'm not a regular client (though I think I will be now). They even threw on new nose pads. I had already gone to another place that day that said they couldn't be fixed. That group thought they needed to tighten the screw and it wouldn't tighten more. So glad I called these guys. It was an 8+ minute hold, but I assume it's usually not that bad. Regardless, it seems like they're busy for good reason. It was worth the wait for me in this case.

Dr Hayashi remembers his patients and is open to trying different things that may work best based on your feedback. One of my favorite things is that the office staff has the ability to text. I say interesting because right from our initial conversation he was asking me thoughtful questions coupled with offering fascinating and relevant eye knowledge that I was excited to learn! Uploaded all my insurance cards and ID. By the time I got to the office, it was easy breezy and the front desk staff was super nice. Burgandy did the advance tests and was also super nice! Dr. Feil did some more tests and explained what was happening in my eyes in simple, easy to understand terms. He is very thorough! Since I'm a Medicare insurance agent, I have spoken to hundreds of clients over the years about cataract surgery and how they felt pressured to pay extra for laser and upgraded lens. We had nice convo about cataract surgery where he freely shared his thoughts about the different options. Everyone made me feel very welcomed! I felt like I had been going there for years.
