I came across the Reedley Optometric Eyecare Center through some research showing Dr. Tajiri was at the forefront of studies on Vertical Heterophoria, which I may have or something similar. While Dr. Tajiri has retired, Dr. Byran Eidal studied under him and now runs this center. Dr. Bryan Eidal was kind enough to review my eye history and give me some great suggestions on tests to do and what may be my problem (might be oil glands plugged up or other form of dry eye and/or horizontal problem and may need vision therapy). And he was honest enough to recommend that I can have these done around me rather than travel the 400 mile/8 hr roundtrip from LA. Thank you so much Dr. Eidal, I really appreciate your advice and you rock!

My prescription last year was perfect and I trust the one I received today is as well. Last visit he informed me of on set of cataracts.Today he gave me objective and subjective outlook of my situation, due to the option of waiting to do surgery at a later date. The information given was very clear, leaving the option up to me. I understand my situation as explained which is most important. I chose to wait for the surgery but he said I can change my mind and he will move forward any time I would like. For now, returning in 6 months. My exam started at the scheduled time, rare! If you are looking for an eye Doctor that tends to your needs and writes a good RX, I highly recommend Dr. Carter.

The doctor took their time, was extremely thorough, and explained everything with a level of knowledge that made me feel confident in my care. What stood out most was how kind and present they were throughout the entire appointment. The exam itself was very comprehensive, and it's clear they truly care about doing things properly rather than rushing patients through. I've had some really terrible eye exam experiences in town at the last three facilities, and after leaving a doctor I loved in West Hollywood, I hadn't been able to find someone of that caliber locally until now. This office actually exceeds that experience, which says a lot. They also took my insurance and CareCredit, which made the whole process even easier and more accessible. I'm so happy to have found this office and finally feel like I've found my eye doctor. Highly recommend.

They even threw on new nose pads. I had already gone to another place that day that said they couldn't be fixed. That group thought they needed to tighten the screw and it wouldn't tighten more. So glad I called these guys. It was an 8+ minute hold, but I assume it's usually not that bad. Regardless, it seems like they're busy for good reason. It was worth the wait for me in this case.
