I write this review to hopefully prevent another customer service disaster like I had there today. If you don't have an issue, you won't know and good for you! The dress was not ready the day the husband promised on 7/25. He knew I wanted to pick up earlier since it's for a very important event. After several calls and attempts to pick up in the days after 7/25, the husband continued telling me that it wasn't ready, that they were working on a wedding dress. I'm sorry, but I don't really care about excuses. Anyway, we were finally able to pick up a week late. The waist up fit perfectly fine when I dropped off, and was NOT supposed to be altered. Now I cannot zip it up. Called to explain the issue and the husband giggles and tells me just come in and they'll see what they can do. Not considering or caring that I'm 1/2 hr away and my schedule is tight. I get there and they talk over each other the whole time making it very difficult to have any sort of conversation, but suffice it to say that they both kept denying that they altered the top of the dress. I saw what appeared to be chalk markings near the zipper and the sides, which is usually how they mark for altering, and pointed that out. They both responded louldy while the wife was wiping it off, denying they marked the dress. It was almost controlled chaos. I had just purchased the dress and brought to them with no markings. THEY THEN TOLD ME I MUST HAVE GAINED WEIGHT. I did not, as proven by the fact that the hip area where wife altered the dress fit perfectly, which they kept telling me. How could that be if I gained weight? It couldn't. I was obviously upset, asking them what they were going to do about it. The man told me that they could take it out on top, but that would be another alteration, ie I would need to pay for that which was ridiculous, like the whole experience. But the wife then told me there was no way to take it out.They continued talking at me, both at the same time, and the husband was laughing and smiling. It was a nightmare, they did nothing for me except lie to me and ruin my dress, cause me a lot of stress and financial distress. Quality Alterations was able to accommodate a bridesmaid dress alteration (hemming) with a week's…read morenotice, during prom dress season no less. The work looked perfect and was completed on time. Alterations are expensive, and Quality is not the cheapest option in Knoxville; the simple hem job cost $50. I wasn't told the cost up front (and didn't ask because it wouldn't have mattered), so you'll need to ask if price is a concern. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because when I went to pick up, one lady was pinning up a dress for a customer but never greeted me or told me someone would be helping me soon. I stood for over 5 minutes before another lady came out, and she immediately helped the lady who had come in behind me instead of asking who was next (it should have been clear that we were in a queue). The other customer apologized to me (I didn't complain because I wasn't in a rush), but the employee never said anything to me except to tell me the total when she rang up my ticket.
